Chapter 19 Rescue

"This? Okay! What are you all standing there for? Put the person here and make sure they lie down." The waiter pointed to the empty bed against the wall and said loudly.

Tian Yu and her group then came to their senses and quickly laid the old man down on the bedside. The waiter pushed the sick young master to the bedside to take his pulse. Tian Yu noticed that he frowned slightly, then let go of his hand, turned the wheelchair around and looked at Tian Yu and her group, saying, "The old man is very ill. Why did you only bring him to the hospital now?"

Upon hearing this, the two children cried even harder, especially the girl who knelt in front of the bed calling for her grandmother.

"Is there any hope?" Tian Yu looked at the situation and then at Zhao the coachman. It seemed that only she could make the decision now.

"Yes, but she may need expensive medicinal herbs to recuperate slowly. This old woman already has a chronic illness, and she has been overworked and hungry for many years, so her body is already exhausted. How did you treat her? She is so ill, how could you still make her work?" The sick young master scolded Tian Yu, and Tian Yu knew that he meant well, so she could only nod and accept it without explaining further.

"As long as it can save their lives, please prescribe a medicine, doctor." Tian Yu saw that the brother and sister had lost their resolve after hearing the doctor's words. Tian Yu had no choice but to take charge again, thinking that she should help them to the end.

"Young master, this won't do. Look at them, they don't seem like they have the money to buy medicine."

"You, you, how can we not have money? Please, doctor, prescribe the medicine quickly. Saving lives is the priority. We'll pay for it." Seeing that the sick young master didn't move, Tian Yu had no choice but to emphasize again.

Upon hearing Tian Yu's words, the young master in the wheelchair ordered the waiter, Xiao Wu, to fetch a pill, feed it to the old man, and then push the wheelchair to the counter to write a prescription. Xiao Wu was then sent to fetch the medicine, and he scolded them again, giving them no kind looks, clearly worried they couldn't afford it. After the medicine was ready, Tian Yu asked Tangyuan to stay with the girl while she went to retrieve the medicine. Xiao Wu refused, demanding payment first—ten taels of silver in total. Hearing the amount, Tian Yu frowned, glancing at the sick young master. She noticed he wasn't even looking at them, already engrossed in a medical book at his desk. She then looked at the coachman, Zhao, who quickly explained that he was just a driver and should wait outside.
