Chapter 258 Exposed?

After Li Xingyun and the others left, Tian Yu finally felt a little better. Wu Yaohui said, "If the Empress likes anything, she can tell me, and I can have someone prepare it for her."

"Really! Can I go out then?" Tian Yu asked innocently.

"No! You can't go anywhere except here, unless you remember what explosives are?"

"Never mind then! I can't remember anything." Tian Yu lowered her head and went back to her palace.

Wu Yaohui watched Tian Yu leave dejectedly, his hands clenched tightly. Tian Yu returned to her room, closed the door, and tucked under the covers. She secretly pulled out the note Li Xingyun had slipped to her from her sleeve. Li Xingyun had given it to her under the guise of taking her pulse. Tian Yu opened it and cried upon seeing the words. The note said her daughter was doing well at Prince Wu's residence. Although outwardly under house arrest, they were all doing well and had the opportunity to leave the capital at any time. Prince Wu had prepared an escape route, and she shouldn't worry. Tian Yu felt a renewed sense of purpose. She crumpled the note into a ball, chewed it, and swallowed it. As long as they were all safe, there was still hope. She would find a way to investigate Zhao Moyan's death and clear the Zhao family's name. What Zhao Moyan hadn't finished, she would do!

For several days in a row, Tian Yu followed Wu Yaohui. On the surface, she didn't want to take the medicine and pretended not to, but in reality, Tian Yu wanted to find out some information from him and observe his behavior and habits, thinking that she might be able to find some evidence. Wu Yaohui did not stop her and let Tian Yu follow him in and out, but there were also times when he deliberately shook off Tian Yu.

The opportunity finally arrived. Tian Yu had fallen asleep on the table in Wu Yaohui's bedroom. When she woke up, Wu Yaohui was gone, and she was all alone in the bedroom. Tian Yu called out a few times, but no one answered. She looked around and searched everywhere. Seeing that no one was there, she grew bolder and began to look for clues. The day before, after receiving a letter, Wu Yaohui had locked her out and stayed in his room for a long time. Tian Yu thought it must be something important, and she remembered that his expression was very grim at the time.

After searching the room without finding anything useful, Tian Yu slammed her hand on the table in frustration. Suddenly, she realized the table sounded off, so she tapped other places to confirm that something was wrong. She moved the items on the table, trying to find clues, but couldn't find anything unusual. Tian Yu then crawled to the floor and went under the table, finally finding a switch. She gently turned the switch, and part of the table popped out from the side, revealing several letters inside. Tian Yu opened them one by one, quickly glanced through them, and then put them back in their original positions. Hearing the commotion outside, Tian Yu panicked. Seeing that she was about to be exposed, she simply pushed everything to the ground, throwing the memorials on the table one by one. Wu Yaohui came in and saw Tian Yu sitting on the table throwing memorials around, eating an apple as she did so.

"What are you doing?" Wu Yaohui asked Tian Yu with a gloomy expression.

"You're back. I've been looking for you for a long time. Where have you been?" Tian Yu stopped and asked.

"Did you do this?" Wu Yaohui asked, looking at the messy room.

"Yeah! I woke up and couldn't find you. I thought you were hiding, so I looked everywhere for you and that's how I accidentally got this."

"Guards! Take the Empress back and clean this place up!"

Tian Yu obediently followed the palace maid back to her own palace. Wu Yaohui looked at his palace with a dark face, realizing that Tian Yu had made such a mess of it. He took deep breaths again and again to remind himself that the explosives were the most important thing.

Back in her room, Tian Yu was still replaying everything she had just witnessed in her mind, finding it hard to believe why they would do such a thing, and fell into deep thought.

To find out what was going on, Tian Yu went to the Cold Palace alone the next day, the place she had previously blown up. The walls had been repaired, but the bomb marks were still visible. Tian Yu entered the room, which was still very deserted, as if no one had lived there for a long time. Tian Yu looked around and walked to the bed to examine it more closely when she heard a noise outside. Tian Yu immediately ran out and saw Rong'er standing there. Rong'er saw her too and burst into tears. She knelt down in front of Tian Yu and said, "Empress, why have you come here?"

Tian Yu almost forgot she had amnesia, and quickly lowered her outstretched hand, saying, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"Has the Empress really forgotten everything? Does she not even remember Rong'er?"

"I don't know you. What are you doing here?"

"Your Majesty, ever since you blew up the wall and escaped, the Emperor has punished Rong'er by sending her here. There is nothing here, and Rong'er doesn't want to stay here. Your Majesty, please save this servant."

"Get up first, I can't help you."

"Your Majesty, I beg you, Rong'er will do anything, just don't lock Rong'er up here."

"Get up, get up and we'll talk."

"The Empress has agreed to Rong'er's request!" Rong'er said, smiling as she wiped away her tears.

“No, it’s not up to me. You can go to the Emperor yourself. Besides, I really don’t remember you,” Tian Yu said, helping her up.

"Does the Empress still remember the former Crown Princess Qiuxue?"

"I don't remember who she is?"

"Your Majesty's best sister, don't you remember?" Rong'er reminded her, but Tian Yu shook her head.

"How did the Empress get here?" Rong'er asked, glancing around as she spoke.

"No one followed me, I came here by myself. I just walked and walked and ended up here. Why is that wall different from the other places?" Tian Yu asked, pointing to the bombed wall.

"Everyone says the Empress has lost her memory, but I didn't believe it. But now it seems that Your Majesty really doesn't remember anything. You're the one who blew up that wall, and you don't remember that either?"

"I blew it up!?" Tian Yu asked in surprise.

"Yes, it was you who wanted to escape and was bombed, but why are you back now? Why did you come back?" Rong'er asked.
