Chapter 270 Piercing the Heart!

When their eyes met, Prince Wu waved his hand, the soldiers withdrew, and Zhao Moyan stepped into the East Palace. He walked step by step to the palace where Tian Yu had lived. Zhao Moyan stopped in front of the palace gate, and the little eunuch kneeling in front of the palace gate said tremblingly, "Are you the Marquis of Zhenbei?"

Zhao Moyan nodded at him, and the little eunuch quickly took out a neatly folded piece of cloth from his pocket and handed it to Zhao Moyan. Zhao Moyan reached out and picked it up, unfolding it layer by layer, revealing the bloodstains little by little. The little eunuch said, "This is what my master asked me to personally deliver to the Marquis of Zhenbei, saying that it was written by Mr. Tian."

Zhao Moyan had already unwrapped the cloth and looked at the words written in blood: "Ten years have passed, and we are separated by life and death..." Zhao Moyan trembled as he read the entire poem and said to the little eunuch, "Please thank your master for me!"

"He's gone. When you entered the city, the Emperor sent men to kill all the palace servants associated with Mr. Kawada," the little eunuch said, weeping.

"May I have your name?"

"The younger one is named Xishun."

"Get up!"

Zhao Moyan put the blood-stained cloth to his chest, reached out and pushed open the palace gate. The scene that greeted him made his pupils dilate, and he felt as if his body weighed a thousand pounds. He couldn't lift his legs and had to hold onto the door frame to barely get into the room. Prince Wu and the guards could only watch from outside. Zhao Moyan walked into the room step by step. His name was carved on all the wood, and his name was written in blood on all the cloth. Every single thing they had done together was written down in detail, even the dates. He couldn't imagine what Tian Yu had gone through. Overwhelmed with grief, Zhao Moyan reached out one hand to hold onto a pillar covered with his name. He gently touched it, then clutched his chest with his other hand and suddenly coughed up blood. Prince Wu and the palace servants outside were startled and wanted to rush in to help him, but Zhao Moyan waved his hand and closed the palace gate, preventing them from entering.
