Chapter 273 Time Travel Again!

The day Tian Yu lit the explosives at the palace gate, her soul was instantly blasted away. Reluctant and helpless, perhaps this would bring everyone relief. She gazed at the scene before her, slowly becoming confused, and finally disappeared. When she awoke again, she saw white cement walls and the strong smell of disinfectant. She knew she was in a hospital room, but she only remembered that apart from the car accident, nothing else had affected her. Looking around, it seemed she was saved. It felt like she had a very long dream, but now she couldn't remember anything. Only the hospital director was by her bedside. Tian Yu smiled at her and said, "Director, what brings you here?"

The headmistress breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that she was awake and said, "Child, you're finally awake. You've been asleep for a month."

"Has it been that long? I didn't feel a thing?"

"It's alright, it's good that you're awake!"

A week later, Tian Yu was back to normal, except for the severe head injury, which healed quickly after she woke up. The orphanage director had to return first, so after Tian Yu completed the discharge procedures and changed her clothes, she boarded the bus back to the orphanage. This time, she would return safely; everyone was waiting for her!

When the bus passed the mountain road where the accident had occurred again, Tian Yu, looking at the mountains outside, suddenly stopped the bus for some reason and got off halfway. Carrying her luggage, she walked along the mountain road to the site of the accident. Tian Yu didn't know what was wrong with her, but a voice inside her told her to go and see. She wondered if she had left something behind. Standing on the edge of the cliff, she put down her luggage, stepped over the railing, and looked down at the lush trees below. Tian Yu didn't understand why she felt a pang of heartache, why she wanted to come here. The railing had been repaired; it seemed only the broken trees below could still bear witness to what had happened more than a month ago. Tian Yu took a deep breath and told herself it was time to leave. Just as she turned to leave, she saw the scene below and couldn't help but turn back to look closely. Tian Yu's mouth dropped open in disbelief. Was it a mirage? In the darkness, a dark figure was fighting a group of people, with many others helping him fight off the soldiers. The entire city was awash in blood. Tian Yu felt a pang of heartache for that lonely figure, especially for those hesitant eyes. She reached out to touch him, but the next second she slipped and fell off a cliff. Before she could even scream, she vanished into thin air, and the scene disappeared with her.

In the blink of an eye, a white light flashed, and Tian Yu arrived at the place she had seen in the scene. However, it was already daylight. The streets were filled with fleeing civilians and soldiers fighting desperately. The city gates were wide open, and a large army was pouring in. Tian Yu stood on the street, at a loss. At first, she thought it was a play and that this must be some film crew. But when she saw the corpses lying around her that were really dead, and the blood that sprayed onto her face was still warm, she was terrified and lost her mind. She hurriedly followed the crowd and ran away. The scene was chaotic. As she ran, she did not forget to tear off a piece of rag to wrap herself up, hoping that no one would notice that she was different.

After the army entered the city, they did not continue killing. The city's residents automatically moved to the sides to make way for the soldiers. Tian Yu, head down, hid in the crowd. A troop of people rode past Tian Yu, and she peeked up to see a man with graying hair and a serious expression galloping past on a black horse. The wounded soldier beside her was still bleeding from his leg. Tian Yu quickly tore off a piece of cloth to bandage him and indirectly asked, "Brother, do you know what happened?"

"We don't want the two princes to attack the city! But we can't disobey the imperial decree!"

Realizing this was a war fought for the throne, Tian Yu finally understood that she had transmigrated. It was clearly a time of war. Looking at her tattered clothes, Tian Yu sighed and continued tending to the wounded around her. Just then, another group of people entered the city. If the previous group exuded a solemn, death-defying air, this group was all about momentum. The leader was clearly of high status. Tian Yu glanced at him quickly and moved to the back of the crowd. At this moment, survival was paramount; everything else could be dealt with later. That was Tian Yu's only thought at the time.

After spending several days mingling with other vagrants on the streets of the capital, Tian Yu quickly became familiar with everything. However, without any money, everything was difficult, and finding work was even harder. Being a woman, Tian Yu had no choice but to disguise herself, put on some tattered clothes she found, and beg for food with the others. At least she had something to eat. She was very confused about how she had ended up here. At first, Tian Yu hoped that she was just dreaming, but after pinching herself repeatedly, she had to face the truth. She remembered that she had only glanced at the street once, so how did she fall down here?

The capital city was much calmer that day, and the streets were cleaned up. Tian Yu sat on the steps with a broken bowl in front of her and a young boy beside her. She was so grateful to the boy that she was about to starve to death there.

Huang Xuan and Qiu Ju walked down the street. Huang Xuan said, "Don't blame yourself. Nobody wanted this to happen. Right now, the Prince is the most important person!"

“You’re right, but the prince still hasn’t woken up, and Tangyuan refuses to rest and keeps watching over him,” Qiuju said sadly.

"Alright, you've got your medicine. I'll take you home now!"

Seeing that the two looked like lovers, Tian Yu quickly told Xuri to go beg for food. Xuri was the name Tian Yu had given him, and the boy liked it very much.

Xu Ri immediately stepped forward to beg, and sure enough, the man generously gave Xu Ri a small piece of silver. Xu Ri was very happy and ran to Tian Yu, saying, "Sister, it's silver!"

"See? It works!"

"It works, it works, how do you know he'll give it to you?"

"Secret, let's go buy some delicious food."

The two used the small piece of silver to eat a meal of wontons. After they finished eating, they strolled around the street and saw Xuri selling candied hawthorns. Tianyu swallowed hard and walked up to him, picked up a skewer and handed it to Xuri, then picked up another skewer for herself. Before she could pay, someone rode up on horseback, interrupting her. He whispered a few words to the shopkeeper before paying and leaving.

Because of Tian Yu, the two of them worked together to beg for food, and they did manage to make some money. Seeing that they had a few coins to save, the two of them even discussed that once they had saved enough money, they would stop begging. Xu Ri wanted to open a restaurant so that they could eat meat every day. Tian Yu smiled and said, "It will definitely happen. I'll let you eat your fill from now on!"

Xu Ri also smiled and said, "Sister! When I grow up, I will definitely marry you."

Tian Yu smiled and patted his messy hair, saying, "Okay! I'm just afraid that you'll forget about your sister when you meet a pretty girl!"

"No way! Sister is my goddess, I will be good to you for the rest of my life," Xu Ri said, patting his chest.

"Okay! I'll be waiting!" Tian Yu said with a smile.

Xu Ri immediately said happily, "Then it's a deal! From now on, you're my wife, and you can't go back on your word!"

Tian Yu, who was quite fond of this boy, smiled and said, "Alright! You actually took it seriously? How old are you to be thinking about getting married already?!"

"Why are you going back on your word again? No, you promised to be my wife! You can't go back on your word!"

Tian Yu liked Xuri very much, feeling like he was her own younger brother. Seeing him anxious, she patted his head with a smile and said, "Silly boy! Let's go!"
