Zhao Moyan seemed not to hear, but Tangyuan smiled and said, "Wherever Mother is, Father and I will naturally be there, right, Father?"
“Yes, Tangyuan is right,” Zhao Moyan said, smiling and nodding at them.
She took the rice porridge served by the servants and began to eat with them. Tian Yu stared at him for a long time, wondering what was wrong with him. He seemed different. What had they all gone through in the month she was gone? Something felt off. She had been enjoying her meal, but now she had no appetite. Tangyuan and Zhao Moyan, on the other hand, were eating with great relish.
After dinner, Tangyuan was going to the military camp with Zhao Moyan. Tianyu felt that she was finally going to be free. She even repented for her evil thoughts and felt sorry for Tangyuan. But the next second she broke down. Tangyuan insisted on taking her with him.
Upon hearing this, Tian Yu quickly said, "That won't do. Women are not allowed in the military camp. If the superiors find out, they'll be beheaded." She then looked at Zhao Moyan expectantly, hoping he would say something.
“Sure, occasional visits are permitted now that there’s no war, and I’m your superior!” Zhao Moyan said to Tian Yu with a serious expression.
"Mommy, did you hear that? Let's go quickly!" Tangyuan said with a bright smile.
"But I can't ride a horse," Tian Yu quickly continued, trying to find another excuse.
“I’ll take you!” Zhao Moyan said again.
“One horse isn’t enough! You and Tangyuan should go instead!” Tian Yu refused again.
“The three of you can still sit down; you and Tangyuan aren’t heavy,” Zhao Moyan said.
Tian Yu's eyes practically popped out of their sockets, hoping Zhao Moyan wouldn't agree, but Zhao Moyan acted as if he didn't see it and rejected her excuses one by one.
"Mother, please come with us! I'm really good at archery, don't you want to see me?" Tangyuan pleaded.
"But Mother has other things to take care of. How about we go another day?" Tian Yu still didn't want to go.
"Mother is just giving Tangyuan the runaround again. Does Mother not want Tangyuan anymore? Mother hasn't played with Tangyuan for a long time. Is Mother leaving Tangyuan?" Tangyuan said with red eyes.
Seeing Tangyuan's pitiful look, then glancing at Zhao Moyan, Tian Yu reluctantly nodded. Seeing Tangyuan's immediate cheerful reaction, Tian Yu really wondered if she had been tricked again.
