Tian Yu was dreaming of enjoying a cake she made with the children when she felt something soft on her lips and couldn't help but open her mouth for a bite. Zhao Moyan groaned and leaned towards Tian Yu, managing to brace himself with his hands to avoid crushing her. His hair fell naturally to their sides, sunlight filtering through it and casting flickering shadows on their faces. Zhao Moyan, his lips bitten, stared wide-eyed at Tian Yu, thinking she was awake. But after a while, she didn't open her eyes. Instead, she released her bite and licked the spot where Zhao Moyan had been bitten. Zhao Moyan's face instantly flushed red as he looked at Tian Yu beneath him and her pink lips stained with a little blood. His Adam's apple bobbed several times before he managed to restrain himself. Tian Yu, oblivious, smiled and turned over. Zhao Moyan quickly regained his composure, sitting up straight to prevent her from waking, and wiped the blood from his lips with his fingers. Tian Yu didn't wake up; instead, she turned to her side and continued sleeping. Looking at the sleeping Tian Yu, Zhao Moyan thought, "So she thought I was food. What a glutton!" Thinking about it made me laugh, so I lay down facing Tian Yu and fell asleep without realizing it.
When Tian Yu opened her eyes, she saw Zhao Moyan magnified several times in front of her. Golden sunlight bathed him, warm and serene, a picture of tranquility and beauty. For the first time, Tian Yu felt that Zhao Moyan wasn't so cold after all; he seemed like a warm person. Lost in her gaze, she was suddenly startled when Zhao Moyan opened his eyes. Their eyes met, and Tian Yu froze, unsure how to react. Zhao Moyan smiled and leaned close to her ear, saying, "Have you looked enough?"
Upon hearing this, Tian Yu blushed instantly, looked around awkwardly, scrambled to her feet, patted her clothes, and said, "I, I didn't see anything."
"Want to see more?"
"No, I was just looking to see why your lips are sore?" Tian Yu was about to explain when she noticed a faint wound on Zhao Moyan's lips and asked.
"I was bitten by a greedy cat," Zhao Moyan said, giving Tian Yu a meaningful look.
"A cat? Are there any cats here? I don't see any."
"They've already run off. Let's hurry back; it's getting late."
"Let's hurry up and go. Maybe there really are some wild animals in this forest?"
Zhao Moyan smiled without saying a word, led Tian Yu out of the woods, mounted his horse and returned to the military camp. By this time, the sun was already setting.
Zhao Moyan returned to his tent. They had missed lunch, and Tian Yu was feeling very hungry. However, considering they needed to return to the city before dark, she thought it best to go back for dinner. But Li Yong insisted that he would take them back after dinner. At Li Yong's repeated requests, Tian Yu went to the mess hall, rolled up her sleeves, and prepared dinner. She stir-fried a large pot of leftover scraps and meat scraps into a soup base, and also made a dish of scrambled eggs with tomatoes so that those who couldn't eat spicy food could also eat it. Finally, she cooked a pot of plain noodles, poured on the toppings, and Li Yong couldn't wait and ate a bowl first. He and Tian Yu took some away, and the rest were distributed to the soldiers below.
Inside the tent, just as Tian Yu had set the table, Tang Yuan came running at the smell. Tian Yu smiled and served him a bowl. Li Yong sat down and started eating himself, calling out, "Big brother, come and eat! Sister-in-law's noodles are delicious!" Tang Yuan also called out to Zhao Moyan.
Zhao Moyan put down her book and sat down at the table. Tian Yu served her noodles and asked, "Can you eat spicy food?"
"Big brother doesn't eat spicy food, doesn't sister-in-law know that?" Li Yong asked curiously.
Tian Yu glanced at Li Yong, then at Zhao Moyan, unsure how to explain. She could only smile and nod, serving him some tomato and egg soup. Zhao Moyan took the bowl and politely said, "Thank you!"
Tian Yu smiled and replied, "You're welcome!"
"Dad and Mom seem a bit strange," Tangyuan said to Li Yong, glancing at the two of them.
"Really? Hey! Big brother, what happened to your lip?" Li Yong also took a closer look at the two of them and noticed the wound on Zhao Moyan's lip, asking with concern.
"I accidentally got bitten by a cat." As Zhao Moyan said this, his eyes were intentionally or unintentionally glancing at Tian Yu. Li Yong understood the situation immediately and chuckled foolishly.
"Why are you looking at me? It was the cat that bit me, not me." After saying that, she realized something was wrong and wanted to explain, but seeing Li Yong's smiling face, she was so angry and embarrassed that she lowered her head to eat and stopped looking at them.
"Ha! Ha! Ha!" Li Yong laughed even more heartily.
"Eat your food! If you laugh again, I won't let you eat." Hearing his laughter, Tian Yu became even more annoyed. She felt like she was the one who bit him, but she hadn't done anything. However, hearing Li Yong's laughter and seeing Zhao Moyan's eyes, Tian Yu glared at Li Yong, telling him to shut up and eat. It was so annoying!
After dinner, it got dark. Tian Yu stood up, pulled Tang Yuan along, and said to Li Yong, "Is the carriage ready? We need to go back."
"Oh dear! I forgot. Why don't you stay here for the night, sister-in-law, and go back tomorrow?" Li Yong said, slapping his thigh, and winked at Tangyuan.
"You! Didn't you just promise me you'd take us home after dinner?" Tian Yu said angrily.
"Mommy, I want to stay and sleep with Daddy," Tangyuan said coquettishly.
"No, we agreed to go back tonight, otherwise Grandpa and Grandma will worry." Tian Yu was determined not to stay.
"No, they know you're here and they're quite at ease. Sister-in-law, why don't you stay the night and go back with your brother tomorrow?"
"Li Yong, you... I don't care, just take me back now," Tian Yu said angrily.
"Ah! It's too dark and the road is difficult to walk on. I have something to do. Why don't you ask your older brother to take you?" Li Yong pointed at Zhao Moyan, who was reading the memorial, got up and ran off, not forgetting to wink at Tangyuan.
"Mother, let's stay here for one night!" Tangyuan pleaded, tugging at her clothes.
Tian Yu looked at Zhao Moyan, squatted down, and said to Tangyuan, "Tangyuan, Mommy has something to do and has to go back tonight. Can I come with you another day?"
