Chapter 9: Deep Desire (1/2)

The warm water flowed across her snow-white skin, soaking Pei Xiqing's lighter black hair, which then flowed down her delicate neck. The hotel bathroom was small, and the mist obscured her naked body.

She was a little anxious, afraid that the man would come back at any time. She couldn't be careless when washing her hair, so she rubbed her hair and washed her body at a fast speed with trepidation.

You are so dirty.

It was so dirty that she felt restless, as if something was crawling all over her body all the time.

If she wasn't afraid of turning into a zombie, she wouldn't bother others. It was really inappropriate to make such a request... After all, in the apocalypse, everyone was used to crawling in the sand and fighting all kinds of rotten zombies. Living was difficult, so who cared about these things?

After washing for about eleven minutes, Pei Xiqing, wrapped in a bathrobe, poked her head out of the bathroom.

Still, he hasn't come back yet.

There was no one in the room.

She breathed a sigh of relief and started washing her clothes.

I don't know if I can do it in one night.

However, when she was wandering around the city she had just come from, she found some clean clothes to wear. The clothes underneath were clean and did not need to be washed for the time being. She would wash the coat that was covered in blood, rolled around on the ground, and was stained with various unknown liquids first.

After washing her coat and pants, she put on her thin sweater and shorts that only covered her thighs, stepped on a chair in the hotel, and hung clothes out the window.

The hotel is not as good as a star-rated hotel. This room has no balcony. There is only a row of clothes drying places outside the window. If you want to hang clothes, you have to climb up to the window to hang them.

She was stretching her arms and trying to hang up the clothes when the closed door behind her was suddenly opened from the outside.

The tall man was holding something in his hand. When he looked up, he saw a thinly dressed woman with a pair of well-proportioned legs standing on the edge of the windowsill.

After taking a shower, her eyebrows and eyes, which were originally obscured by the dust, were perfectly revealed. Her face was rosy from the heat, making her look beautiful and pure. Her hair was dripping with water and was tucked behind her ears. A drop of water slid down her neck and seeped into a small area of her grey sweater, wetting it.

His eyes were quiet, "What's wrong?"

Pei Xiqing's ears turned red with embarrassment. "I... want to hang up some clothes. I just washed them."

Duan Xiaolin closed the door and walked next to the chair, "Give it to me."

He was a whole head taller than her, and he stepped on the chair. Pei Xiqing was slightly taller than him and lowered her eyes slightly. "Thank you."

As she spoke, she was about to pull her legs back from the windowsill, but unexpectedly, the hotel windowsill had become a little worn out by the wind and sand of the end of the world, and the points under her feet and hands were a little loose. She was so scared that she fell to the side.

She thought she was going to suffer, but unexpectedly the man put his arms around her waist and carried her down from the windowsill.

The area where Pei Xiqing was touched by him felt a little soft, and she could even clearly feel his strong physique beneath the thin clothing.

He was wearing a neatly-fitted shirt, and his muscles beneath his suit trousers were too hard to ignore.

His thin lips caressed her eyebrows lightly. His breath was as cold as pine and mixed with the smell of cigarettes. Pei Xiqing only sniffed it once, and her heart beat faster, and her body couldn't help but shrink.

Duan Xiaolin placed her on the edge of the bed, his eyelids drooping. "Anything else?"

"Just these two."

He took the hanger and casually hung it next to the cabinet above his head.

Explanation: "It's very windy tonight and the sand will be blown away in less than an hour. If you want to have clothes to wear tomorrow, don't hang them out."

“…I almost forgot about this.”

It was over, her clothes couldn't dry.

What to wear tomorrow is a serious question.

She only had these two relatively clean clothes on her body, which were not warm at all. If she went out wearing these, she would probably freeze to death on the road.

Duan Xiaolin handed her what he was holding.

Pei Xiqing took it with some doubts. Inside was a new set of clothes, a windbreaker that could keep out the wind and cold.

Black and white, it looks warm.

Her eyes flashed and she looked up at the man, "Is it for me? Where did you get it?"

"It's in the hands of another team." Duan Xiaolin loosened the button on his wrist, took off the watch, and placed it on the cabinet, saying in a distant and cold tone: "They gave it to me."

"Why would they be so naive? They don't want you to take them to the base, do they?"

The man unbuttoned his shirt. "Yes. If you want information, you have to have something in exchange."
