Chapter 213 Heading Towards the Tiger's Den

The double bed that was originally located at the rear of the vehicle has now been transformed into a spacious and bright living area, furnished with a soft and comfortable sofa and an elegant coffee table.

A spiral wooden staircase has been added between the living area and the original washroom area.

A closer look at these staircases reveals that each step resembles a drawer that can be pushed and pulled open freely. A gentle touch to the delicate wood-grained sensor panel will automatically and slowly unfold the hidden storage drawers on the side of the staircase.

The staircase turned and led to a hidden door, which was the original storage floor. Xi Xi didn't stop; she went up the stairs to the second floor of the RV.

As soon as she arrived, she saw Chu Zhiqin panting and struggling to carry several miniature planting pots.

The second floor has been transformed into a true bedroom and rest area.

The bed is ingeniously designed, taking into full account both the efficiency of space utilization and the comfort needs of the occupants.

The double bed at the rear of the vehicle is perfectly positioned, even complete with a curtain, creating a relatively private space. Meanwhile, another double bed is located above the front of the vehicle, easily accommodating four adults at the same time.

Each bed is equipped with a high-quality mattress, which is exceptionally soft and resilient.

Xi Xi meticulously cleaned and replaced the sheets, blankets, and other bedding while her mother was mining. Now all the beds are brand new, and the soft colors echo the overall color scheme of the RV interior, making it exceptionally satisfying in terms of both visual appeal and comfort.

"You've come at the perfect time! Quick! The sun is shining brightly now, it's time to let them bask in the sun!" Chu Zhiqin said as she saw Xi Xi come up, while gesturing for her daughter to lend a hand.

These miniature planting pots may look small, but they are actually quite heavy. And with the mandarin oranges nearing maturity, they require even more care and attention.

Xi Xi first opened the domed skylight in the center of the second floor. As the folding ladder descended step by step, the mother and daughter worked together, one in front and one behind, and soon all the planting pots were settled.

Xi Xi looked around the terrace. The scenery was excellent, but the furniture was not complete, making it seem a bit empty.

However, Xi Xi still felt a little flattered to be able to live in such a large RV one day.

The scale of today's RVs is even greater than the luxurious RVs of oil tycoons that I saw at the dust storm transit station before!

Xi Xi even privately thought that the interior of the car, based on the color scheme of her original beat-up car, was more harmonious and warm, and looked much more normal than those ostentatious LED lights...

As the sun rises higher, the temperature gradually increases, no longer as chilly as in the early morning.

It's great to have sunshine! The solar panels on the RV's surface came in handy again! The battery was fully charged again, and unlike in the tunnel, Chu Zhiqin no longer needed to keep an eye on the mobile charging station every now and then to replenish the power.

As Chu Zhiqin was reminiscing, she suddenly seemed to remember something while leaning on the balcony railing, and hurriedly went downstairs.

When she returned, Chu Zhiqin had a glowing stone in her hand.

Xi Xi's expression immediately lit up. She never expected that her mother would make a fortune in silence, and while collecting metal fragments, she would also unexpectedly discover the Lingchi Stone!

The molten stone emitted a warm and dazzling reddish-orange light, as if it were burning with a blazing flame.

When Xi Xi gently pinched it with her hand, she immediately felt a warm current spread throughout her body from her fingertips, completely different from the blue stone!

According to Li Jinshao, Lingchi stone can be buried in the soil to cultivate Lingchi coffee bean plants. Xi Ma certainly couldn't miss such a good opportunity!

After a while of busy work, they finally had some free time. The mother and daughter stood side by side on the spacious and bright terrace, the sunlight shining on them and outlining a warm silhouette.

A gentle breeze wafted through the mountains and forests, carrying with it a fragrant aroma. To enjoy this peaceful moment, Chu Zhiqin took out a bacon and cheese burger and golden, crispy hash browns that she had carefully packed from the inn's restaurant.

She simply heated the coffee beans on the grill plate of the pan, and then Chu Zhiqin skillfully picked up the remaining coffee beans and put them into the coffee machine to grind and brew.

Soon, the rich and mellow aroma of coffee filled the air.

She poured the brewed coffee into two cups, adding extra milk and sugar to one of them especially for her daughter, Xi Xi.

This fresh milk was carefully selected and purchased by Chu Zhiqin from the vending machine at the transfer station this morning. It has a long shelf life and is safe to drink.

Then, Xi's mother carefully placed the plate on the delicate little table in the center of the terrace.

Xi Xi sat on a cushion next to a small table, holding a warm and sweet cup of coffee in her hands, enjoying the silky smooth taste brought by the milk and sugar.

The salty and savory flavor of the bacon and the umami of the fat intertwined in her mouth, and the beef juices combined perfectly with the egg. She took a big bite of the burger and chewed it.

Potato pancakes are also one of Xi Xi's favorite Western-style snacks, with a golden and crispy outer crust and a soft and delicate interior.

The mother and daughter leisurely and quickly finished their breakfast while enjoying the delicious burgers and hash browns and admiring the view from the terrace.

The mountain road began to level out, and the view gradually opened up. As the vehicle drove out of the last bend, a vast ocean suddenly came into view.

The sea shimmered, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. A gentle sea breeze, carrying a salty and damp scent, dispelled the fatigue of the journey.

The waves crashed against the rocks, creating a deafening roar. They had indeed reached the open sea!

Just then, Xi Xi's gaze suddenly sharpened.

In the distance, a cross-sea bridge stands on the sea, like a giant dragon lying across the vast blue sea, majestic and boundless, with no end in sight.

"Are we really going to cross the sea?" Chu Zhiqin couldn't help but open her mouth wide.

I initially thought yesterday's one-way escape route was to escape the earthquake and tsunami, but it turns out it was like "knowing there are tigers in the mountains, yet still heading towards them!" And this "journey" was forced upon them...

The bridge across the sea in the distance is made of sturdy steel and concrete, standing tall and majestic.

The bridge surface is wide and flat, and you can still vaguely see a few cars speeding by in the distance.
