The sound of the rain hitting the glass was particularly irritating, like marbles being poured down.
Looking at the increasingly gloomy sky, Chu Zhiqin steeled her resolve and floored the accelerator: "This rain is even heavier than yesterday. I'm worried the car will leak if this continues..."
Another huge wave hit, and the car shook violently. Xi Xi felt her stomach churning. "Anyway, I can't sleep with it shaking so badly. How about I drive? Mom, you go check the waterproof seal."
After taking motion sickness medicine, she was already prone to drowsiness. Xi Xi was very worried about her mother's current condition. She held the steering wheel with one hand and patted Chu Zhiqin's shoulder.
In fact, Chu Zhiqin was extremely excited at this moment, her entire nervous system was pulled by tension, and she was not sleepy at all.

Without saying a word, Chu Zhiqin put down the tape and gripped the stability handle next to the car window tightly—the surging waves at the forefront of the typhoon were like moving mountains, with the waves far apart.
The moment the RV surged onto the crest of the wave, Xi Xi witnessed a scene she would never forget.
Suddenly, a cold, eerie blue light burst forth from the pitch-black sea surface. Countless pieces of algae were squeezed and washed over the windshield, outlining a whirlpool with a diameter of two kilometers.
This is nature displaying its destructive aesthetics, yet it is a terrifying memory that Xi Xi never wants to relive.
"The wind speed has increased again..." Xi Xi's voice was almost drowned out by the sound of the waves. She could only shout at the top of her lungs, "Hold on tight—! The waves are at least—four meters high!"
The lights inside the vehicle flickered, and unstable voltage caused the equipment to emit a piercing hum. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning ripped across the sky, illuminating the entire sea.
Chu Zhiqin pursed her lips, her gaze fixed on the sea ahead. She steadied herself, pulled out her Thunder Fang Mace, and fully charged the charging station. "Everything's taken care of. Let me drive now."
"Wait! We have to get around that reef area, we can't stop!" Xi Xi practically shouted, while forcefully turning the steering wheel.
The car body tilted suddenly, and items that weren't placed in the fixed cabinets inside the vehicle made a screeching sound as they slid.
Chu Zhiqin chased after them and collected the pots and pans, but just then, some hard object came crashing in with the waves and shattered a corner of the windshield with a "bang." Immediately, Xi Xi saw a long spiderweb pattern that only appears when glass breaks.
The waves suddenly surged into the cockpit, and the icy seawater seeped in through the cracks in the broken windshield, instantly submerging her ankles.
My mom was right... There's no way to put tape on the windshield while driving.
The temperature inside the car seemed to plummet to freezing point in an instant, the cold penetrating to the bone like an ice dagger, causing one to shiver involuntarily.
The sea breeze, like a ferocious beast, roared and rushed in through the broken car window, relentlessly pounding against Xi Xi.
In the blink of an eye, she was completely soaked by the icy seawater. Her wet clothes clung to her skin, but strangely, she felt no cold at all. Instead, beads of sweat began to seep from her forehead, sliding down her cheeks and mingling with the seawater on her face.
She knew very well that if she paused even slightly, the car would be mercilessly pushed by the raging winds and waves into a dangerous area full of reefs, with unimaginable consequences!
As soon as Aura touched the seawater, she was terrified, and all the hairs on her body stood on end. The little white duck, who was usually an excellent swimmer, was also helpless in the face of such surging, salty waves.
Chu Zhiqin was extremely anxious. She called out to Aura and the little white duck loudly while frantically urging them to escape upstairs.
She gripped the non-slip handrail on the car wall tightly, her knuckles turning white from the excessive force. Her face was ashen, and she secretly regretted her damned "jinx."
Time passed slowly amidst the heart-stopping events, each minute and second feeling incredibly long. Although the wind and waves continued to rage relentlessly, showing no signs of abating, thankfully, Xi Xi finally managed to steer the RV through the treacherous reef area.
Then, as if she had exhausted all her strength, she slowly stood up and gave the driver's seat to Chu Zhiqin, who was equally anxious.
The situation was not optimistic. The vehicle was filled with water, the water level was gradually rising, and the buzzing of the equipment was becoming increasingly piercing.
"What should we do? If this continues, the car definitely won't hold up..." Chu Zhiqin said anxiously, gripping the steering wheel with some reluctance.
The bridge not far away appeared exceptionally fragile under the ravages of the raging winds and waves. Its structure swayed violently with the rise and fall of the waves, emitting a series of chilling metallic twisting sounds.
