Chapter 307 Chaos

Can the painting be teleported to the location where it was last teleported?!

Xi Xi's eyes lit up instantly, and she quickly asked, "Can you teleport back now?"

“It seems like it won’t work for now…” Liu Yunyan murmured. She recalled how the mermaid baby had operated before and carefully imitated it, but the picture frame did not react as expected. “This painting must have a cooling-off period.”

Seeing this, everyone felt a pang of disappointment, but Xi Zhongcang's words quickly broke the silence.

“However, if multiple people can be teleported, wouldn’t that mean we can carry the painting along with us?” A hint of excitement flashed in Xi Zhongcang’s eyes. “That means we can use this teleportation mechanism to create nested dolls!”

Mr. Cheng nodded in agreement, indicating that it was indeed a method worth trying. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the specific meanings of the three paintings, they decided to split up and explore each painting separately.

So, the group quickly packed up the RV and started discussing what to do. They first imitated the baby mermaid to activate the second painting.

After confirming that everything was ready, they hugged the remaining painting tightly and stepped into the world of the second painting together.

After entering the second painting, Cheng Xu's family quickly set up the teleportation anchor inside Xi Xi's RV, and then activated the last painting.

And so, the three families embarked on completely different paths. Cheng Xu's family's vehicle drove through the snow-covered landscape depicted in the first painting, surrounded by a silver-white world, where the cold wind was still biting.

The Xi family is depicted amidst the lightning and thunder of the second painting. Dark clouds fill the sky, with flashes of lightning streaking across the sky every now and then, accompanied by deafening thunder, making one's heart tremble with fear.

Meanwhile, Liu Yunyan's family's vehicle was traveling on the section of road depicted in the third painting, where the sea was turbulent. Huge waves were constantly crashing against the cross-sea bridge, and the vehicle was swaying precariously on the bridge, as if it might be swept into the sea at any moment.

All three companies simultaneously opened the map on their central control screens to carefully confirm their exact locations.

Fortunately, the climates are different, but each house is not too far from the next refuge island. They are just located on different sections of different cross-sea bridges, and the driving directions are slightly different.

Liu Enxi reported to the team via communication equipment: "The wind and waves are particularly strong here, and the situation is a bit dangerous, but we can hold on!"

Cheng's father also said, "We are far from the ice field, but there are several snow-capped mountains nearby, which look quite high, so the temperature is still very low." As he spoke, he quickly took a picture and uploaded the surrounding snow-capped mountain scenery to the team's group chat.

"It's not raining here right now, but there's been constant thunder and lightning. I need to observe the situation further to find out the exact cause," Xi Xi, the team leader, said via the light screen. "Everyone, be careful and keep an eye on your surroundings. Proceed according to plan, and be prepared for any unforeseen circumstances. We'll meet again on the next island."

As soon as she disconnected the light screen, she saw her parents working together to carry the charging pole onto the roof of the car.

"This will serve as a lightning rod," Xi Zhongcang said as he carefully placed the charging post in the corner of the terrace and secured it securely.

After completing this series of actions, he didn't dare to delay for a moment and hurriedly returned to the car.

Once inside the car, Xi Zhongcang breathed a sigh of relief. He turned to look at the giant, tree-like lightning streaking across the sky outside the window, a sight that sent shivers down his spine: "Absorb more natural electricity, and free up your mom's hands while you're at it."

Since its upgrade, Xi Xi's RV has become even taller. However, at this moment, this massive RV is parked all alone by the vast sea, with no shelter around it, making it extremely vulnerable to being struck by lightning.

"Not only that, I feel that we shouldn't get out of the car for a while. What if we get struck by lightning?" Chu Zhiqin looked at the terrifying lightning and thunder outside the window, feeling increasingly uneasy. She couldn't help but say, "We finally managed to make the winter clothes, but it hasn't been long... this, this has become a lightning hotspot again!"

"Your winter coat is really useful!" Xi Xi hugged her mother from behind to comfort her. "Look at the temperature here, it's still low. We're not cold thanks to this coat!"

Hearing her daughter's words, Chu Zhiqin felt a little better. Xi's father echoed her sentiments, praising Xi's mother's blended thermal coat in an exaggerated tone. The atmosphere in the car immediately lightened, and the mother and daughter laughed heartily at his words.

However, in the next second, a dazzling bolt of lightning, like a silver serpent, ripped through the night sky, instantly illuminating the road ahead. This lightning bolt came with overwhelming force, as if it would tear the entire world apart.

Immediately afterwards, a deafening thunderclap resounded, the sound like a roar from heaven and earth, echoing through the sky and abruptly shattering the smiles of the family of three.

Since the speed of light is far greater than the speed of sound, people usually have to wait a while after witnessing lightning before they can hear thunder.

However, at this moment and place, lightning and thunder appeared almost simultaneously, indicating that the lightning was very close to his RV!

"Why is it all thunder and no rain? That's strange..." Chu Zhiqin said with some suspicion, but the next second a loud "BOOM" interrupted her words.

The sound was incredibly loud, like the sound of a cosmic explosion, blasting in the ears of the three people.

Xi Xi only felt a flash of white light before her eyes, followed by a huge roar that made her head buzz.

When she came to her senses, she was horrified to find that the lightning bolt had struck the very back of her RV.

A powerful impact came instantly, and the RV shook violently.

She frantically turned her head to look behind the car and saw that the streetlights along the cross-sea bridge had caught fire due to the lightning strike!

Xi Zhongcang quickly went to the driver's seat and took over the autopilot, moving away from the area as quickly as possible. Fortunately, there were no other flammable materials on the bridge, preventing the fire from spreading.

Xi Xi glanced out the car window and saw dark clouds rapidly gathering from all directions, completely obscuring the sky and weighing heavily on the bridge.

"The lightning is so intense, it's like daytime," Chu Zhiqin couldn't help but complain.

Upon hearing this, Xi Zhongcang, who was in the driver's seat, was startled and turned around to exchange a glance with his daughter.

The two had been on the passenger ship for far too long, at an abnormally fast pace, and were clearly completely unaware of the real time outside.

Xi Xi glanced at the time on the central control screen and exclaimed in disbelief, "It's 9:08 PM?!"

Huh? This isn't right!

Clearly, everyone was confused by the chaotic flow of time on the passenger ship and didn't realize that the photos Liu Yunyan and Cheng Xu had just sent showed scenes as bright as day!
