Chapter 368 The house was raided

The order was given in an instant. The Clinton submarine formation scattered with a roar.

The well-trained elite squads, led by their respective captains, quickly seized different positions on the battlefield, attempting to establish a crossfire network.

The captain of Team C, a lean, brooding red-haired man, piloted a high-speed assault boat and instantly broke away from the main team.

The next second, a pulse that was a deadly temptation to marine life, like an invisible whip, lashed violently across the surrounding sea!

Soon, from the dark depths of the distant trench, came dense and frantic hisses.

Countless pairs of scarlet, bloodthirsty eyes lit up in the darkness. A group of enormous, mutated sea bream with ferocious forms and protruding fangs smashed through the bubbles and seaweed along the way, charging toward Xi Xi's RV with a force that seemed to tear everything apart!

This tactic is old-fashioned, but it works and has proven effective time and again.

However, a bizarre scene unfolded—the mutated fish that seemed poised to smash the RV to pieces at any moment ignored the Xi family's RV, bypassing it entirely and heading straight for the low-rise building in the distance.

How could that be?! The captain of Team C refused to believe it and tried the same trick again.

This time, however, the mutated fish seemed to be tightly gripped by an invisible giant hand, and their momentum came to an abrupt halt in mid-air.

In the blink of an eye, as if they had rehearsed countless times, the fish changed direction in unison and, to the astonishment of the C team captain, crashed hard into the E team behind him!

Team E had no time to react when a chorus of terrified and desperate screams erupted, leaving them utterly bewildered by this inexplicable infighting.

"Damn, they have a six-piece set of mental-type equipment!"

The captain of Team D instantly became alert and subtly winked at his subordinate, who was also equipped with the same six-piece mind control set, signaling him to be on high alert in preparation for a surprise attack.

But the chaos has not yet subsided.

Just then, a dark blue line of water, like a beam of light from the River Styx tearing through the darkness, shot out from Xi Xi's RV and killed the captain of Team C instantly!

The red-haired man's face froze in horror. He maintained his previous posture, but the light in his eyes, like a blown-out candle, had dimmed forever.

Heart-wrenching wails echoed from all around, but more than anything, there were gasps of disbelief.

Serene's expression shattered instantly, leaving only incredulous horror. That deadly blue trajectory looked so familiar.

“No…impossible!” Celine’s voice was dry and hoarse, trembling uncontrollably. “How…how could they possibly have our latest water-balloon shells?!”

The tutorial diagram on how to blend water cannon shells with a diving suit was clearly only circulated among a few team leaders, and was ultimately kept by Team H's captain, Giskai. He's a long-time member of Clinton's organization, so there's no reason for him to betray it!

Serene seemed to suddenly remember something, and her expression immediately hardened.

At that moment, Roscoe Clinton glanced sideways at Celine, and a chilling coldness instantly gripped her heart.

Has Clinton's top-secret manuscript been leaked?

The team members weren't stupid; seeing this, their morale plummeted instantly, like being doused with ice water, silencing the entire Clinton team for half a second.

Most of the surviving low-level laborers were terrified, and their survival instinct overwhelmed everything, causing the scene to descend into chaos.

Meanwhile, on the other side, F-team captain Sal hovered outside the open conning tower of his submarine. He had been observing the chaos with a cold eye, his face full of disdain and mockery.

He never thought much of the Water Crossbow Project, and Serene further isolated him from it because of personal grudges.

Looking at the RV in the distance, which was appearing and disappearing mysteriously amidst the barrage of fire and occasionally grazed by stray water crossbow bolts, a hint of greed and arrogance flashed in the man's eyes.

"A bunch of spineless cowards! They were scared out of their wits by a sneak attack of light!" He spat fiercely, his gaze burning as he looked ahead.

"Mr. Clinton, you think too highly of this woman! Watch me! I'll let her taste the flavor of 'sand erosion'! One blow and I'll chew her and her glass capsule into sand!"

Sal was extremely arrogant, his arm muscles were bulging, and his face was ferocious but smiling, as if he could already hear Xi Xi's brittle groans under the sandstorm.

However, his movements froze.

An arm, suspended in mid-air.

The energy vortex in his palm lost its usual intense heat and remained stiffly in place.

The arrogance on Sal's face froze instantly, like a cheap plaster mask crumbling inch by inch, leaving only astonishment and stiffness.

His eyes were so wide they almost popped out of their sockets as he stared intently at his own arm, which remained completely still.

The familiar feeling of power in my hand... has vanished? Only a strange, suffocating... emptiness remains?

“Huh?” He squeezed out a short, strange syllable from his throat, full of absurdity.

What happened? The six-piece "Cultural Heritage" set is malfunctioning?! Sweat instantly soaked through his heavy diving suit.

He flailed his arm frantically, his face contorted with rage and disbelief, forming a grotesque mask.

Just then—

"Damn it! My 'Burning Stream' isn't producing a single spark!"

"My 'Frozen Ice'! It's not responding either???"

"What happened? My 'Shield Wall' has failed too! My power... my power has been drained?!"

"It's failed! The supernatural power added to my six-piece set has disappeared!"

The screams of terror, the chaotic questioning, and the desperate roars of panic instantly erupted within Clinton's organization.

“A cultural relic! One of my cultural relics is missing!” An angry voice tore through the chaotic noise. “It was in my inside pocket! It’s gone! It was just here a moment ago!”

This sentence was like a fuse that ignited a chain reaction!

The cacophony of terrified screams instantly coalesced into a torrent of despair.

Every voice points to the same horrifying truth—one of the six pieces of their cultural heritage has vanished into thin air!

A brief, deathly silence enveloped Clinton. Everyone was processing the news in a state of immense fear.

Suddenly, a sharp voice, piercing with realization, tore through the deathly silence. It was the captain of Team I, a Latino renowned for his intelligence analysis: "Damn it! There's a traitor! It must be one of those bastards from Team W who weren't quite dead! They've infiltrated X11!!!"

His voice trembled with extreme anger and fear: "Just now! When the boss was talking to that woman! While everyone's attention was on that, that traitor must have..."

"That traitor must have sneaked into our submarine! Stealing right under our noses!"

"Bullshit!" another captain roared, his voice hoarse with rage. "My crystals were hidden in a triple-layered, temperature-controlled compartment! And covered by two layers of pressure-resistant suits! Is that traitor a ghost? How could he possibly steal everyone's crystals so quickly and without anyone noticing?!"

If someone were to infiltrate the organization, the alarm would certainly sound, unless they possessed an invisibility talisman and the ability to evade the surveillance system!
