Chapter 120 The Melee in Front of the City Lord's Mansion

"Retreat to the city lord's mansion!"

At the general's command, the remaining orcs divided their tasks clearly: some deployed shields to cover the others as they entered the city lord's mansion.

The rain of arrows gradually subsided, and the two sides seemed to be entering a stalemate.

"You bunch of tribal scum, consider this a little interest payment for the fallen warriors of Saibanda!"

A general in armor stepped out from the crowd opposite; it was none other than Captain Zoro.

He held a long sword in his right hand, and the rage in his eyes seemed uncontrollable; he was about to burn all the orcs in the city lord's mansion to ashes.

"It was you! You cunning Alliance dog!"

The orc general appeared at the entrance of the city lord's mansion, glaring fiercely at Captain Sauron across several rows of orc soldiers who were already in defensive positions.

"The neutrality agreement for Sandstone City was signed by your tribe and us together. Is this the honor you've always been so proud of?"

"That makes sense, though. If they can tear up a ceasefire agreement with the alliance, then this agreement is just another piece of waste paper!"

"Commander Zoro said sarcastically."

"Hmph, I let you escape from Saibanda back then, now it's the perfect time to kill you!"

The orc general looked disdainful.

"If you have the ability, come and take it. Let's see who comes out on top this time."

Captain Zoro was not willing to be outdone.

A captain then walked up to Captain Zoro and awaited his orders.

Captain Zoro simply nodded slightly, and the captain immediately understood.

Suddenly, a fire broke out in the ranks behind Captain Zoro, illuminating the entire group.

The archers lit their arrows, which were bound with glycerin, with torches and aimed them at the city lord's mansion.

A hint of fear flashed across the faces of the orcs still guarding the gate, and then hundreds of rockets were shot into the city lord's mansion.

The orcs inside were thrown into chaos. Unfamiliar with the area, many of them ran around like headless flies. Some tried to find a well to control the growing fire, while others tried to find a safe place to stay. But all their efforts were in vain due to their unfamiliarity with the area.

The rain of arrows outside only paused for a moment before hundreds more rockets were fired in.

The orc general was furious; he hadn't expected that hiding in the city lord's mansion would turn him into a sitting duck.

"For the tribe!"

He suddenly roared, raised the giant axe in his hand high, and shouted.

The previously panicked orc army immediately fell silent, and even those still being scorched by the flames did not utter a sound.

"For the tribe!"

Then the orcs raised their giant axes in unison, their honor making them forget the pain.

The orc general led the charge out of the mansion, followed closely by orcs wielding shields, and the army became orderly once again.

"Stop them! Don't let them get away! Avenge our brothers who died in Saibanda!"

Seeing the orcs trying to break out of the encirclement, General Sauron immediately went to meet them, with a captain beside him providing support.

Because the orcs were unable to form a battle formation for the time being, the orcs inside the manor were unable to come out for a while, putting them at a temporary disadvantage.

The orc general glared at General Sauron, then wielded his giant axe, felling two human soldiers who came towards him, and walked toward General Sauron.

Captain Sauron also noticed the orc general's gaze. He cleaved the orc in two with his longsword and walked towards him as well.

"Bang!"

A loud bang suddenly came from the right, and both sides in the battle looked in that direction at the same time.

The orc general looked smug, while General Sauron frowned.

Suddenly, another orc army appeared on the right, numbering around 500, and in front of them was a giant cannon still emitting blue smoke.

These orcs even brought heavy weapons into the city; they seem to be quite well-prepared.

Captain Sauron simply gave a look to the captain beside him and continued to fight the orc general with his sword. The captain then waved to the rear, and a small squad followed him as they charged toward the orc army that had just appeared on the right.

"Bang!"

Another loud bang was heard, and many of the human troops gathered at the rear were hit by bullets.

"Lord City Lord, shall we go out?"

In an alley less than a hundred meters from the city lord's mansion, a figure approached Shariel and asked.

"No rush, let them fight a little longer. I don't want too many of you to die!"

After the city lord, Saril, spoke, the figure retreated again and remained silent.

This is Lord Saril, who had been lying in ambush in the alley. Although he had made an agreement with Sauron that he would help him as soon as possible after Sauron launched his attack, he chose to sit back and watch the fight when Sauron actually started fighting the orcs.

After the two cannon shots rang out, Saril felt more and more that he had made a wise decision.

The captain and his men who had rushed to the right had also suffered heavy casualties. Their side, which had initially held the advantage, was now at a disadvantage. Moreover, the orcs possessed weapons like giant cannons, which they simply could not contend with. However, if they did not destroy the giant cannons, then it was likely that none of the thousand men led by Captain Sauron would be able to leave Sandstone City alive.

"You bastard, that Shariel went back on his word and hasn't even made a move yet!"

Enraged, the company commander killed the orc closest to him, but was then blocked by two more orcs who came up to him, making it impossible for him to move forward.

"You lead the team to help, but we can't let these Alliance members really die, or we'll be at a disadvantage!"

Seeing that the Alliance soldiers were unable to subdue the orc that suddenly appeared on the right, Shariel, who was in the alley, spoke to a figure behind him.

"yes!"

The man then led over a thousand people who had been hiding in the alley and rushed out.

"Kill them! Drive these orcs out of Sandstone City!"

This figure took the lead, and the soldiers behind him were inspired by his actions, shouting as they charged out.

"Reinforcements have arrived! Kill them!"

Seeing that Sarriel's army had finally made a move, the company commander on the right regained his spirits and began to fight again.

The orc general and Captain Sauron, who were engaged in battle, also saw what was happening. The orc general's eyes became somewhat worried, while Captain Sauron, on the contrary, became smug.

"Bang!"

The cannon was destroyed by soldiers who had rushed to the front after firing the shell. The barrel rolled directly to the ground, but it was still hot.

The orcs, who already numbered less than 500, were quickly forced into retreat by the attack of the city's garrison that had joined them later. The battle in front of the city lord's mansion also felt increasingly intense.

"Lan, if we don't act now, the chief's plan will be ruined!"

The orc general suddenly shouted sharply at the shadows in the night.

"stop!"

That's Shariel's voice.

His figure emerged from a hidden alley not far away, but a dagger gleaming coldly was already at his neck. Even though he was wearing armor, the dagger could take his life at any moment.
