"Lord Leggins asked me to go out and check on the situation for him!"
The doorman had no idea that Lykins was dead. When he heard that Joey was acting on Lykins' orders, he didn't think much of it and opened the door directly.
Joey slipped out, and the doorman closed the door again.
Now that Leggins was dead, Joey realized that the Draenei matter was no longer urgent. He was now genuinely interested in assessing the situation so he could place his bets on which side and maximize his own profits.

But he had only run a short distance when he was stopped by several figures that suddenly appeared in front of him.
"And who are you?"
Joey held the longsword in his hand, but in the dim light, neither of them could see each other's faces clearly.
"Joey Brown?"
Suddenly, someone in the crowd ahead called out Joey's name.
"You are..."
"What? Didn't you recognize our voices, guys?"
Once the figures realized that the person in front of them was Joey, they relaxed their guard and ran over. It turned out to be the guards at the city gate.

The older guard sized up Joey.
"You're out for a walk so late?"

The guards didn't treat Joey like an outsider; they had become quite familiar with each other over the past six months, so they told her what had happened that night.
