Joey dashed forward, caught the digger that was thrown at him, and then rolled over to dissipate the force.
"Wawa, go wait for me over there!"
After Joey finished speaking, he put the digger down and gripped the Shark Bow behind him again.
"Dig! Dig!"
WaWa responded to Joey and ran off in another direction, showing that she still had some awareness of the need to avoid danger.
"Alright, now it's just the two of us!"
Joyra nocked an arrow and fired it at the earth elemental in front of her.
clang!
With a crisp sound, the arrow, as usual, failed to penetrate the earth elemental's skin and fell directly to the ground.
"As expected, ordinary attacks can't hurt you with this thing!"
"But you're in luck! I've run out of ordinary arrows, so you're fortunate to have these great treasures on you!"
Joey calmly took an explosive arrow from another quiver and shot it at the earth elemental's head.
"Bang!"
The explosive arrow detonated the moment it touched the earth elemental's head, much like a small nuclear bomb, creating a mushroom cloud above its head.
Indeed, explosions are art; they're so beautiful!
Joey couldn't help but sigh inwardly; these arrows were indeed expensive for a reason, and their use was truly exceptional.
However, it seems the damage wasn't as great as Joey had expected.
The earth elemental swayed slightly, almost falling, but fortunately it regained its footing and didn't actually fall.
"roar!"
Enraged by the explosive arrow, the earth elemental roared and grabbed a handful of dirt, hurling it at Joey, but Joey easily dodged it.
"If this keeps up, I might not even have enough arrows!"
Joey was a little worried. Although the explosion was artistic, its destructive power was clearly insufficient, which put him in a difficult position.
At this point, his gaze once again swept over the earth elemental, trying to find its weakness.
The crystalline ore at the back of the earth elemental's head caught his attention again.
With a try-it-out attitude, Joey drew his bow again and shot at the ore.
"Bang!"
Sparks flew everywhere.
At the same time, a lot of rubble fell from the earth elemental's head, and the earth elemental let out a wail and fell to the ground.
It was clearly in some pain, struggling to get up again.
Joey always adhered to the principle of striking while the iron is hot. Seeing that the earth elemental's weakness was the crystal mineral behind its head, and that it had already fallen to the ground, he excitedly charged straight at the earth elemental.
He sheathed his longbow, drew his steel sword from his waist, and as he approached the earth elemental, leaped high into the air, jumped onto its body, and quickened his pace toward the crystal ore.
Melee Hunter is now available.
The earth elemental sensed the danger and began to sway, trying to shake Joey off.
Joey steadied himself and continued to approach.
"Clang clang clang..."
Joey wielded his steel sword swiftly, each strike landing squarely on the crystalline ore.
Gravel tumbled down, and the earth elemental stood up, reaching out with both hands to grab Joey.
Joey didn't linger in the fight and immediately flipped off the earth elemental.
The moment his feet touched the ground, the earth elemental shifted its massive body, attempting to crush Joey with its heavy feet.
Without hesitation, Joey took off running. Close combat was not a wise decision; he needed to keep his distance.
The earth elemental was somewhat exasperated. Although its legs seemed heavy, it was moving very fast and was about to catch up with Joey.
"So he's a nimble fat guy, I didn't expect that!"
Joey was now thinking that it would be nice if the earth elemental could move a little slower.
"Got it!"
Suddenly, Joey had a flash of inspiration and remembered that he still had some Frost Arrows he had bought in his quiver.
He quickly took it out and aimed at the crystallized ore behind the earth elemental's head again.
"bite!"
With a crisp sound, a layer of white frost enveloped the earth elemental's body, forming its core.
Just as Joey had predicted, the earth element slowed down dramatically, resembling a slideshow after a freeze.
Taking advantage of the moment, Joey immediately created distance, drew another explosive arrow, and shot it at the crystal ore.
"Bang!"
The firelight returned, and the frost enveloping the earth element dissipated. Although it regained its previous speed, the explosive arrow had seriously injured it, causing it to sway its body again before collapsing to the ground.
The melee hunter raised his steel sword again and charged forward.
"Clang clang clang..."
The hand wielding the steel sword stopped, and Joey flipped and jumped down again.
The Frostbolt was ready, slowing down the Earth Elemental once again.
...
"boom--"
After several such cycles, the earth elemental finally gave out and collapsed, the crystalline ore rolling to Joey's feet.
However, just as Joey was about to reach out and pick up the ore to examine it, the crystallized ore turned into a white light and directly entered the shark bow in his hand. The shark shapes at both ends seemed to come alive, and their originally tightly closed mouths suddenly opened, revealing their terrifying sharp teeth.
"Huh? The Sea Shark Bow needs to absorb this thing?"
Joey had some doubts, but she didn't think much of it and simply gathered up the other scattered ores and put them into her waist pouch.
This is probably the kite-flying strategy from the original game. Although it seems unfair, it's incredibly fun. The enemy can only watch helplessly, unable to harm you in the slightest.
Seeing that the earth elemental had been defeated by Joey, Digger, who had been standing to the side, ran over again.
Joey thought he was coming to congratulate him, but when Digger approached, he actually walked right past him and ran to the pit where the earth elemental had crawled out. The pit was quite deep by then, but Digger jumped in without hesitation.
Joey didn't think that Wawa was going to play in the mud in the pit, so he followed her.
