As Puff watched Eileen walk toward the two of them, he immediately put aside his earlier argument with Joey and put on a warm face.
"Captain Eileen!"
The guards in the passage also bowed to Eileen.
Eileen nodded in response to the guard, but her gaze toward Puff was not so friendly.
"If I don't come soon, how long are you planning to keep making a scene?"
Eileen's tone clearly betrayed her anger.
“We weren’t arguing. Joey Brown is a captain now. I just hadn’t seen him in a while, so I wanted to chat with him!”
Puff explained with a sheepish grin, his words even sounding like he was trying to please Eileen.
"Don't believe me? You can ask these two guards!"
Seeing Eileen's suspicious expression, Puff immediately turned to look at the two guards.
"Oh, yes, yes, Captain Pouf is right, they were just chatting!"
The guards naturally understood what Puff meant, and someone else helped to explain.
Eileen still frowned, but after a moment, she turned her head and looked at Joey, who seemed to be watching the commotion.
As Eileen's gaze fell on Joey, Pouf also looked at Joey with a tense expression.

"Why? Why doesn't she want to see me?"

Puff looked smug; it seemed he was quite proud to be able to pick up Field Marshal Kapp.
The guards here were all handpicked, all trusted confidants of the city lord, and they had all seen Marshal Garp in person.
As expected, the Joker only has one person, Joey!
"So what do you want with Field Marshal Garp?"
Eileen didn't mock Joey; instead, she asked him why.

Eileen glanced at Puff, who looked back at her with a puzzled expression.
"Then come with me quickly!"
Eileen waved to Joey, then quickly walked inside, looking even more anxious than Joey.
Although Joey was a little puzzled, he immediately followed. With Eileen leading the way, he passed through the passage without any hindrance this time.
Puff, who remained where he was, no longer had the same expression he had when arguing with Joey; his expression had become serious.
Marshal Garp came to Ashforge for one purpose only: to protect Catherine. Both he and Eileen knew this, and his initiative to summon Joey must have been closely related to protecting Catherine.
On this matter, Puff will not slack off, nor will he question it.
