"Who are you? Why are you binding this great traveler?"
It was Vivian who came out of the room.
As soon as she came out, she saw Joey with his hands tied and immediately questioned him angrily.
"He insulted Lady Catherine; he must be severely punished!"
The soldier standing behind Joey said this with a straight face.
"Catherine? Is she back?"
Vivian turned to look behind the group but didn't see Catherine.
She's not here!
After confirming that Catherine was not there, she became even more agitated.
"It was this great traveler who brought Catherine here, is this how you treat someone who rescued Catherine?"
"As far as I know, this traveler risked a great deal to bring Catherine here, and even if he did say something bad about Catherine, she wouldn't hold it against him if she were here!"
Vivian was indignant. She had witnessed Catherine and Joey bickering before, but she felt that it was definitely not a real verbal attack, but more like flirting between a husband and wife.
"this……"
The soldier was speechless after being rebuked and looked to Captain Zoro for help.
"Ahem, madam, I think you don't understand what happened. This traveler offended Lady Catherine, the daughter of the Lord of Ashfurnace City. She is no ordinary person, and she has already left Saibanda, so her words cannot be verified!"
Captain Zoro was quite polite to the young mother holding her child and did not hold a grudge against her because of what happened to Joey.
"And who are you?"
Vivian sized up the middle-aged man who had suddenly spoken, and suddenly felt that his appearance was somewhat familiar, but the long scar somewhat ruined his overall appearance.
"I am Sauron, Sauron Derian, Grand Master of the Second Knights of Sebanda!"
Zoro's voice has a certain authority, which is perhaps what makes him a leader.
"The commander of the Second Knights?"
Vivian was taken aback; this familiar address had reached her ears again after more than a year.
She became emotional, and tears began to well up in her eyes. She felt that she was now very close to her former lover.
"Madam, what's wrong?"
Captain Zoro noticed Vivian's unusual behavior and, out of concern for the lady, stepped forward to ask her a question.
"Is Goodman here? I really want to see him!"
Vivian's tone was pleading, completely unlike the person who had just been arguing for Joey.
However, when Captain Zoro heard Goodman's name, his expression immediately changed drastically.
"How do you know my son? Who are you?"
He moved closer to Vivian, disregarding the differences between men and women at this moment, and asked Vivian in an almost coercive tone.
"My name is Vivian..."
Vivian truthfully told Captain Zoro how she met Goodman, since Goodman was his father and he had the right to know.
"But I no longer hate him. Now I just want to see him again!"
Vivian didn't seem frightened by Captain Zoro's questioning; instead, she became even more excited, her desire to see Goodman was overwhelming.
"Waaaaah..."
As if sensing her mother's feelings, the child in Vivian's arms also burst into tears.
Vivian could only gently rock her body and pat the baby's back, trying to soothe him.
"Is this Goodman and your child?"
After hearing Vivian's words, Captain Zoro's eyes suddenly lit up. He stared eagerly at the baby in Vivian's arms. He did not doubt Vivian's words. On the contrary, he had already decided in his heart that the baby girl was Goodman's child.
It was a girl. Her rosy cheeks gradually calmed down under Vivian's comforting words. She opened her eyes wide and looked around, as if searching for someone who had just upset her mother.
"Yes, I just want her to meet her father. I don't want her to have this regret in her life, like I did!"
Vivian was trying her best to suppress her emotions so that the baby in her arms would not cry again because of her.
But her body still couldn't help trembling; it was an instinct she couldn't control.
Can I hug her?
Instead of answering Vivian's question about Goodman, Captain Zoro changed the subject and suggested that he wanted to hold the baby girl in her arms.
"Of course you can, after all, you are her grandfather!"
Vivian didn't dwell on where Goodman was; instead, she agreed to Captain Zoro's request and handed the baby in her arms to him.
“Oh, my little darling, I am your grandfather, Sauron Derian!”
Captain Zoro carefully took the baby girl, and the seriousness and authority of a captain on his face vanished in an instant, replaced by the kind face of a grandfather.
He gently played with the baby girl in his arms, already treating her as his own granddaughter.
"Look at your nose and ears, they're exactly like Goodman's!"
Zoro, the captain, rarely showed a smile, which warmed up the whole atmosphere.
“Eee-yah-yah…”
The baby girl seemed to want to say something to her grandfather, muttering words that adults couldn't understand, while her hands and feet moved excitedly.
"Haha, she's such a good granddaughter!"
Captain Zoro grew increasingly fond of the baby girl in his arms, and his smile never faded.
"Could you untie me first?"
Seeing the heartwarming scene before him, Joey, who was tied up, temporarily put aside his anger towards Catherine and calmed down.
