Chapter 7 Run Fast

The dwarf woman was indeed moved by Joey's words. If it weren't for the deafening shouts of killing outside the shed, she would have offered herself to him right then and there.

However, Joey had no time to waste. After saying those words to the dwarf woman, he grabbed a pickaxe from the doorway and rushed out.

"Fuck you, get out of here, I'm going to find Joey!"

"Gurgle, gurgle, whoosh, whoosh..."

Joey didn't linger in the fight and ran straight towards the bearded man. As he got closer, he heard the bearded man cursing the orc's grandfather, while the orc shouted a few words in his orc language, also cursing the bearded man's family.

"Gurgle, gurgle, whoosh, whoosh..."

Joey suddenly spoke to the orc in the same orcish language as him, though somewhat awkwardly, but the meaning should have been conveyed.

The orc turned around, his anger fully amplified, and was about to bring down his axe.

"puff!"

A section of the pickaxe pierced through the orc's chest and appeared in front of Joey. The orc looked down at the blood-stained pickaxe, his face filled with disbelief.

"Bang—"

The orc collapsed to the ground.

"Joey, you're here? I thought these orcs were invincible."

The bearded man stepped on the orc's back with his left foot, forcefully pulled the iron pickaxe off his back, and said happily.

"Don't be too happy yet, let's talk about it after we're out of trouble!"

Joey immediately stood beside the bearded man, warily looking around. At that moment, two more orcs came down from the wooden bridge. Seeing an orc corpse lying in front of Joey and the bearded man, they immediately shouted and rushed over.

"Joey, what are they shouting? I think I just heard you speak Orcish too!"

The bearded man stood in front of Joey, holding the pickaxe in front of him as a shield.

"What else can I say? They just hurled insults at our entire family!"

"Hey bearded guy, remember that snap closure?"

Joey stood behind the bearded man, and apart from his head, which couldn't be protected by the bearded man, the rest of his body was completely blocked.

He stared intently at the orc charging towards him, and whispered a reminder to the bearded man.

"You mean..."

"Yes, that's exactly what I meant!"

"Okay, I'll go right away!"

Go ahead, but be careful!

"What about you? What will you do if I leave?"

"Don't worry, I've been reviewing some Shaw Brothers classics in my mind while I'm reading. These bastards won't kill me so easily!"

"Shaw Brothers classics?"

"Oh dear, don't worry about the details, just go!"

Joey shoved the bearded man hard, tightened his grip on the pickaxe, and stood ready for battle.

"Run! Run! Run!"

The bearded man muttered to himself as he rushed toward the river.
