Chapter 194 We're Getting Married
Yin Hu shifted his gaze from the child back to Yue Qing's face.
That probing gaze was deeper and more oppressive than ever before, as if trying to pierce through her skin and see the structure of her soul.
Yueqing met his gaze without flinching.
She calmly stood up, wrapped the children in animal skins, and placed them in a relatively warm corner.
Then, she walked over to the small stone slab and looked at the dark green medicinal liquid that had begun to dry on it.
Soul-Gathering Grass.
To help him regain his memories.
At this moment, this thought suddenly seemed somewhat out of place.
She paused for a moment, then made a decision.
She picked up the stone shard and walked up to Silver Tiger.
Under his wary gaze, she did not try to feed him the medicine. Instead, she walked to his side and carefully applied the medicine to a wound on his back that had not yet fully healed.
That was an old wound torn open by wolf claws during last night's battle.
The cool medicinal liquid touched his skin, and Silver Tiger's muscles tensed instantly, but he did not dodge.
Yueqing's voice was very soft, as if she were stating something perfectly ordinary.
"This is medicine; it's good for the wound."
She didn't say that this could help her regain her memories.
She simply told him in the most direct way that she wanted to heal his wounds.
Silver Tiger lowered his eyes, his expression unreadable. He neither responded nor refused.
The sunlight outside the cave grew brighter and brighter.
The bloodshed and slaughter of the night seemed to have been washed away by the newborn sunlight.
Silver Tiger suddenly stood up.
His tall figure once again blocked the light from the cave entrance.
He turned back and looked at the mother and her two children huddled together deep in the cave. Then, without a word, he stepped into the morning light.
He was going to inspect his territory.
A king whose past has been forgotten, yet who cannot escape his instincts, must ascertain whether his sanctuary is safe.
He was gone for a long time, so long that Yueqing thought he would never come back.
The sunlight outside the cave grew stronger, dispelling the shadows at the cave entrance.
After feeding the two children, Yueqing found some wild fruits for herself to eat.
She sat quietly by the fire, hugging her knees, waiting.
After an unknown amount of time, the light at the cave entrance was blocked by a tall figure.
Silver Tiger is back.
There was no fresh smell of blood on him, but he was holding a wild rabbit whose neck had been neatly snapped.
He casually tossed his prey at the entrance of the cave, then scanned the cave floor to make sure the mother and child were safe.
Then, he walked up to Yueqing and reached out his hand to her.
It's not a tiger's claw, but a hand with distinct joints that has been restored to a human form.
Yueqing was slightly taken aback and looked up at him.
His eyes still held a questioning blankness, but his movements carried an undeniable sense of command.
Yueqing didn't ask where they were going.
She knew that even if she asked, he wouldn't answer.
She stood up, hugged her daughter, and then took her son, who had just woken up, and placed his small hand into the large hand that Silver Tiger had extended.
Silver Tiger's body stiffened for a moment again.
He looked down at the soft, harmless little hand, completely enveloped in his broad palm. That warm, delicate touch, like a faint current, traveled down his arm and into his chaotic sensory center.
He didn't shake him off.
He simply tightened his grip on the small hand, then turned and stepped out of the cave.
This was a silent journey.
Silver Tiger walked at the front, his tall body shielding the large and two small animals behind him from most of the thorns and rocks in the forest.
Yueqing, holding her daughter, followed behind him, her gaze complex as she watched him lead his son by the hand.
One large and one small, one silent as a mountain, the other innocent and ignorant, yet they were connected in the most primal way.
They walked for a long time.
Until we passed through a dense jungle, the view suddenly opened up before us.
A huge tribe, built on the mountainside, appeared before them.
The wooden and stone houses are scattered in a well-organized manner, and tiger warriors patrol the tall fences.
Tiger Clan Territory.
Upon seeing Yin Hu, the sentries on the fence tensed up warily at first, but when they saw Yue Qing and the two children following behind him, their wariness quietly turned into a scrutiny mixed with astonishment and curiosity.
Silver Tiger ignored everyone's gaze.
He led the child and walked straight into the village gate.
Along the way, every member of the Tiger Clan who saw him subconsciously stopped what they were doing, stood at a distance, and pointed at them.
The fear still exists, but it is no longer the kind of dread that we used to avoid at all costs.
Their gazes were mostly fixed on Yueqing and the two children.
Silver Tiger walked all the way to the very center of the tribe, to the tallest stone house.
Tiger Clan Chief, Tiger Peak, stood in front of the door, looking at him with a complex expression.
“Silver Tiger.” Tiger Peak’s voice was deep, with a hint of barely perceptible probing.
Silver Tiger did not answer.
He released the child's hand, stepped forward, and threw the wild rabbit he had brought back from the forest at the foot of Tiger Peak.
Tiger Peak's pupils suddenly contracted.
Then, Yin Hu turned around and walked back to Yue Qing's side.
Under the astonished and uncertain gazes of all the clansmen, in front of the clan chief, he used the same hand that had just been holding the child to put his arm around Yueqing's waist.
His movements were somewhat awkward and stiff, yet they were filled with an undeniable sense of possession.
Yueqing's body stiffened, and she instinctively hugged her daughter tightly.
"She is my female."
Silver Tiger spoke, his voice hoarse yet clearly carrying throughout the small square. Each word was like a stone thrown into still water.
He paused, his gaze sweeping over his two children.
"They are my cubs."
The square was deathly silent.
Everyone was stunned by his blunt and almost barbaric declaration.
Hu Feng frowned deeply. He looked at Yin Hu, then at the unfamiliar female in his arms, whose face was calm and whose emotions were unreadable.
Then, Silver Tiger dropped the last boulder.
"We want to get married."
No sooner had the words left her lips than a sharp and angry female voice suddenly erupted from behind the crowd.
"no!"
The crowd automatically parted to make way for each other.
A tall, agile female tiger warrior, clad in red leather armor, strode out.
She had long, fiery red hair and a beautiful face, but her eyes were like knives, piercing Yueqing's heart.
It is a red cloud.
She rushed to Silver Tiger in two strides, her eyes filled with unbelievable pain and anger.
"Silver Tiger! You've lost your memory! You have no idea what you're saying!"
She pointed at Yueqing, her voice trembling with jealousy, "What right does this weak female of unknown origin have!"
"We tigers are forbidden from intermarrying with females from other tribes!"
