A vast frozen lake came into view.
The lake water had an eerie, dark blue hue, with a thin mist floating on its surface. In the center of the lake, a white jade altar stood silently, with a fist-sized crystal ball suspended atop it, containing a drop of golden liquid.

Suddenly, countless golden lights appeared on the lakeside.
The light condensed into human figures, and a dozen or so figures dressed in white robes appeared out of thin air.

The old man's voice was aged yet full of authority.

Tiger Peak's muscles tensed, and the fur on his body almost stood on end. He stood like a wall in front of him, and a beastly growl escaped his throat.
"Dragon Priest?"
These four words seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth.
The elderly man at the head of the group seemed not to hear him, and didn't even glance at him.
Those cloudy old eyes looked past everyone, like two nails, fixed firmly on the child in Yueqing's arms.
His gaze was greedy and fanatical, and a near-manic flush appeared on his withered face.
"The chosen one... has finally been found."
The old man's voice was hoarse, like two pieces of sandpaper rubbing together, and every word carried the decaying scent of a thousand years.
