Chapter 263 Short Love

In the evening, after Eros got off work and went home, bald Kevin and brown-haired Henry, who were on the night shift, arrived at the office on time.

As soon as the two sat down at the table, Kevin saw the matches placed casually on the table out of the corner of his eye.

Perhaps his recent experiences were too bad, so he suddenly felt like smoking the moment he saw the matchbox.

He raised his head and fixed his eyes on Daisy, who was lying in the corner and had not left yet.

"Whose box of matches is this?"

Daisy didn't even raise her eyelids, and said lazily, "I don't know, maybe it's Peter's!"

After hearing that it might be Peter's, Kevin took out an iron cigarette box from his pocket.

"If you want to smoke, go out and smoke!" Daisy glanced at Kevin with a somewhat unfriendly tone.

"I know!"

Kevin replied casually, then took out two cigarettes from the iron cigarette box.

After handing one of the cigarettes to Henry across from him, he picked up the matches on the table and went outside the office to start smoking.

After a while, Henry also came out. Kevin glanced at him and threw the matchbox in his hand over to him.

After Henry took it, he leaned against the wall and started smoking.

As the cigarette was about to burn out, Kevin turned his head to look at Henry beside him and said in a deep voice:

"What do you think? Do you want to change streets with me?"

Henry glanced at Kevin next to him and said in a calm voice:

"I don't quite understand why you've been so averse to that street lately!"

Speaking of that street, Kevin's face twitched, and then he said expressionlessly:

"Nothing, I just feel a little tired of patrolling the same street all the time, so I want to switch with you."

"How about it? Change it? You've been thinking about such a simple request for several days."

Henry rolled the cigarette butt in his hand against the wall behind him and said in a tone that made it impossible to hear any emotion:

"No! I like my neighborhood."

Kevin's face twitched and he said nothing. He just silently lit his second cigarette.

Henry glanced at him, threw the extinguished cigarette butt in his hand into the trash can beside him, and turned back to the office.

Kevin was sitting outside alone, smoking one cigarette after another, with a melancholy look in his eyes and a bleak temperament.

He still couldn't understand why someone would throw that thing around.

Don't they consider the feelings of the people who happen to be passing by? Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting!

After finishing the pack of cigarettes, Kevin stood up and shouted to the office:

"I'm going on patrol!"

Although he was reluctant, he still had to do his job seriously. After a long sigh, Kevin walked out of the police station.

After spending several hours patrolling other parts of the block he was responsible for, Kevin once again came to the street that he hated.

Just as he was thinking about completing the inspection quickly, sudden movement in front caught his attention.

Kevin frowned and sneaked over quietly. Then he saw a topless woman leaning out of the third-floor window of the building in front of him.

The faint light of the silver moon in the sky illuminated the woman's porcelain-white skin, and also illuminated the man behind her.

Kevin: “…”

He was a little disappointed, as he thought there would be some unusual discovery.

Since this matter was not his responsibility, Kevin ignored it and just walked on the other side of the street to avoid being affected again.

Since he was not maintaining stealth, the couple on the third floor could see him.

"Someone is coming..." the woman said in a low voice.

"Don't worry about him, he doesn't know you anyway." The man said, breathing heavily.

When the woman thought about it, it seemed to be right, so she became even more unscrupulous.

After hearing the whispered conversation coming from upstairs, Kevin's mouth twitched, he quickened his pace, and soon he left the street.

Just a few seconds after he left, the man on the third floor suddenly growled and hugged the woman in front of him.

After a while, the man said with a somewhat ashamed tone:

"Lina! Am I so useless?"

The woman named Lina smiled faintly and said in a soft and comforting tone:

"My husband is far inferior to you!"

Hearing this, the man's face showed confidence again. Seeing the man regain his confidence, the woman named Lina gently pushed the man's chest and smiled softly:

"You should go back, otherwise your wife might get angry."

The man showed reluctance on his face. He hugged the woman in front of him and said:

"I really want to be with you forever!"

Lina leaned against the man's chest, speaking in a gentle and charming tone:

"Me too, Korol, why don't you divorce your wife, and then I'll divorce my husband, so we can always be together."

Hearing the woman in front of him talking about this, the man named Korol's face flashed with embarrassment, and he changed the subject:

"Well, it's really getting late. I should go."

So the man quickly put on his clothes, opened the door and left. The woman named Lina looked at the man's back with resentment, and only after his back completely disappeared from the end of her sight did she slowly withdrew her gaze.

The woman put on a nightgown and sat down by the window. After a while, a man's head suddenly popped out from the window.

The man looked at Lina, who was sitting by the window in only a nightgown, with fiery eyes. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and he spoke with deep affection:
