The family members were a little surprised to see Peter coming, but they ignored him and continued to curse those damn tomb robbers.
While cursing, he shoveled the soil and filled the land.
Peter glanced at them and asked expressionlessly, "Was the deceased cremated before burial?"
When the family members heard Peter's question, they were stunned for a moment and looked at each other in confusion.
After a while, a middle-aged man who seemed to be the leader looked at Peter and frowned:
"This has nothing to do with you, sir!"
Peter glanced at him and said indifferently: "Police, this is related to the case. Please cooperate with the investigation."
As he spoke, Peter threw his police ID over.
The middle-aged man took it and looked at it. He shuddered and stammered:
"Inspector?"
After hearing that the man in front of them was actually an inspector, the family members nearby didn't dare to speak, and the air suddenly became quiet.
Looking at the people in front of him who were as silent as a cicada, Peter asked again in a slow voice:
“Was the deceased cremated before burial?”
When hearing this question again, those people looked at each other, but no one answered the question.
Peter did not urge them and continued to look at them quietly.
