Chapter 873 Mermaid Legend

Could it be that I have encountered the legendary mermaid from the Croatian continent?

After seeing the graceful figure with a human body and a fish tail, this thought immediately popped up in Eros' mind.

Without hesitation, Eros pulled back before the mermaid-like being noticed him, returned to the bedroom on the balcony, and changed his clothes.

Cynthia didn't have to go through so much trouble. After Eros left, the spiritual power in her body surged, solidifying the spiritual power that had already dispersed on her body surface.

After a while, Eros, who had changed his clothes, came to the balcony again and looked at the graceful figure in the distance with Cynthia.

It was not known whether the mermaid singing in the distance noticed someone was watching her, or noticed the huge steel ship sailing at night, but the singing stopped abruptly.

In Eros's vision, the mermaid turned her head and looked towards the location of their ship, then jumped into the sea with a splash, splashing water that sparkled in the moonlight.

"She seems to be very wary of us." Eros turned his head to look at Cynthia, his tone a little puzzled.

Cynthia nodded and took the initiative to explain to Eros:

"The mermaid tribe was massacred by the people of the Temple of Disorder many years ago, and was almost wiped out."

"Among the rest, some converted to the Ocean Church in order to obtain asylum and moved to the heartland of the Ocean Church."

"The other part is wandering in the deep sea, hiding from the humans who covet the treasures of the mermaids."

"It's rare to see mermen in the wild nowadays. Most are sirens who imitate mermaids to attract passersby."

No wonder he was so alert. Eros suddenly realized and asked again:

"Why did the people from the Temple of Disorder suddenly massacre the mermaids?"

As soon as he asked this question, Eros realized that his question was a bit redundant.

The Temple of Disorder is a cult organization that believes in a twisted king. Given the way those cultists think, it is not surprising that they would do anything.

Not to mention the sudden massacre of the mermaids, even if they massacred their own organization one day, I guess not many people would find it strange.

Just when Eros felt that the question he asked was a bit redundant, Cynthia recalled:

"Because of power, the mermaids have two-tenths of the power of music. The high-ranking officials of the Temple of Disorder may want to gather all the power and raise the throne."

"Is that so?" Eros said he understood.

At this moment, the balcony door next to him was opened from the inside.

Hearing the sound, Eros subconsciously looked over there, and then saw Estelle, wearing a thick coat, walking out of the room.

Estelle obviously saw Eros as well, so she asked:

"What happened outside just now? Why do I feel like I heard a song?"

She didn't think much about it and thought that her child was attracted by the singing just like her.

Eros retracted his gaze, pointed to the reef in the distance, and explained to his mother:

"There was a mermaid singing on the rocks over there."

"Mermaid?" Estelle showed a hint of surprise on her face.

Naturally, she had also heard of the mermaid legend in Croatia. After all, the legend about mermaids was still widely circulated in Croatia.

Hearing this, Estelle looked in the direction Eros pointed, but unfortunately, there was nothing there except a few bare rocks.

Seeing this, Eros smiled and explained: "The mermaid left after discovering our ship."

As he spoke, he sent a thought to the sea below, wanting to see where the mermaid had gone.

In just a moment, the sea responded to him, marking the location of the mermaid in the sea with a mystical connection.

Eros sensed it and roughly estimated that in just a short while, the mermaid had swam more than ten miles out to sea.

This made him feel a little regretful. He had just been thinking that if the mermaid had not gone too far away, he could try to communicate with her.

After all, this is the first time I have seen this legendary creature, but now that it has gone far away, let it go.

Estelle on the balcony next door also showed regret in her beautiful eyes, regretting that she did not see the legendary mermaid.

But soon, she suppressed the pity in her eyes, turned to look at Eros opposite and warned:

"Since there's nothing to do, you should go to bed early!"

Having said that, she turned and walked back to the room.

After Estelle returned to her room, Eros glanced at Cynthia, who had just transformed back into a ring before Estelle left, and coughed lightly, saying:

"Let's continue."

It was impossible for him to rest as he had not yet helped his sister to vent her anger.

As his voice fell, the next second, Cynthia's figure appeared beside the railing again.

When Eros saw Cynthia preparing to remove the solidified spirit from her body, he quickly spoke out to stop her.

"No! That's it."

There was a hint of doubt in Cynthia's beautiful eyes. If he didn't release the spirit, how could he help his sister vent her anger?

Eros waved his hand and set up a spiritual wall near the balcony again, and then instructed Cynthia:

"Just lift your skirt up a bit."

Above the silent sea, the cool sea breeze still blows tirelessly.

Looking at the three silver moons hanging in the sky, the small world shrouded by the spiritual wall became noisy again, with the sound of endless waves ringing.
