Chapter 139 Childhood Arrangement

"Grandpa and Grandma~"

As soon as Yu Yunzhi unbuckled the little one's seatbelt, Jiang Jiang hurriedly reached out to let Yu's mother hold her.

"Oh~" Yu's mother quickly reached out and took Jiang Jiang from her. "Did you miss Grandma?"

"I miss her so much~" Jiang Jiang was held in Yu's mother's arms, and she drew a big circle with her hands to tell Yu's mother how much she missed her.

“Little sycophant…” Yu Yunzhi bluntly exposed Jiang Jiang.

"No, Jiang Jiang really misses her grandparents that much!"

Over here, Yu's mother, Jiang Jiang, and Yu Yunzhi are being affectionate, while Yu's father is helping Tang Suihe move her luggage.

"Why did you bring so much stuff back?"

Looking at Tang Suihe and the two large suitcases he unloaded from the car, Yu's mother asked incredulously.

"There's a box containing local specialties for you."

"Yunzhi is back!" The speaker was Aunt Wu, a neighbor of Yu Yunzhi's family, who had watched Yu Luoyan and Yu Yunzhi grow up since they were little.

"Aunt Wu~" Yu Yunzhi greeted the person who came.

Yu's parents live in a school district house. This house was allocated by the school where Yu's parents work. Most of the people in the neighborhood are teachers from this school. Aunt Wu is also a teacher and tutored Yu Yunzhi in history when he was a child.

At nine o'clock in the evening, Aunt Wu had just finished her last class when she saw a group of people standing at the entrance of her building on her way home.

What are they doing standing downstairs in this freezing weather? Upon closer inspection, isn't that Old Yu and his family?

Aunt Wu has always liked the Yu sisters, Luo Yan and Yun Zhi, since they were little. They were beautiful, well-mannered, and good at their studies...

It is said that daughters are their mothers' little cotton-padded jackets. Aunt Wu dreamed of having a daughter, but unfortunately, she had a son. Although he was not bad at studying, Aunt Wu always felt that something was missing.

When Yu Yunzhi was a child, Aunt Wu even suggested that they arrange a marriage between their children!

She's only three years older than Yunzhi. Although her son isn't particularly handsome, he's still quite good-looking, tall and thin. They grew up together, so they could be considered childhood sweethearts.

She genuinely liked Yu Yunzhi, having watched her grow up since she was a child. She raised Yunzhi like her own daughter, and since their families lived close by, they knew each other very well.

Yu's mother replied that it depends on what the child thinks in the future; what they say now is useless.

Indeed, what they said didn't count, but Aunt Wu was still as good to Yu Yunzhi as before.

Aunt Wu felt like she hadn't seen Yunzhi in a long time. She heard from Yu's mother that he had gone to film a movie again.

"Jiang Jiang is back too!?" Aunt Wu teased little Jiang Jiang in Yu's mother's arms. "Do you still remember Grandma Wu?"

"Hello, Grandma Wu~" Jiang Jiang put one arm around Yu's mother's neck, tilted her head to the side and leaned against Yu's mother's head, and greeted her in a childish voice.

"Hey! Jiang Jiang, where's Luo Yan? Hasn't Luo Yan come back?"

Aunt Wu looked around but couldn't find Yu Luoyan.

“She has some work to do at her company, she won’t be home until tomorrow,” Yu’s mother replied.

"Oh... Has Yunzhi finished filming? How long have you been back? Are you leaving again?"

"Yes, we just finished filming not long ago. We still have work to do, so we'll stay for about three days."

"Let's go upstairs first, we can talk up there." Mr. Yu, who had just finished carrying the luggage, didn't want to disturb their conversation, but there were more people on the street, probably high school students getting out of school.

Yu Yunzhi wasn't wearing a mask or hat, and it was cold at night. We could chat at home, and it would be warmer.

"Let's go, let's go." Yu's mother carried Jiang Jiang. Yu Yunzhi wanted to push the luggage, but Yu's father wouldn't let him. He and Tang Suihe each pushed a large suitcase, and Tang Suihe also pushed a small suitcase for Jiang Jiang. So Yu Yunzhi took a small backpack for Jiang Jiang.

Yu Yunzhi followed behind his mother and Aunt Wu, listening to their conversation and acting as an obedient background figure.

After Tang Suihe dropped Yu Yunzhi and the others off at home, he prepared to leave. Yu's parents invited Tang Suihe to stay a little longer so they could cook him a meal before he left.

Tang Suihe said it wasn't necessary; he and the driver still had to get back to Beijing, and Tang Suihe had work to do the next day and couldn't leave.

Yu's parents didn't insist that Tang Suihe stay, but packed some fruit and snacks for him to eat on his way home.

Aunt Wu is still here. Yu's mother, Yu Yunzhi, and Jiang Jiang are in the living room talking to Aunt Wu, while Yu's father is washing fruit in the kitchen.

"Here you go, have some strawberries." Mr. Yu carried a large plate full of strawberries, all of them washed clean, each one big and red, which he had specially bought after school today.

Mr. Yu placed the plate where everyone could reach it.

“I won’t eat. My husband will be back soon. I’ll go back and cook him something. All the students are asking him questions. He didn’t even have time to eat dinner.”

Aunt Wu's husband, Lao Gao, teaches senior high school and is also a homeroom teacher. He is very responsible. The students' last class is usually evening self-study, and Lao Gao will stay with the students until the very end.

So he usually doesn't get home until after 10 o'clock. This evening, during dinner time, a student asked him a question, so he didn't go to eat. Therefore, Aunt Wu often prepares his meal before he comes back, so that he can have a hot meal as soon as he gets home.

Especially in the dead of winter, braving the cold wind to come home, only to be greeted by a steaming hot meal is pure bliss!

Another reason is that Aunt Wu felt she had stayed too long. Her daughter had finally come back, and her presence was disturbing the family's reunion.

"Okay, then hurry back and cook for Lao Gao, it's almost time." Yu's mother glanced at her phone; it was indeed time.

Yu Yunzhi and his mother got up together to see Aunt Wu out, but Aunt Wu wouldn't listen when she asked them to stay.

"Alright, alright, you all go ahead and catch up! I won't disturb you any longer," Aunt Wu joked.

"What's the big deal? You watched Yunzhi grow up too," Yu's mother said reproachfully.

After seeing Aunt Wu off, only the family remained. Yu Yunzhi was finally able to hold onto his mother, collapsing against her, "I missed you so much, Mom~"

Yu's mother stroked her youngest daughter's hair and said, "You said Jiang Jiang was a little flatterer, but I think you're the little spoiled brat."

"Okay, stop being so sentimental, come and eat some strawberries."

When Yu's father saw Yu Yunzhi being so close to Yu's mother, he got jealous and interrupted the mother and daughter's affectionate moment with a stern face.

"I miss your dad too!" Yu Yunzhi could tell at a glance that her father was jealous. She and her mother exchanged a glance and saw the teasing in each other's eyes. Yu Yunzhi decided to try to appease her jealous father.

Upon hearing Yu Yunzhi's words, Yu's father immediately lost his composure, unable to suppress the smile on his face.

Yu's mother and father sat on one side of Yu Yunzhi. Yu's mother held Jiang Jiang and fed her strawberries.
