Have we arrived?
Yu Yunzhi felt like she had only been in the car for a short while when they arrived; she had thought it would be a long way.
"Okay, we're here." Shao Wenyan found a parking space, parked the car, and helped Yu Yunzhi unbuckle her seatbelt. She had left in a hurry and hadn't even brought her bag, just her phone.
"Put your clothes on, it's cold outside." After getting into the car, Yu Yunzhi took off his clothes because the air conditioning was on.
"Okay~" Yu Yunzhi obediently put on her coat and was about to get off the bus when she felt something was wrong. She then realized that she wasn't wearing a mask. "I didn't bring a mask..."
Shao Wenyan searched the car and found a few.
He seemed to see a few masks in the car when he went to the mall today. He wondered where Grandma Shao and Mama Shao put them after they got in the car.
Shao Wenyan and his group arrived at a reasonable time, but a large number of people had already gathered by the river.
The fireworks will start at 11:30 p.m., it's only a little past nine now.
The two strolled along the riverbank, taking their first leisurely walk in so many days since filming ended.
There were many people with children nearby, and various small vendors selling toys, lanterns, hairpins, and so on from their carts.
Everywhere you look, you hear children laughing and playing, and the atmosphere makes you feel relaxed.
Yu Yunzhi had his hands in his pockets, not knowing what to say, but he felt excited just being with him.
"Are you cold?" After walking a short distance, Shao Wenyan noticed that Yu Yunzhi had hunched his neck and asked.
Yu Yunzhi's coat had no collar or hood, and she wasn't wearing a scarf. The cold wind seeped into her neck, but it was bearable, after all, she was a female celebrity who had to wear a gown to walk the red carpet in the dead of winter!
When Shao Wenyan asked her, Yu Yunzhi shook her head.
"Zhizhi, can you sit here and wait for me for a moment?" Shao Wenyan arranged for Yu Yunzhi to sit on the chair prepared for tourists by the river, and then ran back to get his scarf.
Today I took Grandma Shao and Mom Shao shopping. The things we bought are still in the trunk and haven't been taken out yet. He remembers there were a few scarves in there.
When Shao Wenyan returned with the dark red scarf, he found that Yu Yunzhi, who was sitting in the chair, was gone.
She's sitting right here! There's grass behind the seat, and the light is dim here. Although there are pedestrians on the roadside, Yu Yunzhi is the only girl sitting here. I hope nothing bad will happen to her.
Startled, Shao Wenyan frantically searched everywhere. He first dialed Yu Yunzhi's number, but it didn't go through...
Shao Wenyan felt a sudden ringing in his ears, the surrounding sounds became blurred, and his heartbeat suddenly became louder.
Shao Wenyan was scrolling through his contacts on his phone, unaware that his hands were trembling.
When I finally found Mr. Shao's phone number, my hands were sweaty and trembling, and I couldn't get through even after two tries.
"Brother Wen Yan!"
The moment Yu Yunzhi's voice came, Shao Wenyan regained his hearing, and various hawking sounds entered his ears.
Shao Wenyan turned around stiffly, and Yu Yunzhi was standing not far away. The light shone on her, and Shao Wenyan seemed to see his own god.
He tried to lift his foot and walk towards Yu Yunzhi, but his legs seemed to have lost their strength, and he couldn't take a step.
After finally staggering out one step, Yu Yunzhi was already standing in front of him.
Shao Wenyan grabbed Yu Yunzhi and held her tightly in his arms.
Yu Yunzhi was still unaware of what was happening. She was held in Shao Wenyan's arms with a blank expression. When she felt a cold drop slide down her neck, Yu Yunzhi seemed to realize what it was.
She gently wrapped her arms around Shao Wenyan's waist and rested her head on his shoulder, offering him silent comfort.
After Shao Wenyan calmed down, he slowly released his arms from the girl. "I'm sorry, I hugged you without your permission."
"It's okay, what's wrong?"
Yu Yunzhi asked hesitantly. She had never seen Shao Wenyan shed tears before. Apart from filming, this was the first time she had seen him cry in real life. Although she hadn't seen it, she was absolutely certain that she had felt it was tears!
"I thought you were gone..."
Shao Wenyan was still a little shaken; he shouldn't have left her alone outside, especially at night.
Shao Wenyan didn't blame Yu Yunzhi for running around. He just felt that he hadn't made proper arrangements and had left her waiting for him alone outside.
Although the social order is good now, there are still some scoundrels in society, so Shao Wenyan dared not gamble.
Hearing Shao Wenyan's words, Yu Yunzhi was both amused and exasperated. This was China! There were so many people around, and she was an adult, not a child. How could she possibly get lost?
But a wave of heartache and warmth welled up inside me. Just how important was I to him that someone like him would shed tears...
"Look, I'm standing here perfectly fine now!" Yu Yunzhi even playfully twirled around, holding the edge of his coat.
"Hmm~" After Yu Yunzhi stood up, Shao Wenyan wrapped the scarf he had just brought around her arm.
"Where did you just go?" When he put on the scarf, Shao Wenyan felt his heart finally settle down when he saw the little girl staring at him with her bright eyes.
“There are people selling lanterns over there, they’re so pretty! I’ve been thinking of buying one for Jiang Jiang.” Yu Yunzhi pointed in the direction she had just come from, her eyes shining as she held up the lantern.
Yu Yunzhi was sitting obediently in her seat waiting for Shao Wenyan to return with the scarf, but as soon as Shao Wenyan left to get the scarf, a person came to sell lanterns about five meters away from her.
His lanterns light up and come in various styles, attracting many children.
