Chapter 130 The Suckling Bag

Lin Qinghuan sat under a tree, gazing at the beautiful sunset in the distance. The sight was so stunning that it eased her worries and improved her mood considerably.

A boy of about seven or eight years old stopped as he passed by Lin Qinghuan, looked at her and asked, "Hey! You poor thing, were you bullied again? You're hiding here crying all by yourself."

Lin Qinghuan knew that this little brat was her eldest cousin's son, Lin Qinghui, and raised an eyebrow, saying, "Yes, I was chased and beaten by my mother and your second grandmother. Will you help me get justice?"

Lin Qinghui was stunned for a moment, then exclaimed in surprise, "You actually know how to resist!"

"Filial piety is paramount. If I dare to resist, I'll fight my mother." Lin Qinghuan said, then looked at Lin Qinghui and deliberately said, "Why don't you let your grandmother fight my mother and stand up for me?"

Lin Qinghui said, "My grandmother is too old to fight."

Lin Qinghuan then said, "Then let your mother go. She's young and definitely can fight."

Lin Qinghui replied, "If my mom gets her face injured by your mom, my dad will be disgusted."

Lin Qinghuan then said, "Then let your dad go, is that alright?"

She wanted to see how this little brat would answer.

Lin Qinghui said awkwardly, "A good man doesn't fight with a woman. Your mother is my father's elder, and she's also a woman. It wouldn't be appropriate for my father, a grown man, to resort to violence."

Holy crap! This little brat always has a way of refusing people, and he has quite a few reasons for it. Lin Qinghuan is impressed.

"If you're not going to help, then forget it. Don't waste your breath," Lin Qinghuan said irritably.

Lin Qinghui said with disdain, "Look at your attitude, you don't act like an elder at all."

"Do you even act like a junior? Did you greet me, your elder? You don't even act like a junior yourself, yet you expect others to act like elders. Isn't that a bit too much?" Lin Qinghuan retorted.

Lin Qinghui said confidently, "Haven't you heard? Adults don't hold grudges against children. I'm still a child."

Lin Qinghuan chuckled dryly twice and said, "I'm sixteen this year, not yet an adult, still a child. Your reasoning is invalid."

Even if Lin Qinghui was smart, he was speechless at this moment.

Seeing Lin Qinghui's speechless expression, a hint of a smile flashed in Lin Qinghuan's eyes, but it disappeared in an instant before she returned to normal.

"Hey kid, go away and don't block my view," Lin Qinghuan said disdainfully.

Lin Qinghui puffed out his chest and said arrogantly, "Is the road yours? Why can't I stand here? I'm not moving, what can you do to me?"

"You're not leaving, huh! If you won't leave, I will. You can just stand here forever!" Lin Qinghuan said, then left.

Lin Qinghui stared dumbfounded at Lin Qinghuan's retreating figure!

Lin Qinghui caught up with Lin Qinghuan and asked loudly, "Hey! You pushover, are you angry?"

Seeing that Lin Qinghui kept calling him a pushover, Lin Qinghuan didn't want to pay him any attention and quickened her pace to walk forward.

Lin Qinghui jogged to catch up, still talking, "You pushover, you still haven't told me if you're angry or not?"

"I'm angry, don't talk to me. I'm afraid I'll lose my temper and spank you," Lin Qinghuan said.

"Oh! The pushover has learned to hit people now, that's an improvement," Lin Qinghui teased.

Wow! Are all kids these days so eloquent? Lin Qinghuan was speechless!

Lin Qinghuan stopped and stared at Lin Qinghui, saying, "If you speak again, you'll be the first person I hit."

Lin Qinghui was worried that Lin Qinghuan would really hit him, so he took a step back and looked at Lin Qinghuan warily.

Lin Qinghuan almost laughed. Was she such a tasteless person?

"Now that you're scared, stay away from me." Lin Qinghuan said, deliberately swinging her fist at Lin Qinghui.

Lin Qinghui took another step back, his eyes filled with surprise. How could Lin Qinghuan have changed so much?

Lin Qinghuan rolled her eyes. What a cowardly bully! She couldn't be bothered with him!

Lin Qinghuan kept her head down and walked forward, following closely behind. Lin Qinghuan stopped and looked at Lin Qinghui, saying, "Why are you following me?"

“Who would want to follow you?” Lin Qinghui glanced at Lin speechlessly, then pointed to the main road and said, “See? This main road leads straight to my house. I have to take this road to get home.”

Realizing she had misunderstood, Lin Qinghuan said nothing and continued on her way.

Lin Qinghui was dumbfounded!

That's it? Not even a single explanation?

Lin Qinghuan didn't hear any noise behind her. She turned around and saw Lin Qinghui still standing there. A thought flashed through her mind, and she called out to Lin Qinghui, "Lin Qinghui, look behind you!"

Lin Qinghui subconsciously turned around to look, but there was no ghost in sight. He then realized that Lin Qinghuan had lied to him and hurriedly caught up with her, questioning, "Lin Qinghuan, did you scare me on purpose just now?"

Lin Qinghuan replied seriously, "No, I just saw an airplane fly by and wanted to show it to you."

"Really?" Lin Qinghui asked, half believing and half doubting.

Lin Qinghuan smiled calmly: "If you don't believe me, you won't believe me even if I say it's true. If you believe me, you'll believe me even if it's not true. It all depends on yourself."

Lin Qinghui was dizzy from Lin Qinghuan's words. He rubbed his head and realized that what she said made a lot of sense.

"You little brat, aren't you going to school today?" Lin Qinghuan asked.

Lin Qinghui replied, "Today is the eighth day of the week, there are no classes."

Lin Qinghuan was stunned. The eighth day of the week? When did a week have eight days? How come she didn't know?

Lin Qinghui burst into laughter, pointing at Lin Qinghuan and saying, "How could you be so stupid as to believe in the eighth day of the week?"

Seeing Lin Qinghui's smug laughter, Lin Qinghuan instantly realized that she had been tricked by this little brat!

Holy crap! When did her IQ drop so low?! She's even fooling little kids.

"Qinghuan!" A long-unheard voice rang out.

Lin Qinghuan looked in the direction of the sound and saw Qin Zhen standing in front of her, looking at her.

Lin Qinghui looked at Qin Zhen and asked curiously, "Who is he?"

“A friend I know,” Lin Qinghuan said calmly.

"Oh! I thought he was your boyfriend." Lin Qinghui looked at Qin Zhen, who looked handsome and dashing. If he was Lin Qinghuan's boyfriend, he could rescue her from her second grandmother's house, so she wouldn't have to suffer and be bullied.

"Don't talk nonsense," Lin Qinghuan said.

Qin Zhen watched Lin Qinghuan slowly walk towards him, his feelings were somewhat complicated.

Lin Qinghuan walked up to Qin Zhen and greeted him politely with a smile: "Qin Zhen, it's been a long time."

Qin Zhen looked at Lin Qinghuan, whose tone was distant and whose eyes were devoid of light, and knew that she had let go of him. A wave of bitterness welled up in his heart.

"Qinghuan, are you doing well?"

Lin Qinghuan smiled slightly, her eyes sparkling with amusement, and said easily, "Wei Xiao specifically asked Xiao Wang to give my dad two hundred yuan so that he would treat me well. Now I don't have to work myself to the bone every day, I just do some housework. These past few months have been the most comfortable I've ever had since I was a child."
