“I don’t even like wool coats, why would I buy one?” Wang Xin retorted.
"I think you just don't have the money to buy it, and you like to pretend to be rich to show off," Lin Qinghuan retorted.
Wang Xin arrogantly raised her chin. "I'm a rich woman, why would I need to dress up? You're trying to annoy me, trying to make me waste money on clothes I don't like. Let me tell you, I won't fall for it. Save your breath! I'm smart enough!"
Lin Qinghuan said jokingly, "Oh my! I've never seen anyone praise themselves before. Today is truly an eye-opener. I've finally seen one."
"That's just who I am, do I need to be praised?" Wang Xin said, blushing and shamelessly.
Lin Qinghuan burst out laughing, "My goodness! You've blown your own horn to the heavens, aren't you afraid of exploding your horn?"
“You…” Wang Xin was speechless with anger.
Lin Qing looked at Wang Xin, whose face was flushed with anger, smiled and shook her head, then placed the large bag of clothes on the counter.
Qin's mother placed a beige wool coat on the counter and said, "Please wrap up my coat."
Lin Qing smiled as she packed the wool coat. "It's 152.8 yuan in total. Since you bought several items at once, I'll give you a discount. I'll charge you 150 yuan, and I'll leave the 2.8 yuan at that."
Lin Qinghuan and Wang Xin stood still, presumably waiting for Qin's mother to give them the money. She stared at her intently, her expression unreadable.
Wang Xin felt uncomfortable under Lin Qinghuan's gaze. She took out some money from her purse, counted it, and slammed it on the counter with a "smack." Lin Qinghuan quickly and efficiently collected the money.
Wang Xin, carrying the bag, glared at Lin Qinghuan arrogantly before walking towards the store entrance with her head held high.
Lin Qinghuan called out to Wang Xin and Qin's mother, "Please take care, and come again next time."
"Cousin Wang Xin, I forgot to tell you, this is the shop I own. All the clothes in the shop are mine. You don't need to pay for the clothes you like. Cousin Wang Xin, you must patronize this shop more often in the future!"
Wang Xin staggered, her face showing shock. This store was actually owned by Lin Qinghuan? How could that be? Thinking about the several clothes she had bought from Lin Qinghuan's store, Wang Xin wanted to return them immediately, but she didn't want to face Lin Qinghuan again, and she knew she couldn't win an argument with her. She stomped her foot, feeling indignant, and left without looking back.
Qin's mother turned around and glanced at Lin Qinghuan, her eyes filled with complex emotions.
