Chapter 343 Singing

As Wei Xiao watched Lin Qinghuan speak confidently and eloquently, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl upwards.

Lin Zeng took a sip of wine, watching Lin Qinghuan handle the situation with ease and speak fluently with Li Na and the others, and raised an eyebrow, saying, "Wei Xiao, I didn't expect Lin Qinghuan to be so eloquent."

Looking at Lin Qinghuan's smiling face, Dong Wenbo felt a bitter taste in his mouth. He raised his wine glass in frustration and downed the glass in one gulp.

Lin Zeng glanced at Dong Wenbo and sighed inwardly. Dong Wenbo met Lin Qinghuan too late, so he was destined to only be able to have a secret crush on her.

Wei Xiao looked at the sullen Dong Wenbo, his eyes darkening. Qinghuan was his, and no one could take her away from him. He hoped Dong Wenbo would cut his losses in time and not get too deeply involved.

Wei Xiao poured a glass of wine, picked it up and said to Dong Wenbo, "Wenbo, cheers! Thank you for taking care of Qinghuan all this time."

Dong Wenbo raised his wine glass, smiled slightly at Wei Xiao, and said, "It was nothing, no need to thank me!"

The two clinked their glasses together, the sound of the glasses ringing out clearly, and then downed the wine in their glasses in one gulp.

Lin Qinghuan was worried that Wei Xiao was drunk, so she leaned closer to him and whispered, "Wei Xiao, drink less."

"It's alright, we're having a rare good time today, let's drink to our hearts' content," Wei Xiao said softly.

“Qinghuan, Wei Xiao has a good alcohol tolerance, you don’t need to worry about him getting drunk,” Wu Xinghua said.

Lin Qinghuan smiled, knowing that Wei Xiao was a sensible person, so she didn't say anything more.

Li Na and Wu Xinghua's girlfriend Wen Xi exchanged a glance. Wen Xi said, "Lin Qinghuan, it's rare for us to get together today, how about we sing a song to celebrate?"

Lin Qinghuan frowned slightly. Singing? She wasn't very good at singing songs from this era.

Wei Xiao looked up at Li Na and Wen Xi, then turned to Lin Qinghuan, "Qinghuan, don't force yourself to sing if you don't like it."

Lin Qinghuan smiled and said nonchalantly, "It's alright, I can't spoil everyone's fun."

Wenxi picked up the remote, selected the playlist, and said with a smile, "Miss Lin, see what songs you like."

Lin Qinghuan said neither humbly nor arrogantly, "I have always lived in the countryside and have never sung with a microphone before. Why don't you sing first?"

A hint of pride flashed across Wenxi's face. She was a music teacher, and her forte was singing. She selected "The Moon Represents My Heart," picked up the microphone, and began to sing:

You ask me how deep my love for you is?

How much do I love you?

My feelings are true.

My love is true.

...

Wenxi's singing voice was melodious and graceful, and everyone applauded and cheered, "Wenxi, you sang well, no wonder you are a music teacher."

Wenxi handed the microphone to Li Na, who took it and smiled shyly, "I didn't sing well, I hope you won't laugh at me."

"It's not a singing competition, it's just for fun. As long as you have fun," Wenxi said with a smile.

Lin Zeng looked at Li Na and said with a smile, "Wenxi is right. It's not a singing competition. Sing with confidence. No one will laugh at you."

Li Na requested the song "Tian Mi Mi" (Sweet Honey), and as the music started, she began to sing into the microphone:

Sweet Honey, Your Smile is So Sweet

It's like flowers blooming in the spring breeze.

Blooming in the spring breeze

...

As soon as Li Na finished singing, Wen Xi smiled and praised her, "You sang well, even better than I expected!"

Wenxi and Li Na both looked at Lin Qinghuan at the same time, "Miss Lin, it's your turn!"

Wei Xiao had never heard Lin Qinghuan sing before, and looked at her with some concern.

Lin Qinghuan smiled brightly at Wei Xiao, took the microphone from Li Na, tested the sound, and said with a smile, "I'll sing 'Olive Tree' today!"

“Miss Lin, ‘Olive Tree’ is a bit difficult to sing, why don’t we choose another song?” Wenxi said.

"It's okay. Like you guys said, it's not like we're going to a competition, we're just singing for fun," Lin Qinghuan said casually.

Wenxi found the song "Olive Tree," pressed play, and as the melodious music began, everyone turned to look at Lin Qinghuan.

Lin Qinghuan smiled gently at Wei Xiao and began to sing into the microphone:

Don't ask me where I come from.

My hometown is far away.

Why are people homeless?

...

The ethereal, beautiful, and melodious singing came from Lin Qinghuan's mouth. Wei Xiao was stunned for a moment, then laughed happily.

I never expected Qinghuan to be able to sing, and sing so well! It's such a surprise!
