Lu Jiajing was still worried, so she leaned closer to Tu Luoxue and whispered, "Xuexue, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
Tu Luoxue snapped out of her reverie, forced a smile at Lu Jiajing, and replied, "It's okay, go do your homework, don't get distracted by me."
Lu Jiajing gently rubbed Tu Luoxue's shoulder, then sat back down and focused on her work without saying anything more.
Tu Luoxue sighed inwardly, gently shook her head, trying to calm herself and continue working on the problem, but the dizziness in her head made her feel unwell. Just as she was about to put her pen on the problem, Tu Luoxue suddenly lost consciousness and fell towards Lu Jiajing.
Although Lu Jiajing and Tu Luoxue were sitting at separate tables, they were quite close because of their friendship. Tu Luoxue leaned on Lu Jiajing, and Lu Jiajing thought she was just tired and needed to lean on her.
But Tu Luoxue's body kept slipping down, and Lu Jiajing realized something was wrong. She quickly put down her pen and grabbed Tu Luoxue's body.
"Xuexue, what's wrong?!"
Tu Luoxue vaguely heard Lu Jiajing's anxious voice, but she no longer had the strength to respond. On the middle finger of Tu Luoxue's right hand was the ring Yan Luo had given her, the brilliant ruby on the ring shimmering with a faint red light.
The unconscious Tu Luoxue found herself in Yan Luo's old house in Changqing Village. Tu Luoxue stood in the courtyard, where dark clouds filled the sky, and it looked like it was about to rain.
Not understanding why she was there, Tu Luoxue glanced at the rainy sky, walked to the door and put her hand on the doorknob. Unexpectedly, the door was unlocked, so she pushed it open and went inside.
The lack of sunlight made the room dark, and the first floor looked somewhat eerie. Following her memory, Tu Luoxue turned on the lights on the first floor to make herself less afraid.
The clock in the living room on the first floor showed that it was a little past four in the afternoon. Seeing that no one was on the first floor, Tu Luoxue went up to the second floor.
The second floor was much darker than the first floor. Even though light shone in from the balcony, the living room on the second floor felt even more oppressive than the first floor. Tu Luoxue turned on the light on the second floor with trembling hands. When the light illuminated the living room, her heart calmed down.
Tu Luoxue is afraid of the dark, but as the older sister, she rarely shows it in front of her younger sisters.
She glanced at the rooms on the second floor; only Yanluo's door was closed. Tu Luoxue approached and knocked, but there was no response from inside. She then turned the doorknob and opened the door.
The curtains in Yanluo's room were not drawn, and the light from the living room shone into the dark room. Tu Luoxue found the switch by the wall near the door, but when she pressed it, it did not respond like it did on the first and second floors.
After trying several times without being able to turn on the light, Tu Luoxue gave up and went into Yanluo's room by the light from the living room.
I hadn't noticed it before, but there was a boy lying on the bed in the corner. He was lying flat on his back, and perhaps because he was afraid of the heat, he only covered his stomach with a blanket.
Tu Luoxue approached and recognized the boy on the bed as Yan Luo. Compared to the young Yan Luo, the boy was less mature and more innocent. His handsome face made Tu Luoxue's heart race.
Although she didn't understand the situation, Tu Luoxue instinctively wanted to tease Yan Luo when she saw him.
Tu Luoxue removed the hair tie, and her long, snow-white hair fell down. She slowly bent down and playfully brushed a strand of hair against Yanluo's cheek.
In his sleep, Yanluo thought it was a mosquito and scratched his face, but he still felt itchy after scratching. After repeating this several times, he woke up.
Yanluo scratched her face and opened her eyes, vaguely seeing a white-haired ghost standing beside her bed!
He hadn't replaced the broken light in the room, and the light coming from the living room, combined with Tu Luoxue's disheveled hair, gave Yan Luo a real fright.
Yan Luo instinctively threw a punch at Tu Luoxue, but fortunately Tu Luoxue had anticipated this reaction and dodged in time; otherwise, that punch would have hurt her for a long time.
Tu Luoxue took a few steps back, smiled, and tied her hair up, revealing her lovely and aloof face.
"Who are you? Why are you in my house?!"
Yan Luo then realized that the white-haired ghost in front of her was a cute girl, but why did this girl look a little cold?
Tu Luoxue did not introduce herself, but instead asked Yan Luo.
How old are you now?
Yanlu didn't understand why the girl would ask her how old she was, but she still answered innocently.
"fifteen."
Tu Luoxue was secretly delighted and said with a smile, "Then I can call you Brother Yanluo!"
Yan Luo raised three question marks above her head, feeling even more puzzled. She asked, "How do you know my name? Do we know each other?"
Tu Luoxue raised her right hand, and the beautiful ruby on her gold hammered ring shone brightly in the dim room.
"Of course I know your name. I am your wife, and this is the wedding ring you personally placed on my finger!"
Yan Luo didn't believe Tu Luoxue's words. He squinted at Tu Luoxue and said, "You said you're my future wife, so why are you still wearing a uniform?"
Tu Luoxue looked down at her clothes. She was still wearing her school uniform, and the bright school badge gave her away.
The little white hair's tuft of hair on its head was spinning so fast it was almost as fast as a propeller.
She cleared her throat awkwardly and said, "Never mind that, I'm going to be your future wife anyway."
Yan Luo shook her head decisively and replied with a firm look in her eyes, "Impossible. I like Su Qing and I would never be with another woman. You're lying. You don't look that much older than me."
Tu Luoxue pursed her lips, feeling helpless. She hadn't seen him be this devoted since.
Little White Hair, having made a fool of himself, stopped joking and walked out of the room to sit on the wooden bench in the living room. Yan Luo got up from the bed and followed Tu Luoxue out of the room, sitting on the chair next to her.
"Okay, actually I'm not your wife yet, but I will definitely be your wife. This ring isn't a wedding ring, but it was indeed you who put it on my hand."
As she spoke, Tu Luoxue shook the ring on her hand, her face beaming with undisguised pride.
Yanlu blinked, her face filled with disbelief.
What on earth is this girl who suddenly appeared in my room saying? It's so strange.
Yan Luo looked at Tu Luoxue and said, "I don't care who you are or how you got into my house and into my room. Now please leave. Trespassing is illegal."
Tu Luoxue ignored Yan Luo's words and changed the subject, saying, "It looks like it's going to rain outside. Shouldn't you bring in the laundry first?"
During the Yian period, people in Yanluo would hang their clothes out to dry in the courtyard. Even if it rained and they were not at home, the elders next door would help bring them inside.
Yan Luo glanced at the balcony, about to say something, when she heard a clap of thunder. Tu Luoxue was startled, and then large raindrops began to fall from the sky.
"Oh no, it's raining!"
Yanlu called out, turned around and ran downstairs to collect the clothes in the yard.
