It's past ten o'clock.
Yanluo was coaxing Tu Yier to sleep in the room.
Yanluo held Tu Yier close to her, holding a storybook in her hand.
"Today, your uncle will tell you the story of an empress..."
Tu Yier became more and more engrossed in listening, and found it even harder to fall asleep.
Yanluo patted her head and continued talking, and Tu Yier finally couldn't stay awake any longer and fell asleep.
After tucking the baby in, Yanluo left the room.
Chi Miaomiao came out of the bathroom after taking a shower.
They happened to run into Yanluo.
"Is Yi'er asleep?"
"Yes, she fell asleep while listening to the story."
Chi Miaomiao smiled and hugged Yan Luo's arm.
"Brother, can you tell me a story to lull me to sleep?"
Chi Miaomiao wasn't wearing any underwear; a soft, fragrant aura enveloped Yanluo.
Yanlu smiled and leaned down to kiss Chi Miaomiao's cheek.
"Is it time for little Miaomiao to go to sleep now?"
Chi Miaomiao shook her head.
"I want to watch some more TV."
Yan Luo nodded.
"Then I'll go write a novel."
Okay.
Yanluo returned to her room and turned on her computer.
It's almost eleven o'clock, Yanluo needs to hurry up.
Fortunately, Yanluo plans out what she needs to write each day, so there shouldn't be any major problems.
Yanluo's fingers flew across the keyboard, and she completed today's task in just over half an hour.
Yanluo turned off the computer and left the room.
He knocked on Tu Luoxue's door.
"Please come in—"
It's Tu Keke's voice.
Yan Luo opened the door and saw Tu Luoxue and Lu Jiajing still working hard at their desks, while Tu Keke was lying on the bed watching anime.
Are you hungry, little beauties?
All three shook their heads.
"I need to go to sleep now that I'm not hungry. It's late, and I have to get up early tomorrow. I won't have any energy if I don't get enough sleep."
The three girls responded with a "yes".
Yanluo closed the door and came to the sofa.
All three aunts were watching TV.
Yanluo sat down on the single sofa.
Are you hungry?
The aunts also shook their heads.
"It's time to go to sleep."
Su Qing and Bai Ningbing were taken aback, then stood up.
“I’m going to sleep with Yi’er. Yi’er is scared to sleep alone at night.”
"I'm scared too."
Chi Miaomiao tried to run away, but Yan Luo picked her up.
"Didn't little Miaomiao want to hear her brother tell a story?"
Chi Miaomiao turned around and said awkwardly.
"Actually, it doesn't have to be that complicated."
Yan Luo picked up Chi Miaomiao.
"It's not troublesome at all, how could it be troublesome?"
"I love telling stories the most."
Su Qing and Bai Ningbing hid behind the door, watching helplessly as Chi Miaomiao went to the battlefield.
"Take care, Miaomiao!"
"Take care of yourself."
The once inseparable trio of fairies has now fallen apart.
Chi Miaomiao was betrayed by her two older sisters.
The next day.
Since there was no 8 AM start date, Yanluo chose to finish today's tasks first.
That way I'll have time to play games at night.
Su Qing woke up groggily, the nightlight providing a dim light, and thought of tidying up the blankets for Tu Yier next to her.
I tried to tuck her hand under the blanket, but when I shook it, I found it was very hot.
Su Qing immediately came to her senses and reached out to touch Tu Yier's forehead; it was indeed very hot.
The little baby is still whimpering.
"Auntie, I feel dizzy and unwell."
She picked up Tu Yier.
"Don't be afraid, your aunt will take you to see a doctor."
He immediately left the room and went downstairs.
Yanluo was making breakfast in the kitchen.
Tu Luoxue and her two friends have already gone to school.
"Ayan!"
"Yier has a fever!"
Yan Luo turned off the fire and came over to take Tu Yi'er.
It was so hot to the touch.
Su Qing said anxiously.
"Quick, to the hospital."
Yanluo looked at Su Qing with a reassuring gaze.
"It's okay, don't worry."
"Measure the temperature first."
The ear thermometer reads 39 degrees Celsius.
"Give them some ibuprofen first, then put on a fever-reducing patch and observe. If the fever doesn't go down, go to the hospital."
Yan Luo acted as a reassurance, calming the anxious Su Qing and Bai Ningbing.
After completing these steps, Yanluo covered Tu Yier with a blanket, placed her hand on Tu Yier's forehead, and channeled some chaotic energy into her to help cool the little one down.
Seeing that the baby didn't seem to be in much pain, Su Qing felt relieved.
Su Qing took out her phone to ask her advisor for leave; this was the first time she had asked for leave in three years.
Yanluo also took leave to stay at home.
Although he knew in his heart that Tu Yier would be alright, he still decided to play it safe.
Children's bodies are still very fragile and must be monitored at all times.
Even though we can be teleported back, who wants to go to school or work?
It's obvious he just wants to slack off for a day.
Tu Yier, who was recovering from sleep, had a dream.
She dreamt that she was still at home in the capital.
Grandparents, parents, sisters, and uncles were all by my side.
I am very happy and blessed.
At night, Mom would hold me and my sisters as we slept together.
My mother's voice was gentle and pure, and she told the story vividly, making me feel as if I were there.
But Tu Yier knew that it was all a dream.
She only had her uncles, sisters, and aunts around her.
But I really want to spend more time with my parents.
Even in a dream.
In the dream, Tu Yier is an observer.
Peeping at the happiness that originally belonged to them.
The dream shattered like a mirror, and Tu Yier fell into darkness.
Tu Yier was a little scared.
It's so dark here, and there's not a sound.
Tu Yier could clearly hear her own heartbeat.
Thump, thump.
And it's so cold.
Tu Yier's small body trembled involuntarily.
"Little one, what are you doing here?"
The sound came from behind.
Tu Yier turned around.
Behind her stood a woman with red hair and dressed in red.
The place where the woman stood was bathed in warm white light.
The woman wore a wide red robe, her long, maple-leaf-red hair fluttered in the wind, and her gentle red eyes looked at Tu Yier with concern.
"Who are you?"
The woman smiled sweetly.
“Me? My name is Shao Shenyun.”
Tu Yier blinked her eyes.
"I am Tu Yier."
Shao Shenyun walked towards Tu Yier.
What are you doing here all by yourself?
Tu Yier felt warmth, the only warmth in this cold darkness.
Shao Shenyun walked to the little girl, squatted down, hugged her in her arms, and then sat down.
Tu Yier was wrapped in Shao Shenyun's large red robe, and the two of them kept each other warm.
Tu Yier felt an unprecedented warmth as Shao Shenyun's chin rested on her little head.
Feeling the touch on her back, Tu Yier thought that this sense of oppression was the same as that of her fox aunt.
"Sister, why did you appear in my dream?"
Shao Shenyun shook her head.
"I don't know either. I just kept walking and ended up here, and then I found you."
"Perhaps it's fate."
Tu Yier looked up and saw Shao Shenyun smiling, a smile as warm as the sun.
"Sister, you seem very lonely."
Shao Shenyun was somewhat surprised.
This child has a strong ability to understand people's psychology.
"It's okay, I'm used to it."
Tu Yier grasped Shao Shenyun's hands.
"If you'd like, sister, you can come visit me in my dreams."
"I can play with you."
Shao Shenyun nodded with a smile.
"Let's try it later and see if we can meet in your dreams next time you go to sleep."
Tu Yier nodded.
"Okay, okay!"
"That way, my sister won't be all alone in this dark place."
Shao Shenyun smiled brightly.
"Thank you, my little friend."
You're welcome.
