Chapter 293 Countdown

Chi Miaomiao changed into a black suit and tied her long hair into a bun, looking very cool. She led Huahuo, who was wearing a white dress, to the center of the kindergarten auditorium stage. Looking at the audience below, she and Huahuo began their opening remarks.

"Dear parents..."

After a relatively short opening ceremony, it was time for the children from each class to perform.

From the smallest class to the largest class, the first to go on stage was Tu Yier's Sunflower Class.

If you look closely, the crystal crown on Tu Yier's head is different from the other girls'; it looks more exquisite because she is a singer on the show.

The Sunflower Class has a total of twenty-five children, twelve boys and thirteen girls. Tu Yier has a great talent for singing, which was discovered by Chi Miaomiao, so Tu Yier was chosen to sing when arranging the program.

This way, the number of children is just right.

After Tu Yier took a deep breath backstage, the curtain rose, and the spotlight moved to shine on her.

"I want to sing Long Xia's songs to the world..."

As Tu Yier began to sing, children running hand in hand appeared on both sides of the stage.

Yan Luo and her family members all had smiles on their faces, and Tu Keke even stood up from her chair and shouted.

The camera flashes from the fireworks display never stopped, snapping away at Tu Yier in the center of the stage.

The Sunflower Class has two performances, and they will not be on stage again until after several performances.

Tu Yier sang on stage, her eyes constantly fixed on Yan Luo.

Yanlu waved to her, encouraging Tu Yier.

Unbeknownst to him, a tear slid down Yanluo's left eye as memories of the past and his three children's daily lives flashed through his mind.

The journey has been mostly joyful, but this is all because everyone has hidden their sadness in their hearts.

They were both afraid of worrying each other, so they buried their emotions in their hearts, relying on each other for warmth.

It's not that the children depend on Yanluo, but rather that Yanluo can't do without them.

Looking at Tu Yier shining on the stage, Yan Luo couldn't hold back her tears, but a happy smile appeared on her face.

Su Qing and Tu Luoxue stood on either side of him, each holding one of his hands, silently comforting him.

The New Year's Eve party ended around 9 p.m.

Yanlu rushed towards Tu Yier, who had changed back into her uniform, and lifted her high in the air.

"You're amazing, baby!!"

Tu Yier smiled.

"Uncle, aren't I amazing?"

"Great job! You did a fantastic job tonight!"

The little guy pointed to his own face.

"Then my uncle will give me a kiss as a reward."

Yan Luo ruffled Tu Yi'er's hair and then kissed her cheek.

Tu Yier chuckled, then Shen Yulan hugged her and she shared her feelings about being on stage with her grandmother.

The party ended, and the parents took their children home one after another. Everyone will have a day off tomorrow.

Four cars drove home one after another, with the fox demon sister Bai Ningbing sitting in the passenger seat of Yanluo's car.

The sports car could only seat two people, and there were only Yan Luo and Bai Ningbing inside.

Bai Ningbing looked at Yan Luo and observed the changes in her.

"Little brother, your hair is all red."

Yan Luo hadn't noticed yet; he glanced at Bai Ningbing in surprise, then looked ahead.

"Really?"

"Hmm, it used to be a bit dark, but now you can't see any black at all."

Bai Ningbing looked at Yan Luo with concern, and Yan Luo gave her a reassuring look.

"It's okay, I'm still me, it doesn't affect me."

The fox demon sister sighed.

"If one day you are no longer yourself, I will wait for you to come back with everyone."

Yanluo chuckled softly.

"Sister Ningbing, what nonsense are you talking about?"

After saying that, Yan Luo slowed down the car and quickly kissed Bai Ningbing's fair and tender cheek.

Bai Ningbing had already passed the stage of blushing over the slightest bit of romance. She just smiled and leaned in to kiss Yan Luo back.

They both had happy smiles on their faces.

After arriving home, Shen Yulan took Tu Yier to take a bath, as the hot water was a good way to warm their bodies.

Tu Keke and Man Sui leaned against each other. The little golden retriever held the TV remote and idly flipped through TV channels. He jumped to the Capital TV station and happened to see Qin Jinyang performing on stage.

The camera then switched to show Chu Hang, who looked reserved in the audience, and Qin Jinwen, who was happy for her sister. Although Tu Keke didn't know Qin Jinwen, she pointed at the TV and asked Yan Luo about Chu Hang's appearance and his similar face to Qin Jinyang.

"Uncle, is that Sister Jin Yang's relative?"

The camera lingered on Chu Hang and Qin Jinwen for a while, which seemed to carry a deeper meaning.

Yan Luo looked up and nodded.

"That's her older sister, Qin Jinwen."

Tu Luoxue looked at Yan Luo with curiosity.

How do you know me?

Yanluo explained, "Sister Wen actually works for the country just like me, so we're colleagues. We know each other."

Little White Hair nodded, becoming curious about the work Yan Luo had been doing. Although she had been somewhat curious before, she thought that everyone had their own secrets and space, so she had never asked.

However, since working for the country shouldn't be revealed casually, Tu Luoxue suppressed her curiosity and watched Qin Jinyang's performance on stage with everyone else.

Coincidentally, Qin Jinyang sang the same song as Tu Yier tonight.

"I want to sing Long Xia's songs to the world,"

"The sleeping dragon has awakened,"

"East……"

The girl's voice was gentle yet incredibly powerful, captivating the audience both in the theater and in front of their televisions.

After she finished singing, the host walked over to her and asked her a question.

What is Xiao Yang's New Year's wish?

Qin Jinyang took the microphone and smiled at the audience.

“A very important person to me often talks about his brother. He said his brother always expressed the same wish: that Longxia would be prosperous and peaceful. My New Year's wish is the same. I hope everyone can live happily and healthily, and that life gets better and better. I hope everyone can become a master of life!”

The host led the applause, which elicited even louder applause from the audience.

"Xiao Yang, did this important person come to the live broadcast at the Capital TV station today?"

Without the slightest hesitation, Qin Jinyang pointed precisely to Chu Hang below the stage.

"Yes, the important person here today is my boyfriend."

Tu Keke and Man Sui, who were squatting in front of the TV, emitted a sharp, explosive sound.

"Holy crap—"

This also shocked Yan Luo and the others.

Chu Hang, sitting in the audience, stared wide-eyed, somewhat incredulous. Qin Jinwen, sitting next to him, leaned in and whispered something in his ear.

"Xiao Hang, do you understand how much she loves you?"

...

Tu Yier had expended a lot of energy today, singing and dancing, and was already exhausted. In addition, she hadn't taken a nap after participating in activities with Yan Luo and Chi Miaomiao in the afternoon, and went to sleep with Shen Yulan after taking a shower.

After the New Year's Eve party, the family took showers, while Yanluo returned to the master bedroom, quickly finished her writing for the day, and wished her readers a Happy New Year.

It was past eleven o'clock when I came out of the master bedroom again.

The girls had all finished showering and were sitting on the sofa watching a movie, occasionally snacking.

Yanluo grabbed his clothes and went into the bathroom. He tied his hair up, put on a shower cap, turned on the shower, and the hot water sprayed over his body, washing away his fatigue. He reached out and wiped his face, then took a deep breath and exhaled a breath of stale air.

After showering, I left the bathroom and put my clothes on the balcony; I'll wash them later.

Squeezing between Su Qing and Chi Miaomiao, Yan Luo put his hand on their shoulders. Chi Miaomiao took a potato chip out of the bag and put it to Yan Luo's lips. He ate it with a smile.

It was almost midnight, so Tu Keke paused the movie and stood in front of the TV with Man Sui.

"Time to start the countdown!"

“10,”

"9,"

...

"3,2,1"

"Happy New Year!" everyone said. Fireworks were lit outside, followed by a few whooshing sounds and the sound of fireworks exploding.

Everyone ran to the balcony and saw the spectacular fireworks.

The colorful fireworks were absolutely beautiful.

Yanluo looked at the girls beside her and shouted to them as the fireworks exploded.

"Happy New Year!!"

The New Year's bells have rung, a new year has arrived, and the story continues. Though there may be twists and turns, the ending is always happy.

(Random thoughts after the end of Volume 1:)

It's been almost half a year since I started writing the book. In the middle of that, I was put in a dark room for a while. When I came out, I got some traffic, but it stopped after that, which resulted in the book not performing very well.

However, these are minor issues; as long as everyone enjoys watching.

The readers who have made it this far are generally quite accepting of these settings.

The first chapter always deters some readers because they can't accept Tu Yi. In my opinion, Tu Yi doesn't have any major problems. He didn't cheat or commit any serious offenses, yet he's disliked by new readers and they abandon the book. There are also some who criticize Yan Li, saying that Yan Li is love-struck and so on.

But I still want to say that feelings are such a wonderful thing. Even if there were problems or mistakes in the past, once you've fallen for someone, you won't care anymore, not to mention that neither of these two characters did anything wrong.

This is a question I'd really like to address.

This book will probably reach 900,000 to 1 million words. I want to try a multi-title experiment with a million words at that time to see if it can still bring me some traffic and make some money. More importantly, I want to see if I have the ability to write a million words.

Undoubtedly, this is a book that many authors would choose to abandon, but I won't. I promised many readers that I wouldn't stop updating. Unless something comes up, I will ask for leave and I will not abandon the book.

This book is like my child. Even if it's not perfect, I've raised it little by little with all my effort and time. I'm very grateful to everyone for liking it and accompanying me all this time.

I still have many shortcomings, such as writing skills and other hard issues, which I will continue to improve.

Thank you again everyone. See you tomorrow. I need to work on the rest of the plot.
