Yan Luo knew that once Su Qing and the old professor got into it, they wouldn't care about him, so they must not have eaten yet. On his way here, he passed by a dumpling restaurant and bought some dumplings with different fillings.
After knocking on the door of the old professor's private office and receiving permission, Yanluo went in carrying dumplings.
Su Qing looked at Yan Luo with surprise.
"Ayan!"
She then introduced the two of them. The old professor's name was Mo Yi, and he was an expert in the study of writing.
Mo Yi looked at Yan Luo with a smile.
"Hey classmate, you must be Xiao Su's boyfriend. You're quite the handsome guy."
Yanlu smiled.
"Teacher, you're too kind. I bought some dumplings. It's cold outside, so it's nice to have some dumplings. I wonder if they'll suit your taste?"
Mo Yi put down his pen, stood up, twisted his waist, and patted Su Qing's head.
"I'm from the North, and I enjoy eating dumplings."
"That's great." Yanluo placed the dumplings on the table beside her and opened the lids of several lunch boxes, instantly filling the entire office with the aroma of dumplings.
Yanlu handed the disassembled chopsticks to Moyi, and then brought the hot soup that the restaurant had prepared to the old professor.
"Come on, teacher, have some hot soup first."
Mo Yi smiled, nodded, and thanked him.
Su Qing sat next to the teacher and felt a warm feeling watching this scene. After placing the dipping sauce in front of the two of them, Yan Luo's task was considered complete.
Mo Yi took off his glasses, and his eyes were full of affection as he looked at Su Qing and Yan Luo, like a grandmother looking at her grandson-in-law.
Now in her seventies, Mo Yi has no children and has never married. She has devoted her life to the words she loves. Su Qing and Huang Jindie are her last students before she retires.
Once Su Qing graduates, she plans to retire and travel around.
Life is both long and short. Mo Yi has spent most of her life studying writing and has not yet seen the vast world. She has decided to put aside her passion and take a good walk, as a way of giving herself closure for the little life she has left.
"Xiao Su, you have a boyfriend who cares about you a lot."
Seeing Yanluo busy with all the work, Mo Yi was genuinely happy for Su Qing.
Su Qing shyly lowered her head and ate her dumplings, not daring to look at the teacher or Yan Luo.
With nothing else to do, Yan Luo looked around and saw the notes on the table where Su Qing and Mo Yi had been sitting. He stood in front of the table and started reading.
Seeing that Yanluo seemed quite interested, Moyi explained to him the content that she and Su Qing had been translating and compiling during this period.
The letter was said to be written by the owner of a close friend who was advising him against having any ideas about immortality. The content was pretty much the same, which made Yanluo fall into deep thought.
Is it really possible to achieve immortality?
Since ancient times, when people reach the peak of their power, they will begin to pursue immortality. Whether it was the emperors of ancient times or the powerful and wealthy, they would all want to live forever in order to keep what they have.
Yanluo wants to stay with everyone forever, so he has some thoughts about immortality. If given the chance, Yanluo also wants to achieve immortality with his family.
But if he were the only one who could achieve immortality, he would rather not have it.
Immortality for one person is too lonely.
After finishing their dumplings, Yanluo and Suqing said goodbye to Moyi and left. Moyi stood by the window, watching Yanluo carefully open the passenger door for Suqing downstairs and shield her from the car to prevent her from bumping her head. Moyi watched it all.
"They're so loving."
As the car drove away, Mo Yi turned around to tidy up her notes, then slung her bag over her shoulder, preparing to go back to her dorm to take a hot shower, read for a while, drink a cup of hot milk, and then go to sleep.
Years of this kind of life made Mo Yi feel extremely lonely. Only when she was studying the text could she stop thinking so much, which further strengthened her idea of traveling after retirement.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Su Qing felt a little tired and fell asleep soon after. Yan Luo didn't wake her. When they got home, he gently carried the light-weight girl into his arms.
When they reached the second floor, Tu Yier came up to greet them and found that her aunt was asleep. She gestured for her sister and aunts to be quiet, and her cute appearance made Yan Luo smile.
Yanluo gently took off Su Qing's coat, covered her with a blanket, and then left the room.
Tu Keke stood smiling at the door of the master bedroom. Yan Luo could tell from the girl's appearance that nothing good was going on.
"Uncle, my feet are a little cold. You're not going to cheat me, are you?"
Yanluo reached out and pinched the little golden retriever's cheek.
"Alright, alright, go sit down."
Tu Keke chuckled and skipped over to the sofa, her golden pigtails bouncing with her movements.
Yanluo went to the storage room on the third floor and took out a large red round basin, which was perfect for everyone to soak their feet in, as it would be beneficial for the girls.
After filling the bathroom with hot water, Yanluo placed the large round basin in front of the television and brought over a few small stools.
"Let's all take a soak."
Tu Keke flashed and sat down on a small stool, raising her noble feet, which were wearing a pair of white socks.
"Come here, little Luo Zi, I will allow you to take it off for me."
Yan Luo's lips twitched slightly. Due to the bet, he had no choice but to silently accept the reward.
The whole family sat in front of the TV, soaking their feet and watching a comedy movie, laughing out loud from time to time. They looked very happy and warm.
After soaking for a while, Tu Keke raised her elegant feet, glistening water droplets dripping from her fair skin.
"Little Luo!"
Yanluo gritted her teeth as she dried Tu Keke's feet, then dried Tu Yier's feet, and then dried everyone else's feet as well.
Teacher Xin, sitting in front of the computer, was incredibly envious of him. Such a punishment should just kill Teacher Xin!

Su Qing woke up around 10 o'clock and ran into Tu Yier and Bai Ningbing, who were on their way to bed.
Tu Yier didn't take a nap today; she was exhausted.
Upon seeing that her aunt had woken up, Tu Yier happily rushed into Su Qing's arms, sweetly calling her "Auntie."
Su Qing, who was a little groggy after waking up, felt her heart melt. She kissed Tu Yier's little face and listened to Tu Yier's cheerful laughter, feeling all the fatigue of the day disappear.
The little guy went to sleep with his fox aunt, and Su Qing took the clothes that Yan Luo had packed and went into the bathroom to take a bath.
Yan Luo sat back down next to Chi Miaomiao, her mind replaying the contents of the letter that Mo Yi had mentioned.
The letter mentioned clues about the secret to immortality in the Western Regions, which made Yan Luo very concerned. Shang Xinci, who was sitting next to Yan Luo, noticed that he looked a little strange and asked, "What are you thinking about?"
Yan Luo snapped out of her daze and quickly shook her head, only to have her cheek pinched by Chi Miaomiao.
"Brother, you're not good at lying, so are you going to keep secrets from us too?"
