After mentally adjusting himself, Pei Xingzhi quickly packed his things and continued working on the assignments he had missed over the past few days. He could put Xie Nanyi's matter aside for now; he needed to finish his own work first.
Having had his group assignments taken over for the entire semester last year, Pei Xingzhi tried to resist but with little success. At the start of this semester, he applied to the teacher to be able to form his own group. The teacher initially disagreed; as a Beta, he shouldn't have such privileges, even if everyone else did nothing.
When the teacher refused, Pei Xingzhi rebelled through his actions. During the first group experiment check, Pei Xingzhi directly deleted the names of several other Omegas from the system. Because time was too tight, even after the teacher chased them to the academic affairs office, they were unable to make up for the points lost by those Omegas.
No matter how justified Pei Xingzhi's actions were, the Beta's provocation of the Omega was still an unforgivable mistake. The incident ended with Pei Xingzhi having his scholarship for the semester deducted. The teacher was also forced to agree to Pei Xingzhi's request to work alone in a group, but did not reduce his workload as he did for the others.

Furthermore, this isn't his primary focus, and the teacher can't influence his other courses. While the school doesn't particularly care about Betas, they still need to maintain appearances, especially since he's the school's Beta student representative. Any comments he makes in the media could have a negative impact on the school. Therefore, the teacher's attitude towards him won't affect his overall evaluation.
The only mistake he made in this conflict was probably escalating the tension between AOs and Betas at school. That wasn't his intention, but some Betas deliberately fanned the flames, turning this personal conflict into a gender antagonism.
"If you want to condemn someone, you can always find a pretext." No matter how much Pei Xingzhi denies it, he cannot change the attitude of the Alphas and Omegas towards him.
Alphas and Omegas both dislike him. With most of the decision-makers for important university events being Alphas, Pei Xingzhi is always assigned the most thankless and difficult tasks.

He was still in the hospital receiving treatment when he received his father's message.
