Xie Nanyi's voice rang out softly from behind the two of them. Zhuang Xiaoyue, who had been listless just moments before, immediately perked up. Pei Xingzhi tried with all his might but couldn't stop her from sliding towards Xie Nanyi.
"What happened between you two! How come Pei Xingzhi is being made to take responsibility?" Zhuang Xiaoyue's words were righteous and indignant, if it weren't for his gossipy gaze constantly shifting between the two of them.
"Xiao Zhi and I were just now... um—"
Xie Nanyi had barely begun to speak when Pei Xingzhi rushed in from the doorway, covered Xie Nanyi's mouth, and swiftly led him out. Zhuang Xiaoyue tried to verbally stop him, but the two had already vanished before she could even open her mouth.

Upon seeing Pei Xingzhi, Zhuang Xiaoyue threw the iron gate behind her and ran towards him, wailing.
"Pei Xingzhi! Is your club president out of his mind?! It wasn't me who broke the iron gate, yet he's insisting I pay for it. Isn't this blatant extortion?!"
Pei Xingzhi caught Zhuang Xiaoyue, who was running towards him crying, and the iron gate she threw landed squarely on the club president. The club president was an Alpha, and out of instinct, he used a little too much force when catching the gate, accidentally leaving a fist mark on it.

Upon seeing the familiar iron gate, Pei Xingzhi subconsciously turned around and exchanged a glance with Xie Nanyi. Under Pei Xingzhi's strong urging, Xie Nanyi finally stepped forward.

Pei Xingzhi forced a smile, and Zhuang Xiaoyue tugged at his sleeve, signaling him to hurry up and come with her. Pei Xingzhi couldn't feel the two Alphas together, but he felt extremely uncomfortable.
