Lin Yang spent a day at home calming down, and then regretted it.
How can the mission of having an affair between Xu Chengzhi and Lu Xiangxi continue, given how awkward she's made things between them?
Are we going to be stuck here?
But she couldn't possibly agree to Xu Chengzhi's request, could she?
Thinking about the original owner's tragic end, Lin Yang couldn't help but shudder.
Ugh, we're at a stalemate. How annoying.
How should the mission proceed?
Filming has been suspended again recently, so I can't even try to distract myself.
Fortunately, the filming hiatus allowed me to avoid running into Xu Chengzhi, otherwise it would have been even more awkward.
Just when Lin Yang was at her wit's end and didn't know what to do, Mr. Ex, who hadn't summoned her for a long time, suddenly called her.
"Hello? What's up, sir?" Lin Yang wasn't in a good mood and didn't want to beat around the bush with this sugar daddy.
"Come out and keep me company so I can relax." Mr. Ex seemed to be in a bad mood as well, stating his purpose directly.
"Okay, sure." Without saying much, Lin Yang agreed to his request.
Since she was in a bad mood anyway, it would be a good opportunity to go for a walk together to clear her head.
After the call ended, Mr. Ex quickly sent an address.
"..." Lin Yang remained silent after reading the address.
amusement park...
Are you sure you didn't send it to the wrong address?
Mr. Ex wearing a mask and playing in the amusement park in broad daylight—it's a truly beautiful sight.
So, with a very skeptical attitude, Lin Yang sent another question mark.
After waiting for a while without seeing Mr. Ex return, and fearing she would be late, she quickly tidied herself up and took a taxi towards the amusement park.
*
They agreed to meet at the entrance of the amusement park.
Lin Yang didn't need to look for him deliberately, because Mr. Ex, wearing a mask, was simply too eye-catching in the crowd.
The dazzling sunlight shone down on him, and the masked man gave the impression of being born to blend into darkness.
In reality, he was under the sunlight, bathed in its warmth, yet strangely, he didn't feel out of place.
With just one glance, his dark eyes beneath the mask recognized Lin Yang from the crowd. With one hand in his pocket, he lazily beckoned to her with the other, signaling her to come over.
As if bewitched, Lin Yang would obediently follow in his direction with just a flick of his finger.
Lin Yang walked briskly to Mr. Ex, but when she was two steps away, she slowed down and unconsciously ran her hand through her hair.
"Are you thirsty?" That was the first thing Mr. Ex asked.
Lin Yang swallowed hard, then shook her head with a smile and lied, "It's alright."
“I’ve bought the tickets. I’m a little thirsty, come with me to buy a drink.” Mr. Ex took two tickets out of his pocket, held them between two fingers, and handed them to Lin Yang. “Keep these safe for now.”
Lin Yang obediently accepted it, but her gaze fell on Mr. Ex's hand.
The back of his hand was smooth and clean, with no trace of scars.
Lin Yang looked at it carefully several more times, confirming that the hand that had just handed over the ticket was her right hand, the same hand that she had clearly seen with the added old scars last time.
How could it have suddenly disappeared?
strangeness.
Could it be that she really misread it that day?
After putting the ticket in his bag, Mr. Ex had already walked a distance away, but Lin Yang was still standing there, lost in thought.
"Aren't you leaving yet?" Mr. Ex stopped and turned around, seeing that the person behind him was still standing in the same spot.
"They're here." Lin Yang snapped out of her thoughts and jogged after them.
Mr. Ex waited until Lin Yang came to his side before he started walking again.
The distance her long legs took was also shortened consciously to accommodate Lin Yang.
