In the car, Lin Yang sat stiffly, unsure of what to do with her hands and feet.
She glanced to her left out of the corner of her eye and saw Xu Chengzhi staring intently at her profile.
She looked away out of the corner of her eye and glanced to her right. Xiao Zheng was excitedly touching the seat cushion on his left and the car window on his right.
Well, despite all her calculations, Lin Yang hadn't anticipated that Ms. Song would be so distrustful of her.
She was so worried that she'd rather have Xiao Zheng be the third wheel than not keep an eye on her.
Xiao Zheng, that simpleton, is bound to be a major obstacle in her escape plan!
This made her escape plan even more difficult!
"Brother Xu, oops, Uncle! Your car is a newly released limited edition, right? There's only one in the world. The feel of it is different from ordinary cars!" While touching it, Xiao Zheng also flattered Xu Chengzhi.
"It's alright, it's not as good as the wedding car I'll be using to pick up Yangyang," Xu Chengzhi said casually.
"The wedding car is even better than a limited edition!!" Xiao Zheng's eyes lit up upon hearing this, and he rubbed his hands together expectantly. "Uncle-in-law, could I...?"
"I'll do whatever Yangyang says." Xu Chengzhi rested his chin on his hand, his gaze unwilling to leave Lin Yang for even a second, despite his tiredness.
"Auntie~" Xiao Zheng looked at Lin Yang expectantly and began to act cute like a tough guy online.
"Hehe." Lin Yang smiled faintly and uttered a single word, "Get lost."
Xiao Zheng not only doesn't know how to help her, but now he's actively pushing her into a fire pit!
Want to touch the wedding car?
Dream on! Once she successfully runs away today, all that wedding car stuff will be nothing but a pipe dream!
"..." Xiao Zheng felt wronged, but he didn't say anything!
Along the way, the three of them each had their own thoughts. Lin Yang remained silent, while Xiao Zheng occasionally chimed in.
Xu Chengzhi would either pay attention to him or leave him to his own devices depending on his mood.
Before I knew it, the car slowed down and came to a stop in front of a high-end jewelry store.
Lin Yang thought for a long time, but still couldn't come up with a way to successfully escape from under the noses of Xu Chengzhi and Xiao Zheng.
Feeling frustrated, Lin Yang got off the bus, thinking she'd just have to take it one step at a time.
Upon entering the store, the staff were very welcoming.
Xu Chengzhi must have given prior notice, because the shop assistant took Lin Yang directly to the counter where Xu Chengzhi had sent the pictures.
Beneath the transparent glass, exquisitely designed diamond rings sparkled.
"Ms. Lin, please take your time looking around. If you find a few that you like, I can explain the meaning or story behind them to you." The sales assistant stood gracefully beside the glass display case, maintaining an elegant smile.
"Okay, thank you," Lin Yang replied to the shop assistant.
I glanced down and my eyes were irritated by the glare.
Even if the diamond ring is beautiful, she has no interest in carefully selecting it.
Xu Chengzhi watched her choose a diamond ring with burning eyes, while Xiao Zheng picked out earrings he liked at another glass counter.
It's an opportunity.
"This one will do, let's see if they have my size." Lin Yang casually pointed to a relatively large one in the glass display case.
The shop assistant bent down and carefully took the diamond ring out of the glass case for her.
Just as he was about to put it on her to check the size, Lin Yang's brows were about to furrow when Xu Chengzhi spoke first.
"Give it to her, I'll put it on her." With just one glance, Xu Chengzhi could determine whether the ring was the right size for Lin Yang.
The sales clerk withdrew his hand and obediently presented the diamond ring with both hands.
Lin Yang was stunned.
She was about to squeezing out tears to pretend she had a stomachache when you fucking told me that Xu Chengzhi was going to put it on me personally.
Damn, her acting skills have never been hidden from Xu Chengzhi!
