Chu Yu hesitated, looking like he didn't want to say it.
Lin Yang grew impatient, her curiosity fully piqued. "Tell me quickly!"
"I just overheard Director Zheng telling someone that you got into 'Dynasties' entirely because of Mr. Ex's request." Urged on, Chu Yu had no choice but to say what he had just heard.
Lin Yang was stunned.
Does Zheng Linzhou know Mr. Ex?
She was able to get the lead role in "Dynasties" not because of her own ability, but because Mr. Axe asked her to.
"What nonsense are you talking about? How could Mr. Ex and Director Zheng possibly know each other?" Lin Yang refused to believe Chu Yu's one-sided story.
“It’s true, I heard it with my own ears. He also said that Tang Guoqing’s bankruptcy was related to Mr. Ex, and that he wanted to replace you halfway through, but was also threatened by Mr. Ex.” Chu Yu then recounted everything he had heard, and every word was true.
"So, Lin Yang, do you and Mr. Ex really have that kind of relationship?" Chu Yu continued to ask curiously.
His eyes didn't fall on Lin Yang's lips as they opened and closed, but instead secretly glanced at the approaching dark figure.
“I have nothing to do with him.” Lin Yang noticed the direction of Chu Yu’s gaze, pondered for a moment, and then suddenly changed her mind, “Well, I do have something to do with him, and it’s not just like what’s reported.”
The dark figure stopped, casting a shadow over Chu Yu. He pretended not to notice, "Sister Lin, this isn't a good idea. It's best to break it off sooner rather than later, otherwise Brother Xu will be unhappy. I'm a man, I know how Brother Xu feels. This is the last thing a man can tolerate."
"Chu Yu, you've dirtied my chair." Xu Chengzhi stood in front of Chu Yu and spoke quietly.
He must have heard what Lin Yang said, but he didn't mention it. Instead, he focused on the location.
Chu Yu thought Xu Chengzhi would get angry, and that the two might quarrel and divorce, causing the wedding to fall through, giving him a chance to get closer to Lin Yang.
To everyone's surprise, Xu Chengzhi didn't care about this at all.
They even thought he was dirty.
Chu Yu suppressed her embarrassment, slowly raised her head, and pretended to only then notice Xu Chengzhi's arrival. "Brother Xu, I just wanted to talk to Sister Lin. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ruin your relationship. I'm really sorry."
It has to be said that Chu Yu's acting skills have improved; the apologetic expression on his face was actually quite realistic.
Lin Yang watched Chu Yu's performance as if she were an outsider, simply enjoying the show.
It's strange, though. Xu Chengzhi was standing a little in front of her when she said those words on purpose, so he should have heard them clearly.
Why is there no reaction at all?
Lin Yang couldn't help but suspect that Xu Chengzhi might not be hearing well; it seemed that as people got older, they were more prone to having problems all over the place.
"Get up." Xu Chengzhi was too lazy to listen to Chu Yu's explanation.
A dark glint flashed in Chu Yu's eyes, but seeing Xu Chengzhi's attitude, he didn't say anything more.
After all, given his status, how could he possibly offend the heir of the prestigious Xu family?
Fortunately, he achieved his goal.
Even if Xu Chengzhi doesn't seem to care about Lin Yang's words on the surface, there must still be a thorn in his heart.
Chu Yu stood up, a slight smile playing on his lips, and silently left Xu Chengzhi's seat.
Xu Chengzhi said that it was dirty for Chu Yu to sit in his seat.
As soon as the person left, he sat down again without even brushing off the dust.
"Where's your diamond ring?" He asked, noticing that Lin Yang's hands were bare.
"It's too conspicuous, I was afraid someone would steal it, so I put it away." Lin Yang turned her head away guiltily.
What do you mean by being afraid of being stolen from? It's just that you don't want anyone to know, okay?
"Wear it next time, I'm afraid someone will steal it."
