"Senior Wen... Senior Wen is dead? Which Senior Wen?" Lin Yang stammered, unable to believe what she was hearing.
Ding Zhong couldn't help but scoff at Lin Yang's surprised reaction. "Sister Lin, are you playing dumb with me again? Which Senior Wen are you talking about? In the entire crew, besides Wen Yuli, who else is Senior Wen?"
"No, what do you mean? What do you mean by pretending to be confused when you know the truth? Can you explain yourself clearly?" Lin Yang's temper flared up immediately.

Ding Zhong disregarded Lin Yang's status as a senior and the daughter of the Lin family, and bluntly said, "I saw it with my own eyes. That time you helped Senior Wen up, you even poured out all of his nitroglycerin pills!"
As soon as he said this, everyone's eyes fell on Lin Yang, including Xiao Zheng.
"You're mistaken. I didn't pour out all his nitroglycerin pills. He only had six pills left that day, and I even reminded him to go buy more!" Lin Yang explained loudly, despite the pressure from the stares around her.
“I saw it with my own eyes, how could it be fake? There was only an empty medicine bottle on Senior Wen’s body! And…” Ding Zhong’s lips curled into a barely perceptible smile, he paused and continued, “And the diamond necklace that Senior Wen always wore around his neck was gone. Do you still dare to say that Senior Wen’s death has nothing to do with you?”
"The necklace is missing, what does that have to do with me? Are you trying to force the blame onto me?" Lin Yang felt that this reason was too far-fetched.
"It has nothing to do with you? Everyone in the crew knows that on Senior Wen's first day on set, you specifically asked about the necklace. Your eyes never left that necklace. We all saw it with our own eyes. How dare you say it has nothing to do with you?" Ding Zhong changed his usual demeanor and became aggressive in every word.
A few people started gossiping among the onlookers, and some even nodded in agreement with Ding Zhong's analysis.
"So what? I did take a few extra glances at Senior Wen's necklace that day, but that was just out of curiosity about its origin. How did that get connected to Senior Wen's death?" Lin Yang glared at those who took sides without knowing the truth.

"Xu...Brother Xu." When Ding Zhong saw Xu Chengzhi protecting Lin Yang behind him, his voice sounded a bit guilty as he called out to him.
Xu Chengzhi's imposing aura was so strong that Ding Zhong couldn't lift his head with just a sharp glance. "What were you just spreading rumors about my woman? I didn't quite hear you. Say it again? Hmm?"
He had a half-smile, a deep abyss hidden in his eyes.
Ding Zhong lowered his head further and further, trembling as he dared not answer.
Just then, a large group of strangers arrived. "Who is Lin Yang?"
When the onlookers saw the uniforms and badges worn by the group of people, they instinctively made way for them.
Lin Yang was thus exposed to the sight of that group of people.
