Chapter 208

That box, about half a person's height...

The things inside were all that stuff!

With a "snap," Lin Yang slammed the cardboard box shut, her ears burning red.

"What's wrong, Yangyang?" Xu Chengzhi came over when he heard the voice and walked behind Lin Yang to ask her.

"No...it's nothing." Lin Yang pressed hard on the lid of the cardboard box, her cheeks flushed as she denied it.

Was Mr. Ex sending her this kind of thing to compete with Xu Chengzhi in who was more flirtatious?

However, upon quick glance, it seems there was a note inside, probably containing some witty remarks.

"Okay, then I won't watch anymore. I'll go get you a bucket so you can soak your feet. You've had a long day, so wait for me." Xu Chengzhi didn't press further, but instead thoughtfully suggested that he give Lin Yang a foot bath.

"No...no need..." Before Lin Yang could finish speaking, Xu Chengzhi walked towards the door on his own.

"Click—" The door closed.

"Sigh." Lin Yang sighed, slowly turning her head back, her gaze returning to the half-person-high cardboard box.

Never mind, let's see what he wrote.

Ultimately, he couldn't resist his curiosity.

Lin Yang opened the cardboard box again, but didn't dare to look at what was inside. She turned her head away and fumbled for the note.

The note was located above those things; you could reach it with a simple touch.

She took it out and unfolded the neatly folded strip of paper.

The unruly and unrestrained words are revealed, both strange and familiar.

This handwriting...it seems familiar, but where have I seen it before?

"Hiss." Lin Yang had never seen Mr. Ex's handwriting before, but it looked vaguely familiar.

I thought about it for a long time, but I still had no idea where to start.

Never mind, I guess the original owner's body recognized the handwriting.

Lin Yang gave up exploring the incomplete memories and fixed her eyes on the paper.

"This is the greatest tolerance I can show you. Enjoy yourself and take care of yourself." Just two simple sentences.

Just by looking at these words, Lin Yang could imagine Mr. Ex's tone and mood at the time.

So, does he think that the generous gift he's given to her, the gift that makes him feel like he's being cuckolded, is a box of BYT?

It was a box half a person's height, and Lin Yang didn't dare to count how many of these things were inside.

I'm afraid I won't even finish using it before menopause?

She was so focused on what she was seeing that she didn't even notice when Xu Chengzhi came in.

Xu Chengzhi gently set down the foot bath tub and quietly walked behind Lin Yang.

I was going to suggest she go for a foot bath to relax, but then I saw the words on the note.

It's so eye-catching, it's hard not to notice it.

"Thanks, but it's not necessary." Xu Chengzhi reached over Lin Yang's head, snatched the note, and glanced disdainfully at the contents of the cardboard box.

"You...when did you come in?" Lin Yang was startled and turned around, her blush still lingering on her face.

"Just now." Xu Chengzhi crumpled the note in his hand into a ball, tossed it behind him, and it went smoothly into the trash can.

"Why did you throw it away?" Lin Yang pouted and scolded him.

"Why keep it?" Xu Chengzhi asked.

There was a strong smell of vinegar in the air.

Lin Yang smelled it and deliberately covered her nose exaggeratedly, "It's so sour! Didn't someone say 'who cares' when they agreed to let me bring this thing back?"

"You're mistaken. What I said was, I care a lot." Xu Chengzhi lied without batting an eye.

"Oh, really? I don't remember?" Lin Yang lowered her hand from her nose and playfully stuck out her tongue.

Xu Chengzhi wrapped his arms around Lin Yang's neck, pulling her into his embrace, and together they walked towards the foot bath tub by the bed.

"It's late, time to soak your feet and rest."
