Lin Yang was bothered by mosquitoes all night and barely slept.
As soon as I boarded the plane, I dozed off, pulled the blanket over my head, and fell asleep without even knowing who was sitting next to me.
"Wake up, Lin Yang." It sounded like someone was calling her in her sleep.
Lin Yang's head had somehow ended up on the shoulder of the person next to her, and she was leaning on it quite comfortably.
She snuggled closer, didn't open her eyes, and went back to sleep.
She didn't know how long she had slept, but her neck was stiff, and her head tilted down in a daze as she tried to find a more comfortable position, her body unconsciously pressing closer together.
Just as Lin Yang was about to get closer, someone stuck out a finger and pressed it against her forehead, blocking her way.
Lin Yang tried to lift her eyelids, which were so heavy with sleep, several times, but finally managed to open them, and a blinding light shone in.
The person in front of her was backlit, and Lin Yang rubbed her eyes several times before she could see clearly what the person who was pressing their finger against her forehead looked like.
With bright eyes and sharp eyebrows, her features are well-defined and three-dimensional. But those thin lips... if she could curl them up a little and reveal a charming smile, wouldn't her looks be even better?
She's quite pretty, but she looks kind of familiar.
Lin Yang, who had been chuckling to herself, suddenly stopped laughing after focusing her gaze on the man's face several times.
Isn't that Xu Chengzhi with his lips drooping and unable to bend?
"Did you get enough sleep?" Xu Chengzhi asked, his lips moving as he uttered the question.
Lin Yang was a little dazed, her mind not quite processing what he meant, but she actually nodded in agreement, "Mm."
Xu Chengzhi withdrew his finger from her forehead and pointed to his own shoulder instead.
Lin Yang's gaze was drawn to his fingertips, and she mechanically turned her head, her eyes following his shoulder.
The spot where she had just slept was still covered in glistening drool, with strands of it dripping down.
Where's the shovel? It's time to dig a hole and bury myself.
This is fucking humiliating!
Is Xu Chengzhi's shoulder really that comfortable to sleep on? Lin Yang, can you be any more dignified?! Falling asleep on his shoulder is one thing, but drooling on it is another!
"I...I'm sorry, I'll clean it for you." Lin Yang's face turned bright red with shame, and she stammered as she spoke.
She was talking to him with her head tilted back, and the moment she looked up, all the red envelopes around her neck fell into Xu Chengzhi's view.
Xu Chengzhi was about to say "it's nothing" but swallowed it back, his face unconsciously turning gloomy. "Miss Lin is really an open-minded person."
For some reason, all he could think about now was the scene from that night.
Her allure, her initiative, and the large red spots on her neck the next day.
It's only been a few days! How come she has so many red spots on her neck again?
I'm inexplicably annoyed.
"What does drooling have to do with being open-minded?" Lin Yang was completely confused by Xu Chengzhi's words.
"Heh, they didn't even bother to cover themselves up." Xu Chengzhi withdrew his gaze and scoffed.
"What am I supposed to cover up?" Lin Yang looked down at her long pants and long sleeves. "If I keep covering up, I'll get heatstroke, okay?"
"Then why were you covering up so much when you were with me last time? Was it that embarrassing to be with me?" Xu Chengzhi recalled hearing about how Lin Yang covered up the red spots on her neck on set, and he was immediately furious.
Hearing this, Lin Yang understood.
"Are you sick? I was bitten by mosquitoes all night. What were you thinking?" Lin Yang looked down at the still red and swollen bumps.
"..." Xu Chengzhi remained silent.
An awkward silence filled the air.
For the rest of the journey, he didn't say a word to Lin Yang, his face dark and grim.
