Lin Yang and Xu Chengzhi inexplicably started a cold war.
When filming, they can act intimately in the scene for the sake of work. As soon as the director yells "cut," the two of them will immediately separate without saying a word.
Lin Yang ordered takeout for lunch on set.
It was clearly her favorite boiled pork slices, but she picked and chose with her chopsticks without taking a bite.
It's been five days, and Xu Chengzhi hasn't spoken to her for five days.
Lin Yang silently counted down the time in her mind, looking at the dishes with their fragrant red oil, but she couldn't muster any appetite at all.
I've had this evidence in my hands for five days now. The Weibo big V who broke the news has urged me more than once to ask when the recording will be released.
She just made excuses, saying, "Wait, let's wait a little longer."
Lin Yang didn't know what she was waiting for.
Lu Xiangxi's answer from that day still echoed in my ears, "Of course I know him. In the entire industry, who doesn't know Brother Xu?"
Given the ambiguous response, Lin Yang didn't press the matter further.
Ugh, so annoying.
Lin Yang stirred the chopsticks, but accidentally used too much force, causing red oil to splatter and land on the white ancient costume she hadn't taken off yet.
Oh no, this was custom-made for the film crew!
Lin Yang hurriedly grabbed a few sheets of paper from the table to wipe away the oil stains, but her wide sleeves accidentally caught on the boiled pork slices in the takeout box, and a bowl of scalding hot red oil spilled down.
"Ah—" Lin Yang exclaimed in surprise, unable to dodge in time.
The expected scalding heat didn't land on her; Lin Yang's skin remained at a normal temperature. Her eyes widened involuntarily as she was surprised to see a dark figure in front of her shielding her from the heat.
"Chu Yu!" Lu Xiangxi exclaimed in surprise upon discovering this scene as soon as she stepped onto the set to visit the crew.
"Quickly! Call 120!"
"Oh my god! What happened?"
"Quickly! Go help! What are you all standing around for?"
All eyes on the set turned to her, creating a chaotic and agitated atmosphere, much like when she fell from her horse.
The incident happened so suddenly that Lin Yang was still stunned. She was shielded by Chu Yu and dared not move. "Chu...Chu Yu, are you alright?"
Her voice trembled uncontrollably; she dared not imagine the extent of Chu Yu's injuries.
Amidst the surrounding noise, I vaguely heard that Chu Yu's back was covered in red oil, the soup having seeped through his clothes.
"It's good that you're alright..." Chu Yu forced a relieved smile onto his pale face despite his injuries, avoiding Lin Yang's question.
Your body doesn't lie.
He braced himself with both hands on the ground, keeping Lin Yang unharmed and holding her firmly in place. His forehead was covered in sweat, and one of his beads gave way, slamming against the ground with the force of the impact, passing over Lin Yang's face.
Before Lin Yang could accuse him of lying, several people hurriedly carried Chu Yu away.
The shadow that had been hanging over us disappeared, leaving only an invisible mass of air that made us feel empty.
"Sister Lin, are you alright? Did you get burned?" Duan Tiantian, who was helping Lin Yang get her things, rushed over after hearing the commotion.
"It's okay, I'm fine." Lin Yang shook her head mechanically, her thoughts drifting away to Chu Yu, who was injured for her sake.
Duan Tiantian was worried, so she pulled her up from the ground and checked her over from head to toe, inside and out, before finally letting out a sigh of relief.
"Lin Yang." Someone else had appeared behind Duan Tiantian.
Duan Tiantian turned to the side, and Lin Yang could see that the person who came was Lu Xiangxi.
"Lin Yang, Sister Lin, I'm so glad you're alright." Lu Xiangxi was holding back. Because of Lin Yang's status and position, she didn't lose her temper and slap her. Instead, she came to check on her.
Lin Yang's mind was still blank. She couldn't hear more than a few words and didn't notice that Lu Xiangxi's right hand was clenched into a fist and trembling.
"Sweetie, take me to the hospital, I need to see Chu Yu." Lin Yang grabbed Duan Tiantian, her legs feeling weak.
"Okay, Sister Lin, I'll take you there. Don't rush." Duan Tiantian comforted Lin Yang while helping her leave.
Lu Xiangxi stood still, a fierce glint in her eyes.
Lin Yang, one day I will trample you under my feet.

Unfortunately, no one noticed that as Xu Chengzhi walked away dejectedly, the phone screen in his hand was shattered, and his other hand was covered in red grease.
Beneath the red oil were blisters from the scalding.
