Chapter 94

The crew members hurriedly carried their equipment back to the hotel, just as a torrential downpour poured down from above the dark clouds.

The downpour arrived as expected. Xiao Zheng stood in the hotel lobby, patting off the few drops of rainwater that had soaked him, and said to the person next to him, "Aunt, thank goodness we made it back in time, otherwise we would have been soaked to the bone, don't you think?"

Turning his head, he saw that the person standing next to him was not Lin Yang, but Chu Yu gazing into the distance.

"How come it's you? Where's my aunt?" Xiao Zheng searched the hotel lobby thoroughly.

As he searched, his exclamation arose again, "Where has Brother Xu gone too?"

There were still piles of straw left over from the afternoon's filming in the cave. Lin Yang picked some out, spread them out, and lay down there.

With her head resting on her arm, she was positioned directly opposite the cave entrance, where rain was pouring down, almost forming a small waterfall along the cave opening.

As the rain continued to fall, the sky seemed unsatisfied and whipped up a strong wind, bringing torrential rain that pounded into the cave.

The entrance to the cave was uneven, and soon several small puddles accumulated.

The location where Lin Yang was lying was low-lying, and rainwater flowed down the slope, much of it reaching the straw under which Lin Yang had laid out.

The dry straw quickly became soaked, staining Lin Yang's back and making him feel very uncomfortable.

She squeezed in, but the cave was narrow, and no matter how hard she tried, she reached the bottom.

So Lin Yang simply lay on his side with his back to the cave entrance, listening to the sound of raindrops hitting the ground, and staring blankly at the cave walls out of boredom.

As I watched, my eyelids started to droop, and I kept yawning.

Finally, unable to hold on any longer, he fell asleep in such an environment.

Lin Yang had another dream.

She dreamed of the little boy again, a mini version of Xu Chengzhi.

They were in an old house, with a torrential downpour outside, just like today. Every now and then, a few flashes of lightning would streak across the sky, followed by a deafening clap of thunder.

As thunder rumbled, the miniature version of Xu Chengzhi trembled with fear, covering his ears and frantically hiding in the closet.

The wardrobe was tightly closed, but thankfully there was a small gap that allowed the miniature Xu Chengzhi to breathe.

"Young Master, please come out! You've been inside for half an hour, how can you stay like this!" Several maids surrounded the cabinet door, urging Xu Chengzhi to come out.

"Get out! Get out of here!" Xu Chengzhi was unwilling to expose his fear to these people. He would rather tremble and struggle to breathe in the closet than open it and go out.

"Young master, the master specifically instructed us to take good care of you before he left on his long journey. If anything happens to you, we won't be able to explain it to the master!" the maid continued to persuade.

"Are you all deaf? Get out! Get out!" The mini version of Xu Chengzhi hugged himself tightly in the confined closet, roaring hysterically.

"Little Orange, why are you so fierce? You've been naughty again!" A cute and playful girl's voice rang out, instantly calming the irritable one in the closet.

"..." The mini version of Xu Chengzhi asked tentatively, with a hint of uncertainty, "Is that you, Yangyang?"

"In this world, besides me, who else dares to call you that? Little Orange!" In the dream, Lin Yang was tiny, wearing a gorgeous princess dress and with her hair in an adorable bun. She was invited over by the maids in a childish voice.

Lin Yang guessed that the dream, which involved no injuries, must have occurred before the fire.

"Yangyang, can you help me kick them out? I just want you to stay with me..." The mini version of Xu Chengzhi leaned against the inside of the wardrobe, his voice tinged with weariness.

"Okay." Xiao Lin Yang nodded obediently, then turned to the maids surrounding her, "Sisters, please go out first. Don't worry, I'll stay with Xiao Chengzi!"

The maids all looked at the head maid, and only after she nodded did they slowly disperse.

Only when you're far away do people dare to gossip in secret.

"The young master is really pitiful. He is so young, and both his parents died in a car accident. No wonder his emotions have changed so much now."

"Keep your voice down, do you want to quit?"
