Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Nie Wuhen picked up a chair and sat in front of Cassel. He looked him up and down for a long time before saying, "Answer whatever I ask, and don't lie."

Cassel had lost his magic power and didn't dare to say anything. He could only nod nervously. He didn't understand when those demons would be willing to take him out of this illusion. Although these people are fake, he is still afraid of pain. What if he gets beaten?

The more he thought about it, the more pitiful he felt. The little tentacles on his forehead drooped, even his eyelids were drooping, and his rosy lips were almost white from being bitten by him.

Nie Wuhen suddenly felt like he was scolding his son. He frowned, threw away the ridiculous thoughts in his mind, and said: "What's your name?"

Cassel whispered, "Cassel."

Nie Wuhen thought he had heard it wrong: "What?"

Cassel repeated loudly.

Nie Wuhen sneered: "How dare you lie?"

Cassel was confused: "I don't have one! My name is Cassel!"

"There's no such surname in the world. If you want to make up a name, you should at least make it more decent. Who are you trying to fool with the surname Ka?"

"I don't!" Cassel didn't allow others to comment on his name, which was given to him by Barbatos. "My name is Cassel! If you dare, tell me what your name is?"

Nie Wuhen just felt a headache.

At this moment, Bai Yi pushed the door open and walked in. Seeing this scene, he said to Nie Wuhen without thinking: "Brother, it's just a name. It's not like you'll lose a piece of meat."

Nie Wuhen glanced at him, then set his eyes on Cassel, who was about to cry due to grievance, and said word by word: "Nie. Wu. Hen."

Cassel paused in wiping his tears.

What a familiar name.

Nie Wuhen said again: "I am Yundian, Nie Wuhen."

Cassel remembered that this was the name that the strange voice told him when he first came to this world. Does this mean that as long as he follows the person in front of him, he can find a way to break the illusion and return to the devil's hell!

A faint light flashed in his eyes. Cassel wiped his red and swollen eyes again and said in a low voice: "My name is Cassel. You are still blaming me, but there is no one with the last name Nie in this world. You are obviously lying."

Nie Wuhen: "..."

Bai Yi laughed so hard that he fell backwards. His hand holding the fan shook for a long time before he opened it tremblingly. He said with a stifled laugh: "Brother, there are people in this world who don't know your name. That's strange."

Nie Wuhen pulled the corner of his mouth and walked out: "You come to interrogate."

Bai Yi didn't care about his innocence at this moment. He sat down with great interest, looked at Cassel, and said: "What species are you?"

Cassel almost blurted out: "I am an angel."

Bai Yi: "..."

The door was pushed open again, and the two looked over. It was Nie Wuhen who had returned.

Nie Wuhen said succinctly: "Let's go back to Yundian for another trial. You won't be able to get anything out of him with his brain."

Bai Yi agreed.

Cassel frowned and opened his mouth to refute, but when he met Nie Wuhen's cold eyes, he lost his voice instantly and dared not say a word.

"There's some unusual activity in Zhaojia Village," Nie Wuhen said as he took his luggage, "We have to go take a look."

Zhaojia Village is in a place that is so remote that it cannot be more remote. To get there, you have to go around a market.

The market happened to be in season, and vendors were coming and going, hawking their wares. They had everything from home-cooked dishes to rare treasures. It's very lively.

Cassel looked at the transparent and misty chain on his wrist with depression. The chain was as thin as silk and could be longer or shorter depending on the distance between the two people. It's almost unreal. The other end of the chain was hidden on Nie Wuhen's wrist.

The devil longs for freedom and hates being bound the most. He doesn't like to be tied up with chains, but he doesn't dare to confront Nie Wuhen head-on, so he can only wear it on his wrist reluctantly.

A sweet smell came from the tip of his nose. Cassel blinked and turned his head to look over. He saw an old man standing beside him. There were four or five red fruits on a wooden skewer, and the outside was covered with a layer of syrup. The sweet smell kept drilling into Cassel's nostrils, forcing Cassel to stop.

He didn't recognize those fruits, but that didn't stop him from liking to eat sweet and sour things. There were no such sour and sweet things in the demon hell, and he could only wait anxiously for Barbatos to bring them to him from the angel realm every time.

Nie Wuhen was walking forward when he found that he could not pull the chain. He turned around and saw Cassel staring at the candied haws with his eyes almost overflowing with desire.

Nie Wuhen: ...

Bai Yi waved his fan and commented: "It turns out he's still a little foodie."

Cassel could not hear the noisy sounds around him at all. He just pursed his lips slightly and pretended to be pitiful, just like when he met the little angel before.

He pulled the old man who was selling candied haws and said, "I want to eat this."

The old man was dressed in linen and had a weathered face. When he heard someone wanted to buy candied haws, he immediately turned around with a smile. Just as he was about to say something, he was frightened to death when he saw Cassel's green pupils!

"Monster! A monster!"

He screamed heart-wrenchingly, carrying the candied haws, and disappeared in the blink of an eye. People in the market didn't know what was going on and looked over at him.

Nie Wuhen secretly thought that something was wrong, and calmly stood in front of Cassel and pressed his head.

Cassel was petrified.

Bai Yi put away his fan and shouted: "What monster? How can you believe the nonsense of an old man? What are you looking at? We are here to catch monsters!"

After hearing what Bai Yi said, the people who were originally looking over quickly dispersed. After a while, the market became lively again like it was at the beginning.

Cassel took a big step back, avoiding Nie Wuhen's hand, and complained with red eyes: "It's all your fault!"

Nie Wuhen withdrew his hand, pulled the chain, and said: "Let's go!"

"I won't leave!" Cassel got angry. Although he was a demon from hell, he was raised in the palm of Barbatos' hand since he was a child. He was spoiled and had never had his magic power sealed.

Cassel pulled the chain hard and shouted, "Give me back my magic power! You bad guy! Give me back my magic power!"

Nie Wuhen felt his head ache again. He frowned and saw people in the market looking at him again. He gritted his teeth and said, "Are you going to leave or not?"

The air around him was filled with sword energy, and the aura that was contrary to that of the devil was pervasive. It was the kind of fear deep in his bones that made Cassel stand still.

The tip of his nose felt inexplicably sore, Cassel rubbed his nose, and felt his vision a little blurry. Fear, grievance, sadness...all kinds of negative emotions enveloped him, and that familiar evil aura spread silently again.

Nie Wuhen naturally felt it. The Wuwang sword at his waist trembled and let out a mournful cry. Nie Wuhen calmly held the hilt of the sword and looked at Cassel in front of him indifferently.

Monster... or demon?

Seeing that something was not right, Bai Yi quickly tried to smooth things over: "Isn't it just a candied haws? Come on, come on, brother will take you to eat it, okay?"

Changleju.

The waiter was leading the guests to the second floor with a smile on his face. He pushed open the door and said, "What would you three like to eat?"

The room was large, with the windows half open, letting in sunlight and providing some warmth. There was a bed and a table inside, and a set of tea sets was placed on the table. A beaded curtain hangs in the center, dividing the room into two spaces.

Nie Wuhen walked in first. He pulled the chain and pulled in Cassel who was untying the chain. He asked, "What do you want to eat?"

Cassel was angry and turned his head away without paying any attention to Nie Wuhen.

Nie Wuhen pulled the corner of his mouth: "Then don't eat anything."

"Don't!" Cassel was obviously a little anxious. He glanced at Bai Yi, but saw the latter cough twice and cover his face with a fan, as if it was none of his business.

Why is this person like this? Didn't he say he would give himself a candied haws?

Cassel bit his finger and whispered, "I want to eat...Tanghulu."

Nie Wuhen did not respond to his words, but threw a gold ingot to Xiao Er and asked him to buy all the sweets on the street.

Bai Yi was stunned: "Brother, he only wants one candied haws. Can he finish all the candied haws you bought?"

The waiter took the gold, bowed and ran out. Before leaving, he did not forget to close the door and said, "I'll be right back."

Nie Wuhen placed the Wuwang Sword on the table and took out a handkerchief from his arms. He sat on the chair and wiped it carefully, shaking his head slightly at Bai Yi.

The tacit understanding between the two of them was extraordinary, and Bai Yi understood it almost instantly. He closed the window, walked to Cassel who was lying on the table, casually dragged a chair and sat down. Bai Yi asked Cassel: "I have something that smells good, do you want to smell it?"

Cassel's anger came and went quickly. He moved closer, pulled his tentacles aside, and asked curiously: "What is that?"

"This." Bai Yi took out a medicine bottle from the space ring. It was made entirely of white porcelain, about the size of an adult man's thumb, with bamboo carved on it and a line of words written on it that Cassel couldn't understand.

"It smells like plum blossoms, which is priceless. My friend gave it to me, and it smells so good." Bai Yi opened the bottle and handed it over, motioning for Cassel to smell it.

Cassel was heartless. He leaned over and took a deep breath. Then, under the dark gazes of the two men, he timidly stepped back and whispered, "It smells so good... You let me smell it."

The surroundings were quiet for a long time.

Cassel keenly felt that something was wrong with the atmosphere, like a cold wind blowing from the devil's hell, making him shiver.

He shrank back again, with his wings curled up into a ball and pressed tightly against his back, and he didn't even dare to move the tentacles on his forehead.

Cassel felt that the two "devils" in front of him wanted to beat him up.

"What's wrong with you?" Cassel asked weakly, and whispered, "My candied haws...are not here yet."

Nie Wuhen remained calm, reached out and took the bottle from Bai Yi's hand, looked down for a moment, and then put it to the tip of Bai Yi's nose while he was stunned.

Bai Yi was caught off guard and was about to curse. The next second, his eyes gradually became cloudy. Like a puppet, he looked at Nie Wuhen and mechanically uttered two words: "Master..."
