Su Chen returned to the manor, ate, and then went to sleep. She slept very peacefully and soundly.

Su Chen strained to open her eyes and looked toward the source of the sound, only to find a little girl standing at the door. "This servant...this servant has no name, please bestow one upon me, young mistress." The maid said, then lowered her head.

Wow, she's so cute and adorable! Su Chen couldn't help but smile like a doting aunt. "Come here, let me see (pinch) your face."
Just as Su Chen was about to place her wicked hand on Shan'er's face, someone suddenly burst in from outside.
"It's terrible! It's terrible! Bandits from who-knows-where have entered the town! They've robbed several families!" A gatekeeper rushed into the house, his legs trembling as he collapsed to the ground.
