Why even think about him? He always has a cold, stern face, and he acts like everyone owes him money. There's absolutely no beauty in that.
Unlike these male prostitutes, who beam with joy at the sight of money.
"You... you don't like any of them?"
The manager, having been in this line of work for a long time, naturally possessed a keen eye for people. The girl's disdain was plain to see; if he couldn't see it, he'd be wasting his time in this line of work.
Su Chen poured himself a cup of wine without looking up.
The manager quickly whispered in his ear, "We have a male prostitute here, you see..."
Su Chen took out a silver ingot from her pocket, and the steward hurriedly took it from her. "Miss, I'll arrange it for you right away. Please wait a moment."
After saying that, he led everyone inside out.
Su Chen didn't pay attention to any of that and kept drinking, one glass after another. She rarely drank alcohol, but the wine here seemed to have a magical power that made it impossible to stop drinking.
The wine was extremely sweet, and each sip was smooth and not spicy or intoxicating. Su Chen didn't hold back and drank it like a beverage.
Unexpectedly, the wine started burning after it slid into my stomach for a while. At first, it only burned in my stomach, but then it burned up to my esophagus and looked like it was about to rush to my head.
Su Chen realized something was wrong, so she quickly put down her wine cup, put on her bamboo hat, and opened the window.
Just then, the door opened. "Is the young lady impatient?"
Su Chen turned around and saw a handsome young man with three thousand black hairs casually draped over his shoulders. He was dressed in a blue robe that was both elegant and otherworldly. If he hadn't been sitting in a wheelchair... he would have captivated everyone.
The young man noticed her staring intently at his wheelchair, her eyes calm and indifferent, but her eyebrows twitched slightly.
"Are you the prostitute here?" Su Chen withdrew her foot that was hanging outside the window and closed the window again.
The young man seemed completely oblivious to her actions, and continued to bow to her calmly, saying, "It is I, Mo Rufeng. May I ask your name, young lady?"
Su Chen returned the greeting with a cupped hand, saying, "This is Su Chen."
Mo Rufeng seemed surprised that she had revealed her name so quickly, and chuckled softly, "You seem to be quite unpretentious, young lady."
Su Chen laughed too, "Are people who come to brothels really so concerned with such details?"
“Indeed not.” Mo Rufeng said with a smile in his eyes.
Seeing his smile, Su Chen couldn't help but smile as well. "Since you say I'm not particular about formalities, then I'll just ask directly."
"How did someone as refined and aloof as you end up in this mortal world?"
Mo Rufeng: "I am but a commoner living in the mortal world, and I dare not bear the title of 'pure and aloof' bestowed upon you by the young lady."
Su Chen curled her lips; his words were clearly a dodge and weaving. "It seems that Young Master is unwilling to answer this question?"
Mo Rufeng smiled, remaining noncommittal.
Seeing his reaction, Su Chen changed the subject, "Would you be willing to leave this place, young master?"
"Go out?" Mo Rufeng was taken aback.
"Yes, get out." Su Chen pulled out a large wad of silver from her pocket. "Is this enough to redeem you?"
Mo Rufeng merely glanced at the pile of silver coins, then looked up and asked her, "Is the young lady willing to part with it?"
Su Chen was taken aback by his question.
Normally, she would be reluctant to part with the money she just received, but today... she must have lost her mind to take out so much money.
"Thanks for asking, young master, I really couldn't bear to part with it." After saying that, he quickly stuffed the money on the table back.
Mo Rufeng didn't say anything when he saw her like this, but his face, which was hidden by his black hair, curled up almost imperceptibly.
