Chapter 230 A Night Visit to the Vampire Clan (Fifteen)

Su Chen never expected the plot to move so quickly.

Within a few days, the werewolves and vampire hunters reached a basic consensus, and with the help of vampire defense maps obtained from some unknown source, they utterly defeated the vampires.

The people of Polidori were all hiding in the castle, but unexpectedly, during the daytime raid by the Daywalkers, one person walked in unaffected by the castle's bloodline restrictions.

The bright hall was instantly stained blood red.

The system quickly woke Su Chen up. Su Chen wrapped herself up tightly, preparing herself to avoid getting sunburned.

He gritted his teeth, took a running start, and jumped out of the window.

But... she underestimated the number of hunters and werewolves.

She had just jumped out of the window and hadn't even had time to see her surroundings when she heard someone shout, "A vampire jumped down!"

No sooner had the words been spoken than Su Chen heard the sound of arrows leaving the bowstring one after another.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh~" All the cold arrows were aimed at her head.

Su Chen had no choice but to kick the wall a few times, forcibly changing the direction of her fall.

"He went that way! Don't let him get away!" someone shouted, as if it were the last straw.

The string sounds became more frequent.

Startled, Su Chen quickly threw the durian she was carrying, which barely caught their attention, and then ran swiftly into the woods.

"Boss!"

"Boss!"

A handsome man also jumped down from the window where Su Chen had jumped, landing steadily. The vampire hunters all bowed their heads respectfully when they saw the man.

"You stay here, I'll go after them." The man said, his hands behind his back, his figure remaining where he was.

Su Chen was running so hard she felt like she was going to explode. Although she didn't need to breathe, her body was in poor condition. Even among vampires, she was the slowest runner.

As she ran, Su Chen's sixth sense told her something was wrong.

Logically speaking, there should be many vampire hunters who could catch up with her, but why is there not a sound behind her? It's so strange.

But she dared not look back, fearing that if she did, she would truly die.

"Are you tired?" a gentle male voice asked in her ear.

Su Chen replied subconsciously, "Not tired."

She felt something was wrong after she answered.

She quickly tapped the system, "Was that you speaking just now?"

The dog system didn't respond at all.

Su Chen realized something was wrong and ran away as fast as she could.

It's noon now, and even in the woods, sunlight filters through the leaves.

Over time, my skin felt like it was being burned.

"Don't run away," the gentle male voice said again.

Then, Su Chen felt a powerful force pull her from behind, and without warning, she fell into a warm embrace.

Su Chen's heart tightened at the sight of him, fearing that he would remove the cloth covering her and expose her to the sunlight, turning her into a pile of ashes.

A complex emotion flickered in Arthur's eyes before vanishing in an instant.

He took off his coat and covered her completely with it.

So well covered up that Su Chen couldn't see the outside world at all.

It seemed like a few people had caught up. "Boss, this..."

The man beside him chuckled and said, "You want to meddle in my private affairs?"

"No, no..." the people who came repeatedly said they dared not.

"Boss?" Su Chen's mind raced. These people must be vampire hunters, so the leader of the vampire hunters must be... the villainous big boss?!

A surge of emotions welled up in Su Chen's heart, an indescribable feeling that she herself couldn't even perceive.
