“Arthur,” Su Chen said warmly.
The man rubbed his temples and met her gaze.
"Come here~" Su Chen beckoned this way with her index and middle fingers together.
The man frowned, got up, and walked towards her.
Su Chen was secretly delighted. It seemed that hypnosis was really effective!
She then pointed at Arthur and gave him a command: "Now you are the puppy, you have to cross the river."
"What are you doing?" Arthur's eyebrows furrowed even more as he grabbed her wrist and forced her into a corner.
His face was very close, almost touching Su Chen's breath, and he could even see Su Chen's stubble that hadn't fully grown yet.
His eyelashes were so long that they fluttered like feathers when he blinked, casting a light shadow on his lower eyelids.
"Wait a minute... You weren't hypnotized?" Su Chen belatedly realized.
He raised his handsome eyebrows but did not answer.
"It's over..." Su Chen could already foresee the terrible fate of being burned alive.
"Something's wrong! Boss!" a man burst in. "The people in the basement are gone!"
He never expected that what he saw was his boss kissing a woman.
Arthur's tightly pursed lips uttered only one sentence: "Get out."
The person tumbled and crawled out, slamming the door shut behind them.
Once outside, he belatedly asked, "Has the boss been indulging in women?"
"Big news!" he exclaimed excitedly as he went to find the other brothers.
"What do you want from me?" Arthur asked, bracing himself against his arms to create some distance between them.
Su Chen looked up. "Aren't you the boss? Of course I want to talk to you."
"Heh..." Arthur chuckled softly, "What are we talking about?"
Su Chen's eyes darted around, "Naturally, it's about how you'll release me, and... the issue of a ceasefire~"
"Release you? Impossible. Ceasefire... even more impossible!" Arthur replied firmly. "Besides, what benefit would I gain from either releasing you or making peace?"

"How about..." Su Chen turned around, "what do you think of me?"

"Am I qualified to be your maid?" Su Chen blinked a few times, almost pouting and acting cute.

Arthur shook his head. "I don't need a maid."

Arthur raised an eyebrow. "Isn't there one among the vampires?"
Su Chen couldn't refute it; it was the female lead who had started that whole thing.
"Then how do you know I will definitely help the vampires?" Su Chen raised her chin and crossed her arms.
"Oh?" Arthur seemed intrigued.
"I absolutely hate vampires~" As Su Chen spoke, her fangs bit her lip, and a streak of blood flowed down her face.
Arthur frowned, took out a handkerchief from his pocket, and wiped away the blood for her.
"I am hated by vampires and werewolves alike." As she spoke, Su Chen's eyes slowly turned an eerie blood red.
Arthur pressed down on her shoulder, and Su Chen's eyes gradually returned to calm.
Su Chen murmured, "What is this... Is this the original owner's emotion?"
