Arthur hadn't arranged a room for her yet, and a group of hunters outside were hostile towards her. After looking around, she had no choice but to return to Arthur's office, where she nestled on the sofa and closed her eyes.
When she woke up again, Arthur was standing in front of her, holding a blanket.
"Snoring~" Su Chen's stomach rumbled at just the right moment.
Arthur looked a little embarrassed and said, "Are you hungry? I'll have someone bring the food over."
Su Chen shook her head. "I can't eat human food. I need blood..."
It was only then that Arthur belatedly realized she was a vampire.
After a moment of stunned silence, Arthur took out a delicate little porcelain bowl, pulled out a dagger from his pocket, and slashed his wrist.
Su Chen's pupils instantly turned red, the veins on his neck bulged, and his ten fingers gripped the sofa tightly, as if he was about to rush up and bite his neck at any moment.
His blood smells so good... Although she is of noble blood, she has only been a vampire for a short time, and besides, his blood has a mysterious attraction.
Su Chen bared her fangs and flashed in front of Arthur. Caught off guard, Arthur was knocked to the ground by the enormous force of her impact.
Then a sharp pain shot through his neck, and when he tried to push her away, he found that he couldn't lift his hand.
Could it be... that vampires' fangs contain a paralyzing substance?
Arthur didn't have time to think. His neck wasn't hurting as much anymore, and instead, he felt a strange sensation, an indescribable...comfort?
[What the hell are you doing, Su Chen! Wake up! Wake up!] The dog system used its little paws to operate on the keyboard, and a slight current hit Su Chen's head, finally waking her up.
She smelled the scent of blood on the tip of her nose, and looked at the neck so close to her eyes...
Oh my god! She's in deep trouble! Is she going to be on the guillotine soon? Waaaaah... She doesn't want to die, at least not in such a horrible way.
Without delay, Su Chen quickly pulled out the fangs.
Strangely, once the fangs were pulled out, the blood hole in Arthur's neck congealed, and no more blood oozed out. However, the wound on his wrist needed to be treated.
Su Chen saw Arthur standing there in a daze on the ground, quickly helped him up, and tore off a piece of his clothes to make a simple bandage for him.
Then… seeing Arthur's face turn red, green, then blue, the multicolored changes terrified Su Chen. She was terrified that he would call in his men to shoot her dead with a hail of arrows at any moment.
"I didn't mean to... Your blood smelled so good, I was starving for days and couldn't control myself... I'm sorry, how about... you bite back!" Su Chen said, pulling aside the fabric around her neck to reveal her fair and slender neck.
Unexpectedly, the sound of swallowing saliva was heard.
Su Chen was so frightened that she closed her eyes tightly.
Damn it! Let them bite! It's better than being torn to pieces!
As it turned out... the expected pain didn't come at all; instead, my neck felt cool and refreshing.
Arthur was also taken aback.
He had kissed her without thinking, his mind went blank, and when he came to his senses, he quickly took a few steps back to distance himself from her.
Su Chen never expected things to develop in this direction. For a moment, her heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was about to jump out of her throat.
“Come with me,” Arthur said in a hoarse voice.
Su Chen could only lower her head, focusing on her ears and nose, her mind completely blank.
Arthur led her to a room, and Su Chen had an ominous premonition.
"This is your room from now on." With that, Arthur left the room.
Su Chen let out a breath.
