Two days later, Liang Xueting came to visit.
"I heard you stole my cousin's fiancé?"
Su Chen shook her head and waved her hands repeatedly, "It wasn't me, I don't know anything about this."
"What happened?" Liang Xueting closed the door, looking like she wanted to get to the bottom of things.
"Well... your cousin has someone else she likes." Su Chen's inner thoughts: What the hell, Mei, please forgive me for revealing your little secret.
Upon hearing this, Liang Xueting's mouth dropped open. "Huh? My cousin didn't say anything? She just said her fiancé has someone else he likes."
Su Chen snorted inwardly, not expecting the female lead to be so good at shirking responsibility.
If she didn't like the male lead, why wouldn't she attend the engagement party? What a joke!
Su Chen was a little angry, so she spilled everything at once.
As a Scorpio, Su Chen considers herself to be quite vengeful; she feels uneasy if she doesn't retaliate.
"Your cousin has fallen for a college student who's five years younger than her," Su Chen whispered, afraid that the original owner's mother would barge in.
"Oh, I remember now! I know! She seems to have told me about it!" Liang Xueting's eyes lit up.
"Oh right! You should know that guy too, he's the most handsome guy in the computer science department during his junior year!"
"Ah! Him!" Liang Xueting was so shocked her jaw almost dislocated.
Su Chen blinked. "That's right, your cousin has already picked all the high-class beauties."
"Wait a minute!" Liang Xueting sat bolt upright in surprise. "How come I heard that you've always wanted to pluck this unattainable flower?"
As she spoke, she nudged Su Chen with her elbow, "Tell me the truth! Is it because of this that you retaliated against my cousin by stealing her fiancé?"
Su Chen thought to herself: Ugh. How did we end up back here again?
Su Chen held up three fingers. "I swear! I absolutely didn't pry it open!" He came over by himself.
"Hmph, really?" Liang Xueting still looked unconvinced.
“Absolutely true.” Su Chen’s eyes gleamed with a sincerity more genuine than gold.
“Okay, I believe you,” Liang Xueting said softly. “What else happened between them? Tell me.”
Su Chen pondered for a while, then said, "I've got it..."
The two girls chatted about gossip all afternoon in the house, and didn't go out until it was time for dinner.
"What secrets are you two whispering about in the room?" The original owner's mother's shrewd gaze swept over Su Chen and Liang Xueting like a hawk.
Liang Xueting replied with a smile, "Auntie, it's just school gossip, it's pretty boring."
Su Chen also chimed in with a few words of support.
"Xueting, you have such good grades, so why don't you tutor my Suchen more when you're studying? Look at how lazy she is, I don't even know if she'll graduate." The original owner's mother didn't want to miss a moment of opportunity to complain about Suchen.
Su Chen said she wouldn't participate in the discussion and ate her rice much faster.
"Xueting, don't leave today, stay at our house." After dinner, the original owner's mother persuaded her.
Surprisingly, Liang Xueting actually agreed.
Just as Su Chen was about to ask her why she agreed, Liang Xueting pulled her aside and said, "Can I borrow your game pod to play with for a while tonight?"
Su Chen understood immediately. She wondered why Liang Xueting had agreed to stay at her house so easily. It turned out she had her eye on her gaming pod.
Su Chen nodded, "Okay, you can borrow it to play, just for an hour."
"Su Chen, you're the best!" Liang Xueting grabbed Su Chen's waist and almost strangled her.
Su Chen instructed, "I'm going to read a book anyway, so you can play for a while. Don't forget to tell my teammates who you are, or it'll be bad if they carry you through a difficult dungeon."
