Su Chen doesn't necessarily like strong female leads; she just wants the female lead to be independent but not to rely on the male lead for everything.
What she hates most is a female lead who is more trouble than she's worth, who can't help but insists on helping, and in the end drags a lot of people down with her. Isn't that just being difficult?
"Okay, okay." The system felt that it was no longer suitable to be a third wheel in the current situation.
Su Chen's thoughts were pulled back by the stinging sensation on her lips.
She covered her mouth: "Are you a dog?!"
Song Ming neither agreed nor disagreed.
Su Chen pushed him away and turned over. Anyway, she saw that there was no one on the other side of the door, so she didn't need to pretend anymore.
After a while, Su Chen's shallow, even breathing could be heard.
Song Ming opened his eyes, moonlight fragments scattered on his eyelashes, his eyes like obsidian. He quietly looked to his side for a while, then raised his finger to gently wipe the corner of his lips, curled his lips slightly, and closed his eyes again.

Su Chen frowned, covered her head, and ignored him.

The noise outside the door stopped.
Su Chen turned over, hugged the blankets, and continued to sleep soundly.
"Knock knock knock..." There was a knock on the door.
Su Chen frowned impatiently. How long has it been? Still knocking!
"Get up! Get up, Su Chen!"
Upon hearing this, Su Chen recognized Ms. Wu's voice. She quickly pried open her sticky eyelids and sat up.
"Mom," she called as she opened the door.
"Your hair..." Ms. Wu was shocked when she saw Su Chen's appearance; her hair looked like a bird's nest.
"Ah..." Su Chen quickly smoothed her hair and made it lie down a little. "I just got up."
Su Chen has a problem: no matter how she combs her hair before bed or how carefully she tries not to press it down, it still looks as messy as a bird's nest the next day.
"It's already ten o'clock, almost lunchtime. It's not good to skip breakfast. Song Ming didn't want anyone to wake you up this morning, so you slept for another three hours." Ms. Song complained slightly, but considering what happened yesterday... she was still quite understanding of Su Chen's laziness in bed.
"I'm sorry," Su Chen said, scratching her head.
Three hours have already passed? She thought only ten minutes had gone by.
Ms. Wu nodded and said, "Go wash up quickly."
Su Chen agreed, quickly wet her hair and then washed her face.
She went downstairs with a bare face.
Ms. Wu was seen sitting on the sofa with her arms crossed, glancing at her phone every now and then.
Su Chen knew that Ms. Wu must have something on her mind, but it was none of her business, so she pretended not to see anything and went to eat.
"Ding-dong: Host, I have a side quest here, do you want to do it?" The system suddenly popped up.
"What? Is there any reward? I won't do it if there isn't." Su Chen bit into the alkaline fried dough stick, which was crunchy, but it didn't taste like chicken.
"Yes, you can enter a lottery after completing the side quests!"
"Then tell me what this side quest is?" Su Chen's eyes darted around, and she was careful. She needed to see if the quest was easy before deciding whether to accept it.
"Host, don't try to outsmart this system. You're so stupid, why would you try to outsmart it?! You don't even know how powerful this system is!"
"What? How am I supposed to know if I'll do it or not if you don't tell me? I don't know anything about being cunning or scheming." Su Chen decided to play dumb if she could.
"Hmph, I'm telling you. I can only tell you if you accept the mission, otherwise don't even think about it."
