The next morning, the first thing Su Chen saw when he opened his eyes was thatch. After looking around, he slowly remembered what had happened.
There was burnt meat on the wooden table. Su Chen rubbed her stomach and took a bite... It really had no taste at all! But when people are hungry, they can eat anything. As long as the meat was cooked, what was there to complain about?
It's obvious that Bai Ze knew she didn't eat raw meat and this was the first time he had ever grilled it over a fire.
Su Chen's stomach didn't feel very satisfied with the meal, but she felt sweet inside.
After eating, she felt sticky all over, but there wasn't even a bathtub in the room. Su Chen had no choice but to take the largest basin she had used for eating, find some spring water, fill it with cool water, and go back to the room to wash herself, thinking about talking to Bai Ze about the whole wooden tub tonight.
I don’t know what the people who found her yesterday said when they went back, but Su Chen didn’t see a single person from Muxu Xing all day. They probably thought she was useless and might as well give her away to someone else.
Bai Ze didn't return until sunset.
He wasn't empty-handed either; in one hand he was carrying a creature that looked like a pheasant, and in the other he was carrying a plump piece of meat that looked like a piglet.
Su Chen quickly stood up to take his hand. "You went hunting?"
"Hmm." Bai Ze didn't let her carry them. He carried the two unidentified creatures to the backyard, cleaned them, and then soaked them in the cool spring water.
When he returned after washing his hands, Su Chen hurriedly asked, "Where do you usually bathe?"
“Just wash in the spring,” Bai Ze said matter-of-factly.
Su Chen knew this would happen, so she had no choice but to ask again, "Where...where is the female?"
“That’s true.” Bai Ze looked at her strangely. “Aren’t you guys like that?”
Su Chen shook her head.
After a long pause, Bai Ze said, "Strange."
Su Chen: ? ? ? Are you sure?
Why do I feel so annoyed that he called me weird?
“You know I’m from another planet, and my lifestyle is a bit different from yours.” Su Chen looked at him cautiously. “Could you make me a wooden barrel that can hold me?”
Bai Ze frowned and asked, "So you're sleeping in barrels?"
“I…” Su Chen took a deep breath, “We’ll use that to hold water and take a bath.”
Bai Ze then withdrew his surprised expression.
"Oh, right, here you go." He pulled out a pumpkin-shaped fruit from behind his back, but this fruit was much smaller than a pumpkin; she could hold it in one hand.
Su Chen smiled sweetly and said, "Thank you." Then she took the fruit and started taking a bite.
She suspected that the fruit was related to the pumpkin, because it tasted very similar to pumpkin pancakes, and was even pasty like a cake.
"Where did you pick this fruit? I'll go pick some tomorrow too." Su Chen smiled at him, in a good mood.
Unexpectedly, he kept his head down with his face flushed, and the tips of his ears were also bright red, which was quite adorable.
Bai Ze's skin is very white, and it hasn't gotten tanned even after being exposed to the wind and sun. I don't know if it's because he's a white-haired lion.
Now, the blush is even more noticeable against my fair skin.
"What's wrong?" Su Chen squatted down and asked him knowingly.
Bai Ze turned his head away. "It's nothing."
Su Chen almost burst out laughing. The villains in this world are so awkward...and adorable.
Bai Ze remained silent for a while before looking down at her again, but he still didn't dare to look her in the eye.
"I'll pick a basket of those fruits for you tomorrow."
Su Chen was taken aback, then almost laughed. "Are there any other fruits? I'd like to try some."
"Yes." Bai Ze nodded, silently recalling the location of each fruit.
"Have you eaten?" Su Chen suddenly realized that he probably hadn't eaten since he came back so late.
